Reborn as the Top Omega Hunter: My Alpha Hears My Inner Thoughts [BL]
Chapter 9: Listen to Me
Jiang Zihan’s questions came one after another, but Mo Shiyan did not answer any of them. The only thing he did was lower his eyes, staring blankly at something.
Jiang Zihan did not understand what he meant at first, until he glanced down and realized that he was still holding onto Mo Shiyan’s wrist tightly.
His eyes widened a little, and he immediately let go. He stepped a few steps back and apologized, "Sorry, I didn’t know—"
"It’s nothing," Mo Shiyan replied before he finished his sentence.
His voice was low, and he placed a hand over that wrist as he spoke.
Then, looking at Jiang Zihan, he asked, "Why... Why did you help me this time? Weren’t you also part of them before?"
Jiang Zihan was still lost in his thoughts. His wrist was so thin; I need to get him to eat more.
The tip of Mo Shiyan’s ears quickly grew red, but turned back to normal a few seconds later. He called Jiang Zihan’s name again, pulling him back to reality.
That question had reminded him that he was still living inside the body of a cannon fodder character who used to bully Mo Shiyan.
He felt that his head started hurting again. Now the question is: how can I let Mo Shiyan know that I am not like how I was before?
Even if I told him the truth, it’s not likely that he would believe my words.
But then another thought crossed his mind. If he told Mo Shiyan a portion of the truth, would there be a possibility that it might slowly change the way Mo Shiyan viewed him?
He believed that it might work.
With that in mind, Jiang Zihan started to carefully build his words and replied, "Now thinking back, what I have done to you was truly terrible. I totally ignored your feelings and treated you so poorly..."
"But now I’ve finally realized how wrong I was. I... I only agreed to help Gu Yan because he asked me to, so..."
Why am I apologizing for things that I haven’t even done?!!
Outwardly, Jiang Zihan was apologizing, but he was totally crying in his mind.
As from what he remembered, at this time, Mo Shiyan still doesn’t know that he was the ’real heir’, so it seemed like he had to find a time to remind him of that fact and help arrange a meeting with his parents.
Then he could just dump all the blame onto Gu Yan. I’m such a genius!
The little "Jiang Zihan" in Mo Shiyan’s mind was twirling around in circles and gave himself a round of applause.
Mo Shiyan’s eyes flickered a little, a soft chuckle coming from his lips.
"I know, I won’t blame you," Mo Shiyan replied with a gentle smile.
"Really...?" Jiang Zihan asked in surprise.
But after hesitating for a moment, he shook his head.
"I think that you should still blame me... What I did before was truly terrible, and I shouldn’t be forgiven so easily."
It’s all the original Jiang Zihan’s fault!
"In that case, why don’t you take care of me for a while?"
"What...?"
"You’re right about what you said. As compensation for what you have done, how about you listen to me for a while?" Mo Shiyan asked.
Jiang Zihan felt that the sentence didn’t sound right, but he couldn’t tell what was wrong with it. He still nodded in agreement though.
Mo Shiyan is seriously an angel at this time. He’s not even willing to make any unreasonable demands.
"Then let us get back to the dorm and show me where you are injured," he said, subconsciously taking Mo Shiyan’s hand and bringing him back.
Mo Shiyan lowered his eyes and stared at the hand wrapped around his own. The smile on his face seemed to deepen, but if Jiang Zihan was willing to turn around and take a look at him, he would notice that it wasn’t the smile of someone who was happy. Instead, it was the smile of a predator who saw its prey and was ready to bite on their neck, never willing to let go.
——
Back at their dorm, Jiang Zihan immediately told him to sit on the chair and take off his clothes.
"That’s not appropriate..." Mo Shiyan said hesitantly as he gripped the corner of his shirt tightly.
"We’re both Beta, so there’s no problem at all," Jiang Zihan replied as he reached over to pull Mo Shiyan’s shirt, totally forgetting that he’s an Omega right now.
Seeing his action, Mo Shiyan slowly lifted his shirt. The moment Jiang Zihan saw his back, his eyes widened in shock.
A large area of his back was bruised, and there was a long cut on it that was still bleeding.
"You’re hurt so badly; how did you even endure it?" Jiang Zihan asked as he quickly took out a bottle of antiseptic and carefully wiped it on his wound.
The cold sensation of the antiseptic made Mo Shiyan shiver a little, which immediately caught Jiang Zihan’s attention.
"Did I hurt you? I’ll be more careful this time."
After saying so, he continued, but this time it was much lighter, as if he was handling a fragile, precious treasure.
Throughout the process, none of them said a word, with only the sound of the wiping of the wound. Suddenly, Jiang Zihan caught the scent of rose coming from the back of Mo Shiyan’s neck. It smelled very good, and he was a bit curious about where it came from.
"Shiyan... can I call you this way?" he asked cautiously.
Only when Mo Shiyan nodded did he continue speaking. "Where did that rose scent come from? Are you wearing perfume? It smells so good."
Mo Shiyan shook his head. "I’m not sure either. I don’t have the money for things like that."
Hearing that Mo Shiyan replied ’no’, Jiang Zihan did not continue on with this topic. He focused all his attention on treating the wound instead.
