Chapter 1602: Chapter 662: An Unusual Feeling

"Throw this woman into my tent and have her wash the clothes until they’re clean. Don’t let her out until she’s done."

After speaking, Chi Ye took off his outer robe and tossed it to Wuyue.

Wuyue hurriedly caught it, and a Chi Prison Soldier stepped out from behind Chi Ye.

Shui Yaoyao nodded at Wuyue, and the latter obediently lowered her head and followed the Chi Prison Soldier towards Chi Ye’s tent.

Seeing Chi Ye remove his outer robe, his white-colored inner robe made his honey-colored skin even more striking, exuding an indescribable masculine charm.

Shui Yaoyao found herself blushing, her heart stirring with affection.

"Brother Chi Ye, are you going on an inspection today? I’ll accompany you."

Chi Ye snorted coldly at this but did not refuse.

"If you can keep up, then come along."

With that said, he strode forward swiftly like the wind.

Shui Yaoyao hurried to keep up, but before long, Chi Ye and his subordinates had sped away out of sight.

Frustrated and unwilling to give up, Shui Yaoyao stomped her foot angrily and went to find her Clan Leader father.

Beside Chi Ye’s tent, Wuyue, accompanied by a Chi Prison Soldier, arrived in front of the tent.

She finally got rid of that red-haired baboon.

With a lighter step, Wuyue silently praised her own quick thinking earlier.

If she remembered correctly, the Merit Book of the Demon Tribe should be in Chi Ye’s tent.

She just so happened to use this chance of washing clothes to sneak into his tent.

"Miss Wuyue, this is the lord’s tent. Apart from the clothes that need washing, the lord doesn’t like others touching his things, so please don’t touch anything recklessly."

The soldier who brought Wuyue was in his twenties, and due to not being around women often, he was too shy to look directly at Wuyue.

Wuyue was attractive and, unlike other Demon Clan women, didn’t dress in a garish demon-like manner, easily evoking a good impression.

"Thank you, Brother Soldier." Wuyue smiled sweetly.

By nature, she was kind-hearted. Although living among the Demon Clan, after interacting with them for a while, she discovered that not all demons are inherently cruel; many are good individuals.

"There’s no need for formalities, miss. It’s up to you now."

The soldier flushed slightly, giving her a sympathetic glance before quickly leaving to join Chi Ye and the others for the inspection.

Chi Ye’s tent was a guest tent, but because of his status, it was decorated very grandly, almost as large as the Royal Tent, yet there was no guard.

The guard’s earlier comment suggested that the red-haired baboon had a peculiar temper, employing only his own subordinates for service, and all his daily needs were handled by them.

As for maids, there weren’t any at all.

Truly a person with an odd temperament.

Wuyue lifted the tent curtain, and the typical scent of manly sweat wafted over.

Wuyue’s mouth twitched violently.

This... Was this really a place for someone to live?

Inside the tent, clothes and books were strewn about messily.

There were also various weapons and writing tools carelessly tossed around.

On a glance, it was apparent that no one had tidied up for several days.

Since Chi Ye had no maids and his subordinates were all rough men who couldn’t tend to such matters, Chi Ye simply tossed his clothes wherever, changing one set and throwing it aside.

The outfit he wore in the morning was actually the last clean set he had with him.

Chi Ye didn’t bother calling someone to clean up, and he didn’t want maids with strange scents coming into his tent. After smelling Wuyue’s scent and finding it pleasant, he sent her over as a free "laundry worker."

With such chaos, it was unknown at first glance where the Merit Book might be.

The most annoying part was that Wuyue had to clean the place up.

"Damn red-haired baboon!"

Wuyue cursed through gritted teeth but eventually resigned herself to rolling up her sleeves, cursing the "red-haired baboon" while she cleaned up.

Fortunately, Wuyue had grown up with several untidy senior brothers, especially Fourth Senior Brother Qin Xiaochuan, whose laziness rivaled Chi Ye’s, so her cleaning skills were well-honed.

The tent was large, and after a day of washing, scrubbing, and airing it out, it was finally clean.

After a full day of work, Wuyue’s back was sore; it was more tiring than a fight. Judging by the time, that red-haired baboon’s inspection shouldn’t be over yet.

She casually brewed a pot of tea, took a few sips, and browsed around to see if she could find the Merit Book.

But as she drank, she unknowingly fell asleep on the desk.

Chi Ye returned to camp before it was fully dark.

His expression was displeased; all day, Shui Yaoyao had followed him relentlessly, undoubtedly due to Shui Yi secretly leaking his schedule.

Finally fed up, Chi Ye left Shui Yaoyao and the Chi Prison soldiers behind and came back earlier.

As he pulled open the tent curtain, Chi Ye was somewhat startled.

The tent was completely transformed, clean and new.

The clothes had been washed, and the books were neatly arranged.

The martial robe from earlier was hung on a rack, and the haphazard stitches at the bottom had become neat and tidy.

For a moment, Chi Ye almost thought he had entered the wrong tent.

Then he noticed a teapot on the desk; the aroma of tea spread, calming Chi Ye’s irritable mood.

Upon closer inspection, besides the teapot, a small head was resting on the desk.

The fierce low-level maid from earlier in the day was sleeping soundly, unaware that he had returned.

Chi Ye frowned and approached, ready to throw the woman out.

But as he got closer, he found his attention drawn to Wuyue’s sleeping face.

Her skin was so pale it was almost translucent, with a faint blush.

Her long eyelashes fluttered with her breathing.

A few strands of long black hair, due to her sleeping posture, had slipped from her cheeks to her neck, grazing her chest. Though not notably ample, they were of just the right size, tempting Chi Ye with the urge to reach out and measure.

Against her fair skin, the scene had an added touch of allure.

This image, like a painting, with a faint fragrance lingering, made Chi Ye’s breathing hitch.

He felt a sudden, inexplicable heat rise within him, and without thinking, he grabbed the brewed tea, gulped down a few mouthfuls, and eased the strange heat.

With a loud "bang," he slammed the teapot back onto the table.

In her sleep, Wuyue was startled awake.

Deep in slumber, Wuyue was suddenly awakened by a loud noise, hurriedly opening her eyes to find herself staring into Chi Ye’s furious eyes.

"What are you doing here?"

Still a bit dazed, Wuyue realized she was still in Chi Ye’s tent only after speaking.

She jumped up as if her eyebrows were on fire.
