Jiang Zihan quickly used his magical energy to create a protective barrier below him (Jiang Zihan had learned this skill from Ling Mengyao), but Mo Shiyan reacted even faster and grabbed his arm tightly before pulling him straight up.

Ouch!

The sudden force of movement caused Jiang Zihan to crash straight into Mo Shiyan’s chest. His nose immediately turned red because of the impact, causing some pain in his nose. He stepped back a little and looked up at Mo Shiyan before saying, "Thank you."

Mo Shiyan didn’t answer. After a moment, he finally asked with a hoarse voice. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

Why did his voice sound so...?

Jiang Zihan somehow had a weird feeling, though he did not think too much about it. He quickly shook his head, and before he had the chance to speak, he was already attracted by the crowd outside.

A crowd of students had already gathered in front of the dormitory building, forming a large circle.

"Can you move to the side a little?"

"Don’t block my view!"

"Stop arguing! They’re fighting again!"

Jiang Zihan and Mo Shiyan exchanged glances before moving quickly through the crowd. After they had finally squeezed themselves to the front, they immediately heard a sharp, angry female voice echoing through the area. "Stop right there!"

Hearing her words, the young man was stunned for a moment before continuing to run.

"I’m not an idiot! If I stop running, I’d already be a pile of ashes!" he yelled as he rolled across the floor to dodge her attack, sweat rolling down his forehead.

"If you don’t run, then I wouldn’t have had to chase you! So it’s all your fault!" the young girl with a high ponytail yelled back as she materialized a long spear in her hand and threw it toward the young man.

"Careful!" Jiang Zihan instinctively shouted.

The young man quickly jumped over to the side in order to dodge the long spear, although it still sliced through his school uniform and pinned the torn fabric on the floor. "Haven’t I already explained to you that I didn’t do it on purpose? Why can’t you believe me?" he asked.

"Didn’t do it on purpose?" The young girl lowered her eyes as she repeated those words, her body trembling. In the next moment, magical energy gathered in her palm and a terrifying aura surrounded her.

"If you are sure about that, stop running then!" she gritted her teeth as she unleashed a beam of light.

The beam of light exploded right beside the young man’s feet, shattering the ground. That sounded familiar—just like the explosion that all students had heard moments ago.

"I don’t care if you did it purposefully or not. If you don’t give me an explanation today, I’ll definitely blast you into ashes!" the young girl yelled out.

Hearing her words, the students who were originally watching the scene nearby instinctively stepped backward, fearing that they might end up with the same ending as the young man. They immediately looked toward him with pity in their eyes.

The young man stumbled in panic as he almost fell to the floor. He looked around, wanting to ask for help, and the moment he saw Jiang Zihan, his eyes immediately lit up because he recognized that Jiang Zihan was the person who reminded him to be careful. In the next second, he hurried over and hid behind Jiang Zihan, his eyes filled with terror when he looked toward the young girl who was chasing him.

"Help me!" he said as he tugged at the corner of Jiang Zihan’s school uniform.

Jiang Zihan: "..."

I’m just here to watch the drama. What does this have to do with me?

Before he had the chance to ask his question, the young girl had already charged toward him. She panted heavily, although her beautiful red eyes were still burning with rage.

"Chen Tianyu, get out here! You have the courage to do something like that, but didn’t dare to admit it?!!" the young girl shouted as she pointed toward him. She walked forward and wanted to drag Chen Tianyu out from behind him.

However, because Jiang Zihan was standing between them, the young girl didn’t have the chance to do so because she did not want to hurt Jiang Zihan.

Noticing this, Chen Tianyu clung tightly to Jiang Zihan’s shoulders, shamelessly relying on him to stop the girl’s movement. "I had already explained to you and have agreed to pay you back; what else do you want?" he said as he frantically shook his head, not willing to move.

"You—! Are you even a man?!" The girl was so furious that she felt like she was about to lose her mind.

Caught between the two of them, Jiang Zihan was unable to move at all. He felt a bit helpless and tentatively reached his hand. "How about... the both of you calm down a little?" he asked weakly.

"Stay out of this!" The two of them turned toward him at the same time and shouted together. Then they glanced at each other with a look of disgust before turning their heads away.

Jiang Zihan: "..."

Whatever... I give up.

Just at this time, Chen Tianyu felt a sudden chill. He lifted his head, looking at the bright sun, confused. He turned his head and met Mo Shiyan’s eyes.

Seeing that Mo Shiyan’s expression darkened, he followed his sight and landed on his own hand. Then he seemed to understand something and quickly removed his hand from Jiang Zihan’s shoulder.

The second he had done so, he immediately felt that the inexplicable chill crawling across him had vanished, causing him to let out a long breath. He looked toward Jiang Zihan with a complicated expression.

That sight had caused Jiang Zihan to feel a bit strange, which he subconsciously kept a far distance away from Chen Tianyu.

In the next moment, Mo Shiyan reached his hand out and pulled Jiang Zihan over to his side.
