Reborn as the Top Omega Hunter: My Alpha Hears My Inner Thoughts [BL]
Chapter 52: Don’t Go!
When Mo Shiyan told him that he could turn around, Jiang Zihan felt that the back of his neck was a bit heated. He reached up and pressed a hand on that spot, which the coldness of his hand allowed the back of his neck to feel a bit more comfortable.
However, the moment he lowered his hand, his scent gland seemed to warm up again.
It seems like I have to get another heat suppressant injection when I get back into my room.
"Need me for anything?" Mo Shiyan asked, his voice as calm as ever, and Jiang Zihan was unable to understand what he was thinking.
Jiang Zihan actually didn’t know why the first thing he did was to find Mo Shiyan the second he woke up. He stiffly nodded his head and replied, "I just wanted to tell you that there was a message sent to your phone."
Hearing this, Mo Shiyan walked past him and went straight toward the living room. Jiang Zihan let out a sigh of relief before he quickly followed behind.
Mo Shiyan had already read the message when he entered the living room. He turned his head and asked, "Did you see what it said?"
Jiang Zihan shook his head honestly. "Is it something important?" he asked.
"Nothing much... just a message from Gu Yuxi."
Jiang Zihan was stunned for a moment when the past memories about Mo Shiyan’s background had been recalled. Gu Yuxi had already appeared within the story; did that mean that the story was finally about to start...?
Then, there was suddenly a phone that was held out in front of him. He lifted his head and met Mo Shiyan’s gaze, whose eyes reflected his face. "What... is this?" he asked with a hoarse voice.
"I told you before. You can unlock my phone and look through it anytime you want," Mo Shiyan replied.
Jiang Zihan lowered his eyes and subconsciously looked at the message. Shiyan, can you come home next Saturday? Mother and Father missed you a lot.
"This is...?"
Although Jiang Zihan’s tone sounded a bit confused, he already knew what the purpose of this message was. In the original story, this message was actually sent by Gu Yan, who had secretly taken Gu Yuxi’s phone. Its purpose was to persuade Mo Shiyan to go back to where the Gu parents were living, so that he could assassinate him on the way.
That was one of the most important plotlines of the game, as it had pushed Mo Shiyan past his breaking point and caused him to plan everything that would lead to Gu Yan’s death.
But Gu Yan’s death is not important to Jiang Zihan at all. What’s more important was that it would also lead to the original "Jiang Zihan’s" death!
But wasn’t it way too early for the Gu parents to recognize Mo Shiyan as their son? This plotline should be toward the middle of the story. The main story hadn’t even begun yet...
And if I was not mistaken, after this plot, the timeline would soon progress to the scene where Mo Shiyan pushed the original "Jiang Zihan" off the cliff.
What should I do to change this ending?
"Zihan...? Zihan?!"
Just when Jiang Zihan was lost in his thoughts, he suddenly felt a hand being placed on his shoulder. He instinctively looked up and noticed that it was Mo Shiyan. Then he forced a smile on his face and asked, "Shiyan, what is it?"
"...I was just asking what you would like to eat right now. You haven’t eaten anything before falling asleep, right?"
Mo Shiyan looked a little unhappy... Don’t ask how he was able to read that from that ice-cold face.
Anything is fine... Well, Jiang Zihan had originally wanted to say so. However, after seeing Mo Shiyan’s expression, he had a strange feeling and changed his mind at the end. "Maybe... a chicken sandwich?" he tentatively asked back.
Mo Shiyan gently nodded his head before walking toward the kitchen. But suddenly, Jiang Zihan called out to him. "Wait—"
"Are you... are you gonna go see your parents this Saturday?" Jiang Zihan asked, his voice filled with concern.
Mo Shiyan stopped. Jiang Zihan had expected him to ask how he knew about his past (how he knew that he was the fake-heir of the Gu Family), but Mo Shiyan did not. He just stood there, not speaking a word.
Jiang Zihan had somehow found the courage to speak everything out. He walked forward and held Mo Shiyan’s hand. "Don’t go there. I can’t tell you why right now, but don’t go see them."
"At least... not this time..." he continued, his voice lower.
That way, you won’t have to face the assassin that almost took your life.
And I won’t have to reach my end so fast.
To Jiang Zihan, it had been so long since he had first transmigrated to this world. The life from his original world felt so far away from him right now, and only Mo Shiyan’s existence could still prove to him that he had transmigrated into the game and was still alive in this world.
At the very beginning, all he wanted to do was to change his own fate and find a way back to his original world, so he became friends with Mo Shiyan, hoping to get some clues. But now, he could barely understand if his actions were all for himself... or for Mo Shiyan.
But there’s one thing that he’s certain about: he doesn’t want Mo Shiyan to die.
After a long moment, Mo Shiyan finally turned around. Jiang Zihan subconsciously looked up, and the corners of his eyes were painted light red. Mo Shiyan reached out and gently wiped it, feeling that it was a bit wet.
"Although I’m not sure why you say so, if you’re telling me not to go, then I won’t go," Mo Shiyan replied with a light smile. Then, without Jiang Zihan having the time to react, he had already walked away.
