Chapter 11: The ’Fake Heir’ of the Gu Family

Hearing his words, Jiang Zihan finally relaxed and lay back on the bed. Just as he planned to go back to sleep, he felt that there was something not right.

He sat back up and asked, "How did you know that I’ll be late today? And... why can’t I remember what happened yesterday?"

He rubbed his forehead, trying to recall what happened the day before, but his mind was completely blank. "I remember that I was treating your wound... and then... what happened after that?"

"It’s nothing much. It’s only that you suddenly went into heat and kept clinging to me, refusing to let go," Mo Shiyan explained, his voice calm.

"Oh... it was just that I went into heat. Wait, what?! I went into heat yesterday?!" Jiang Zihan shouted, his eyes widening immediately.

Mo Shiyan nodded to confirm.

Jiang Zihan felt that he lost his color immediately.

Why was the secret that the original "Jiang Zihan" hid for years exposed in less than a day after I transmigrated here?!!

I never knew that my acting skills were that bad!

And he said that I kept clinging to him last night?

Why don’t I remember that happening?!

"So... so you know everything already?" he asked tentatively.

"If you need me to, I’ll keep it a secret," Mo Shiyan said as he watched Jiang Zihan’s eyes light up.

Then he changed his tone. "But you’ll owe me a favor."

"No prob—" Jiang Zihan was just about to agree when he heard someone knocking on the door.

Who would it be at this time of the day?

Jiang Zihan walked over to open the door when he saw Gu Yan standing at the front, with a few other people standing behind him—exactly those students who had previously bullied Mo Shiyan.

Damn it! What is Gu Yan finding me for?!

He turned his head stiffly toward Mo Shiyan, observing his expression, but he did not see any change on his face.

Oh... he almost forgot that Shiyan barely has any expressions on his face.

But that’s not the main point. Would he be mistaken that I’m still standing on Gu Yan’s side?!

Just as silence began to spread, Gu Yan finally spoke.

"Come with me, Jiang Zihan. I have something to say to you," he commanded.

How dare he speak to me with such a commanding tone? Who does he think he is?

I really want to give him a punch.

Jiang Zihan, calm down. He brought a lot of people with him; you’re no match for them.

The little "Jiang Zihan" in Mo Shiyan’s mind lowered his head and looked at his thin arms and spindly legs, speechless.

Mo Shiyan couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle, which immediately caught Gu Yan’s attention. Gu Yan stared at him with hatred and disgust; Jiang Zihan instinctively stepped in front of him, blocking his sight from Mo Shiyan.

That action made Gu Yan’s anger rise even higher. He grabbed Jiang Zihan in the arm and pulled him out of the room and down the hallway.

Mo Shuyan wanted to follow along but was blocked by the other students. He could only watch Jiang Zihan being brought away from his side, his expression dark as he glared at Gu Yan’s back.

Jiang Zihan struggled along the way, but the disparity in strength between an Alpha and an Omega is really large, especially when they haven’t awakened their special abilities yet.

He used all his strength and finally got Gu Yan to let go of him.

"Gu Yan, do you know what you are doing? Are you a fool?" he shouted.

Hearing his description of him, Gu Yan’s expression turned even darker. He held onto Jiang Zihan’s chin and forced him to meet his gaze.

"Why did you help Mo Shiyan?" he demanded.

Ouch!

This idiot, does he even know how to respect others?!

The more Jiang Zihan thought about it, the angrier he got, especially when he knew how terrible Gu Yan had been treating Mo Shiyan. His disgust towards him increased quickly, and he decided to respect his own thoughts and bit hard onto the hand that was holding his chin.

Gu Yan felt the pain and immediately let go of him. Jiang Zihan panted heavily, feeling a sharp, stinging pain coming from his chin.

How much force had this idiot even used?

He quickly took a few steps back, pulling some distance away from Gu Yan. "I have no idea what you are saying."

"Don’t play dumb with me, and don’t think that I have no idea on what you did yesterday," Gu Yan said coldly.

Jiang Zihan did not respond. All he did was turn his head to the side and pretend that he did not exist. After waiting for a while, Gu Yan started to get annoyed by his attitude.

"I don’t know what game you are playing, but I hope that you don’t do anything stupid," he continued.

He was just here to confirm the reason why Jiang Zihan suddenly chose to stand on Mo Shiyan’s side. If it was because he had somehow known that Mo Shiyan was the ’real heir’ of the Gu family... a murderous intent flickered across Gu Yan’s eyes.

If that’s the case, then he can’t leave him alive.

His eyes scanned through Jiang Zihan again, then he turned around and left the building, leaving Jiang Zihan standing there in confusion.

"Such an idiot," Jiang Zihan muttered.

He took out his phone and carefully examined his face to make sure that nothing looked weird before he walked back to his dorm. As soon as he pushed the door open, he saw Mo Shiyan quietly sitting in a chair with his head lowered, making him unable to read his expression.

Jiang Zihan looked around and noticed that there were a few chairs knocked over, but aside from them, the room looked the same. He quickly walked forward and asked, "Shiyan, are you okay? Did those guys do anything to you?"
