The next morning, Jiang Zihan and Mo Shiyan arrived at the dining hall and waited for Shen Qingci and Shen Qingyi to come. Mo Shiyan went to get food, and a few minutes later, he placed a plate in front of Jiang Zihan when the both of them arrived, just at the same time.

"Good morning," Shen Qingyi said politely before sitting down across the table.

Jiang Zihan nodded before asking, "How are you feeling right now? Feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"

Shen Qingyi shook her head. "Don’t worry, everything’s fine. Ling Mengyao had controlled her power very nicely, and I wasn’t injured that badly," Shen Qingyi replied with a soft smile on her face.

"So... why are you calling us here? I asked you this question during the phone call yesterday, but you weren’t willing to directly answer me. Is it about the Freshmen Showcase Tournament?" Shen Qingci asked casually as he bit on the vegetable.

Hearing no response, he was stunned for a moment before looking toward them. This time he was actually shocked. "I was just guessing. I got the right answer already?"

Mo Shiyan didn’t seem surprised that Shen Qingci knew about the competition. He nodded in confirmation. "We were actually planning to ask if you two would like to join us, and if you agreed, we could start signing up for the tournament."

"I don’t mind, since I enjoyed collaborating with both of you. But I remember that a team requires seven people. Even with us, there are only four students. Do you have anyone else in mind?"

"There are two more... and I was thinking if both of you are willing to join us, then I could introduce you to them," Jiang Zihan replied.

After they reached an agreement, they quickly finished their breakfast and headed toward the garden where the argument had taken place the previous day. With the help of the teachers, the garden had returned to normal, not showing any signs that there had been a battle that had just happened the day before.

Lin Xingxue and Chen Tianyu had already been waiting for them.

"I knew that you would come," Lin Xingxue suddenly said as she looked toward Mo Shiyan.

"Oh?" Mo Shiyan raised an eyebrow.

As the tension between them began to grow, the aura surrounding them started to increase when neither of them were willing to back down. The others tacitly kept their distance from them, and Jiang Zihan had even brought Shen Qingci and Shen Qingyi over and introduced them to Chen Tianyu.

Shen Qingyi looked toward their direction and instinctively moved closer to her brother. "Is it really okay for them to be like this?"

"Don’t worry, Shiyan knows what he’s doing," Jiang Zihan replied.

Shen Qingyi: "..."

Zihan, are you sure the person you’re talking about is the same person I’m talking about...? Shen Qingyi really wanted to ask this question, but seeing Mo Shiyan’s ice-cold face, she decided to shut her mouth.

Chen Tianyu quickly shifted the topic back to the point. "Now that we have six members, we still need one more student before we can sign up for the tournament. But who could we find?" Chen Tianyu asked thoughtfully.

The four of them fell silent. They are all just first-year students who came from different high schools, so they barely know anyone else who came to the same Hunter Academy with them.

Just then, Shen Qingyi silently raised her hand and suggested, "Maybe we could wait until classes start on Monday and see whose abilities would fit our team. Then we can invite them to join."

The other three nodded in agreement, believing that what Shen Qingyi suggested made sense. Then they began discussing the team’s weaknesses and what kind of "Hunter" would fit in their team.

Time flies by fast, and in the blink of an eye, a week has passed by. Since Saturday morning, Jiang Zihan had been staring at Mo Shiyan for the whole day. When he saw that Mo Shiyan totally showed no sign of returning to the Gu Family, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

Looks like this time... even if there’s a day where Mo Shiyan would fall completely into darkness, that day would come a little later.

Then he patted his cheeks and forced himself to wake up. Jiang Zihan... don’t forget that you’re here to change both Mo Shiyan’s and your own fate. Don’t let off your guard so easily!

That cautious mindset stayed with Jiang Zihan all the way until Monday, which was officially the day when first-year students had the opportunity to awaken their ability and identify their ranks.

Just the day before, Jiang Zihan and Mo Shiyan had both gone to the Hunter Center and completed their registrations. Once all the applications were reviewed and progressed, they would become a professional Hunter, so they didn’t really have to attend class during the Awakening Day.

But they still came, since they planned to find their seventh team member on that day. The campus was a lot livelier than usual on the Awakening Day; even some of the upperclassmen came to see.

Before they had even gotten close, Jiang Zihan could already see the crowd gathered around the training field. In the center of the field, except for the tables and chairs prepared for the teachers, there were only several Awakening Stones placed on top of a temporary awakening platform.

Most of the freshmen were already waiting in line; their expressions were full of nervousness and anticipation. After all, for the people of this world, the awakening of a special ability means that they could become a professional Hunter, which could be said to be one of the most important turning points in their lives.

If someone awakened as a B-Rank Hunter or higher, they might even be invited to famous Hunter organizations, so it basically counts as the day that could change their entire life.

Just then, Song Yuan walked forward and introduced himself to all the freshmen.
