Mo Shiyan walked slowly toward Jiang Zihan, and while walking, there seemed to be some abnormal movement in his left leg, showing that they were somehow injured.

Jiang Zihan noticed it and frowned a little. He instinctively softened his voice and asked, "Are you okay? What happened to your left leg?"

Hearing his words, Mo Shiyan was stunned for a moment and lifted his head, looking at him emotionlessly.

That sight was full of hatred, letting Jiang Zihan step back a little with fear.

Mo Shiyan let out a cold laugh and asked back, "What happened? Aren’t you even clearer than I am about what happened? Are you asking this to humiliate me?!!"

Jiang Zihan froze for a moment, and then the fragments of memory appeared in his mind. It was he... or rather the original owner of this body, who had injured that leg just before he took hold of this body. Because Mo Shiyan failed to recover in time, the injury stayed with him until the very end of the story, which caused his first playthrough to end in failure. In the second run, he had learned the lesson and saved Mo Shiyan before the leg was injured, and even got into a fight with the original Jiang Zihan, although he still failed to save him.

Jiang Zihan had once watched as Mo Shiyan pushed the original Jiang Zihan off a mountain with his own eyes, and he had even supported it back then. Now, the more excited he was for this character to be eliminated before he transmigrated here, the more he regretted it now.

It seemed like the plot had already progressed far beyond what he had realized. He tried to trace back and tried to memorize everything that Mo Shiyan had gone through before he took control of this body, but the more he recalled, the paler his face became.

Slaps... beatings... humiliation...

As he pieced together the fragments of the past, he finally closed his eyes and covered his face with both hands.

It was all over...

He’s definitely gonna die...

Seeing that Jiang Zihan showed no reaction to his words, Mo Shiyan frowned a little and repeated himself, "So, what do you want from me this time?"

His voice was cold enough to cut through bone, and Jiang Zihan had even felt the temperature around him drop immediately. It snapped him out of his imagination and brought him back to reality. Mo Shiyan had experienced so much over the years... Jiang Zihan believed that he had probably fallen completely into darkness.

No... he could not give up so easily. He’s not gonna just accept the fate of being pushed off a cliff and die without anyone noticing.

He could change this... he had to change his ending...

He tried to comfort himself before turning back to face Mo Shiyan again. Before he was able to speak, Mo Shiyan’s body suddenly swayed. Seconds later, he fell down, his body hitting the floor with a dull, heavy thud.

"Mo Shiyan... Mo Shiyan!!!"

Jiang Zihan’s body reacted faster than his mind. He rushed forward and pulled him tightly into his arms; his face filled with anxiety and fear as he called his name over and over again, but there was no response at all. Without another thought, he carried him onto his back and sprinted toward the school infirmary.

"Doctor— Doctor!!!"

The school doctor had just been organizing medical supplies when the door was suddenly thrown open, and a student rushed in panically.

"Student... this is...?" he asked subconsciously.

"Doctor, can you please take a look at him? He seemed to be severely injured!" the student shouted.

———

Mo Shiyan groggily opened his eyes and found himself lying on a bed, staring straight up at the ceiling. Sunlight fell silently over him, covering him with a soft, gentle glow. However, the moment he opened his eyes, it was as if all the light had immediately disappeared. His gaze was completely empty, filled with nothing but endless darkness.

After a while, he tried to sit up, but a sharp stab of pain from his wounds made his body sway, forcing him to fall back onto the bed. He lowered his head to look at himself and found that the bandages that were wrapped around his body were entirely new. His wounds had also been treated with medicine.

Then he looked around and found himself sitting in the school infirmary. He had been here multiple times and was very familiar with how it looked. Whenever he was injured, this was where he came, and the school doctor would treat his wounds.

The school doctor was one of the only two people in this world who would actually care about his life, always telling him to never give up on himself. There had been multiple times when he tried to stand up for him, to seek justice on his behalf, but Mo Shiyan would stop him every time he attempted to.

He did not want to cause the school doctor any more trouble; he had already helped him a lot.

As for the other person who cared about him...

As he was starting to get lost in his thoughts, he suddenly felt some sound coming from his left side. He turned his head and saw Jiang Zihan sitting on a chair beside the bed, his head resting on the side of the bed, asleep.

Mo Shiyan took this time to observe him. While Jiang Zihan was asleep, he looked gentle and well-behaved, but once he woke up, he was a total nightmare for Mo Shiyan.

But that doesn’t mean that Mo Shiyan was scared of him. If he really wanted to fight back, he was totally capable of defeating Jiang Zihan, but he never tried to do so before.

It was so boring to him... to play these meaningless games with people like them.

And then there was Gu Yan... always hiding behind the crowd and instigating the others to bully him. He felt exactly like a poison snake that was not willing to let go of him.
