Mo Shiyan turned his head, frowning a little. Almost everyone from the opposing team was chasing after them, except for the one person who had been injured by them a bit earlier.

To understand how all of this had started, they had to turn the clock a few hours before. After they had eliminated another monster, Jiang Zihan knelt a knee on the floor, sweat rolling down his forehead. He could feel that he’s already at his limits and could no longer continue on, so he leaned on the wall and slowly slid down to the floor.

"That was so tiring... I need a break right now," Jiang Zihan complained, his voice sounding a bit soft.

Mo Shiyan raised an eyebrow, though he did not say anything and just leaned on the wall beside him. Just at this time, they suddenly heard a loud crash coming from the left.

"Should we go?" Jiang Zihan asked.

"Didn’t you say that you cannot move anymore?" Mo Shiyan asked back.

"But what if it’s our team members?" Jiang Zihan retorted. He stood back up on his feet before quickly walking over in that direction, with Mo Shiyan following behind him. He hoped that they could run into their teammates; however, they somehow met the opposing team, who had just finished dealing with a monster.

Jiang Zihan: "..."

He turned his head and moved a little closer to Mo Shiyan, trying to find a sense of security before asking, "Shiyan, what should we do next? Fight or not?"

Before Mo Shiyan could even respond to his question, their sudden appearance had instantly attracted the opposing team’s attention. Jiang Zihan could somehow sense the hostility in their gazes, especially when they noticed the score card that was sticking out of Mo Shiyan’s pocket.

After they were staring at each other cautiously for a moment, the opposing captain made a hand signal, and the expression of their teammates immediately changed, getting ready for a fight.

Jiang Zihan’s expression turned a bit more serious when looking toward them with magical energy running throughout his body.

Just as he was still hesitating on whether or not he should test their strength first, someone suddenly grabbed him by the arm and pulled him away.

Jiang Zihan: "!!!"

He turned his head and noticed that it was Mo Shiyan holding on to his arm and leading him to run in the opposite direction. "Shiyan...?" he called out tentatively.

"There’s no need for us to go against them right now. Our priority is to meet up with the others, so we shouldn’t waste our time," Mo Shiyan explained calmly, and his speed hadn’t slowed down at all.

Seeing something from behind, Jiang Zihan gestured for Mo Shiyan to let go of him before twisting his body in mid-air, dodging the attack as he materialized strands of thread around him, which they quickly coiled around the person who attacked behind him. He gripped tighter around the strands of thread, which caused the person to be totally unable to move. Then he turned around and followed behind Mo Shiyan.

The wind howled past their ears, and after they ran for a while, the sound of footsteps behind them was still there. Jiang Zihan took a look behind and noticed that they were separating into several groups and trying to close in from different directions. The person who had previously been trapped by the thread had also broken free and closely forward behind them.

"Tsk... What a pain," Jiang Zihan clicked his tongue impatiently.

He had just finished a battle, and ever since he entered this dungeon, he barely had the time to take a rest, so now his magical energy had nearly drained. If they kept running like this, they would most likely be caught before they could even find their teammates.

Another beam of light struck toward them, which he instinctively pushed Mo Shiyan over to the side and used this force to jump backward in order to dodge the attack. He gritted his teeth as magical energy gathered above his palm. Then he materialized the sword in his hand and swung it backward, unleashing several fierce slashes toward them, shattering the ground and causing the stones to fly around from the damaged floor.

After the dust disappeared, Jiang Zihan was surprised to realize that there was no one standing in place. He wanted to continue, but when he lowered his eyes, he realized that the hand gripping the long sword trembled a little, as the last strike had consumed a significant amount of his magical energy, which he could barely even hold his sword.

Jiang Zihan looked around him cautiously, and in the next second, he suddenly turned around and held his sword horizontally in front of him to block the attack.

Clang!

The immense impact had caused his whole left arm to feel numb, which he was forced to step a few steps backward.

His opponent was stunned for a moment, as if he did not expect Jiang Zihan to still have the strength to block that attack. Catching this opportunity, Jiang Zihan’s gaze sharpened as he spun and swept the sword horizontally, the blade slicing across his opponent’s abdomen, causing him to fall backward to the floor.

At the same time, Mo Shiyan landed his sight on the opposing team’s captain, which the captain seemed to notice and turned his head; their gaze met.

The opposing captain could sense the strong aura surrounding Mo Shiyan, which caused his expression to change a little, though he quickly forced himself to calm down.

He bit his teeth before tightening his grip on the weapon. "I’ll deal with you first before I take care of the other one," he said as he charged toward Mo Shiyan at lightning speed, though it meant nothing in Mo Shiyan’s eyes.

Just as the opponent was a few meters away, Mo Shiyan jumped up and shifted to the side to dodge the attack, followed by a sharp uppercut to the opposing captain’s chin before he turned around and gave him a roundhouse kick, which caused the opponent to slam heavily against the wall.

The opposing captain immediately coughed out a mouthful of blood as he slid down to the floor.

"Captain!"

The expressions of the few teammates standing behind him immediately changed. But they did not have the time to worry about their captain, as Mo Shiyan’s team members had already arrived—including Su Li, who had cleared out every monster blocking her way and somehow happened to meet with Chen Tianyu (who was trying to find his sub-dragon).

Su Li took a look at the opposing captain who was lying on the floor and raised an eyebrow as he gaze shifted toward Mo Shiyan, falling deep into her own thoughts. Mo Shiyan noticed that she was observing him, though he didn’t really care about her sight.

Just then, Jiang Zihan finally finished off his opponent and made his way back. He took a look at the opposing team’s captain, who had already lost consciousness; the corner of his mouth twitched a little. "It’s over already? That was quicker than I thought," he said.

Mo Shiyan lowered his leg. "Weaker than I thought," he said with a calm expression.

Ignoring the sights of the opposing team’s members, he bent down beside the opposing captain and looked for their team’s score card in his pocket. Then he took out his team’s score card and watched as the number on the card automatically turned from 800 to 1300 before returning the card.

Since the opposing team had originally planned to steal their points, then they shouldn’t mind that Mo Shiyan is doing the same thing to them.

Seeing his actions, the expressions of the opposing team members darkened, though not a single one of them stepped up.

They had originally planned to surround and attack Mo Shiyan together while his attention was attracted by their captain; but now that their captain had been so easily defeated, they did not dare to do anything else. One of them even took a step back when he noticed his gaze.

Su Li just took a look at them and immediately closed her eyes, losing interest in what was happening in front of her. After the team had gathered, leaving this dungeon would be much easier. All they had to do was to wait for ten minutes so that the other team gets eliminated because they got no points left, and they would automatically be teleported out of the dungeon.

The moment they stepped out of the dungeon, a round of applause suddenly rose around them.

"Let us congratulate the Moon of the Nine Heavens team on winning this round and successfully advancing to the second round of the competition!"

"Let us look forward to their performance in the next round!" the host said, as the crowd seemed to turn even more excited.

Mo Shiyan walked forward and handed the score card to the teacher before leading his team out of the arena.
