Chapter 282 282: Supreme Guild's New Leader
"I've been off the country on vacation and I didn't take calls so I'm not aware of this development in the slightest." Lucius said as he looked directly at the camera with a serious expression, his posture was relaxed but still effortlessly commanding. "However if you asked me hypothetically what I would do if I got control of the Supreme Guild… the first thing would be…"
The cameras zoomed onto Lucius in preparation for his next words and he gave that charming smile that he always had, the one that made hearts skip beats across the nation.
"A better place for everyone." He said clearly with conviction, "I won't deny that the Supreme Guild is one of the top Guilds in Aurelia however just look at their previous Leader… He can barely control himself and even tried to force himself on my girlfriends live on stream after attempting to murder me as well in cold blood. If a GUILD is headed by someone like that… you can simply imagine what is happening behind closed doors to regular members."
All of the reporters nodded in agreement as well, some taking notes furiously.
The Dungeon incident was still being talked about online till this day no matter how hard the government tried to make it lose traction and momentum… and it drastically reduced Supreme Man's worth too, Lucius honestly still didn't understand how the government had decided to pay a hundred billion royals for the guy but it was more or less their loss and bad investment.
"So if I was the leader of the Guild, although I can't advertise what Supreme Man represented since he was a beacon for even those with no mana to show that even they could reach the top without it." Lucius said thoughtfully. "I can offer transparency, accountability, and excellence. The Supreme Guild will operate with open books… our dungeon raid success rates, casualty reports, and financial statements will be public. I'll implement mandatory ethics training for all members, establish a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or abuse of power, and create an independent oversight committee to investigate complaints. Most importantly, I'll lead by example… showing that true strength isn't about dominating others, but protecting those who can't protect themselves."
There were several enthusiastic claps that followed from the gathered reporters and the reporter was completely satisfied with his comprehensive answer… Another one pushed forward with a camera crew behind her.
"If you don't mind Sir Lucius… I have a question about the picture that you posted on social media that has gained a lot of traction along social media as a whole and gone viral." The reporter said and Lucius nodded, he liked how orderly this was going.
He would answer a few carefully selected questions… show off his charm and dip, after all, his social media presence showed him off as a pretty chill guy who vibed regardless of status and he loved his fans very much, unlike most Awakened who treated normal people like dirt beneath their shoes.
"I see… what about that picture?" He asked and then smirked confidently with that signature smile. "Like it?"
The female reporter nodded quickly, her enthusiasm clear on her face.
"Yes I loved it very much sir and it featured the relaxation and vacation vibes perfectly… however I have a question, specifically about the silver haired lady in the picture. It is being contemplated online that she's the Moon Goddess which is the most powerful awakened in New Avalon though there have been no credib—"
"Yes she is. It's her." Lucius said and there were audible gasps from the crowd of reporters. Of course they would gasp like that in shock… she was meant to not have interactions with men based on her public persona… there had been some theories that she was even gay too based on her isolation from male company.
"I don't mean to intrude on personal matters… but if I may ask, what is your relationship with her exactly?" The reporter asked and several cameras focused in on him with laser precision, waiting for his answer.
"Soulmates." Lucius replied without hesitation, hiding the urge to cringe internally… who said that on Live TV without sounding cheesy?
However that would be the best way to describe it to the public. "I am space and she is the moon… if you understand what I mean by that connection. She's my soulmate in every sense of the word."
"I see…" The reporter said with wide eyes full of wonder. "Then have you added her to your harem of beautiful women that you're known for?"
"Definitely." He said as he began walking backward toward the plane entrance, they were surrounded on all sides so he was going to teleport all the girls straight to the mansion then come back for the car later or send a maid, he couldn't really be bothered with it right now.
"Ah Sir Lucius wait!" Another Reporter called out desperately however Lucius waved it off dismissively, reaching the top of the staircase leading back into the plane… no matter how hard the reporters tried to climb up after him, space obstructed them from going up like an invisible wall.
"Right." Lucius said while looking at the camera with a warm smile that melted hearts. "I'd like to introduce you all to my daughter…"
With that Freya walked out in one of her beautiful dresses with a smile on her face, her green hair was tied into a ponytail and she looked incredibly cute as she waved at the cameras enthusiastically.
"She's Freya von Hohenberg." Lucius said proudly and without giving them the chance to ask follow-up questions, he teleported right there and every one of his women in the plane directly to the mansion, leaving Alexia and the pilot inside.
Alexia's face squeezed with annoyance as she dragged her hair in frustration.
"That fucker…" She muttered, he could have at least said thank you for everything she'd done. "I'll be meeting with my fiancée at the end of the week… let's hope for the best with that situation."
She looked at the pilot and the older man had a starstruck look on his face, completely dazed. He had been sitting in the same plane as his idol for hours… who knew what he was thinking about right now?
"Alright just fly off before those people start to get in and mob us." She said with a sigh, they needed to head back to the Capital immediately before this got worse.
The pilot nodded and started the engine.
…
"Whoa, so this is the mansion?" Selene asked with visible joy and amazement as she looked at the towering mansion with its pristine white walls, they were standing not too far away from the main gates and there were maids gathered in front to welcome them in perfect formation.
Delilah, the Head maid was right in front with her hands clasped and they all bowed at them in perfect unison.
"Welcome home Masters! I hoped you enjoyed your vacation abroad!"
Within the next few minutes, they were inside the spacious entrance hall and the girls were laughing around while exploring the different rooms while Lilliane looked neglected and alone.
Lucius sat on the plush couch and looked at the beastkin standing awkwardly.
"What's wrong, Lilliane?" He asked gently and she looked at him with sad puppy eyes.
"Master, if there are already so many maids here then what can I do for you? What's my purpose?"
"You're my personal maid remember?" Lucius asked reassuringly. "You don't have to worry about that at all, we also need to test your combat skills to prep you up for the next dungeon stream."
It would be his last stream until he found out how he could effectively juggle his personal life and academy life all the same without burning out…
"Okay Master." She said and lowered her head submissively. "May I trouble you with petting me…?"
Lucius looked at the twitching wolf kin with her ears flat and pulled her onto his lap, laying her over on the long couch over his lap with her ass facing up then he caressed her soft ears and fluffy tail with a grin on his face as Lilliane tried desperately to hold her moans under him.
'I just wanted Master to pat my head like a good girl…' She thought as he dragged her sensitive tail and she moaned under him once more involuntarily, the panties she was wearing underneath got wet pretty quickly from the stimulation. 'I don't hate it though… I would like for Master to keep touching me like this forever.'
However she was not his wife, merely his servant and servants didn't get a taste of this kind of affection unless they were in an illicit affair.
'Should I have an affair with Master then…?'
She had the breasts and all the physical things he liked too, if she seduced him properly… there was a chance that he would allow it.
However she shook her head at the thought. It would be a betrayal to his wive—
"What are you shaking your head for? I want to hear all of the sounds you can ma—" He paused as his pocket began vibrating and she eased up immediately, she was sure she was about to pee on him from the stimulation.
He let go of her reluctantly and she looked around with embarrassment, the other girls had gone upstairs to explore but the rest of the maids were looking at her with jealousy written all over their faces.
She scrambled up and ran upstairs as well, her face burning red.
Meanwhile, Lucius picked up his phone. It was Alexia calling.
"Yo Alexi." He said with a smile on his face, it had been a while since he heard from his beautiful personal secretary.
"Boss… I'm outside the gates to your Mansion. The council has instructed me to take you to the Guild." She said. "They're already gathered at the meeting table and waiting for you."
Lucius stood up from the couch and walked out the front door to the gate with purpose.
"Again, tell me why I'm the owner of the Guild now exactly?" Lucius asked with confusion. If it hadn't been for his quick thinking at the airport then he wouldn't have had anything to say in front of the cameras and reporters.
"The council decided that the news circulating about Supreme Man was very detrimental to the Supreme Guild's reputation… so they removed him as the head and reinstated you as the Leader so you'll need to meet up with the captains immediately." She said and the gate automatically opened for Lucius with a mechanical hum, the limousine was outside and Alexia was waiting for him leaning against it.
She cut the call upon seeing his face approaching.
"Alexi…" He said with a grin, closing the distance quickly and kissing her on the lips passionately while taking a generous handful of her ass.
She hadn't expected the sudden assault so she was left wide open and moaned into his mouth with surprise. "Did you miss me?"
He leaned back his head and she nodded as a pink blush made its way to her cheeks prettily.
"Yes… Boss. I missed you very much." She said breathlessly and he patted the open door invitingly. "Let's head to the Supreme Guild Headquarters."
"Sure…" He said as he got in smoothly. "I'll take full responsibility for this entire situation."
The drive to the headquarters took about thirty minutes through the capital's busy streets.
Alexia briefed him on what had happened during his absence… the council meetings, the public outcry, the internal restructuring. Lucius listened while watching the city pass by through tinted windows.
When they arrived, the Supreme Guild Headquarters loomed before them… a massive skyscraper of glass and steel that dominated the skyline.
"Here we are, Boss," Alexia said as the limousine pulled up to the private entrance.
Lucius stepped out and looked up at the building. His building now, apparently. The guards at the entrance saluted as he passed.
"Let's get you into the new uniform."
…
Ayela sat in the meeting room with three other people… they were the Captains and they had been dispatched to the other gates at that time with members of their own Squad during the dungeon raid.
These captains consisted of three women and one man, however he had died during the raid so she was instructed to take his place temporarily and she hadn't left yet because she was okay as long as Supreme Man was not the Guild Leader.
Supreme Man liked to surround himself with women for obvious reasons… which was why the leadership positions were mostly women, and the only reason there had been a man amongst the Captains was that there was no stronger wind type user than him in the entire guild roster at the time.
"When is the new boss going to get here…?" One of them asked impatiently, tapping her fingers on the glass table.
They were all wearing the new black and white uniform that Lucius had designed back in the A-rank dungeon, the government had decided to mass produce it for the Guild's new look and even the building got a fresh painting change with new logos emblazoned everywhere.
It was more or less a surprise that the name remained the same instead of being changed completely to distance from Supreme Man's legacy.
Just then, the door to the meeting room opened with a soft click and Ayela saw him walking in confidently with purpose and authority… her breath caught in her throat unexpectedly.
Sure she had given him a lot of money back in the raid and refused to acknowledge his good looks at the time because she was focused on survival and getting herself through the raid safely, however right now, he looked pretty amazing in that well-fitted uniform that hugged his frame.
The black and white complimented his features perfectly, making him look every bit the leader. He sat at the head of the chair confidently, his own uniform was different from theirs and more elaborate… half of it seemed to have its own vest that trailed down elegantly behind him like a short cape.
The uniform marked him as the leader clearly, distinct from the captains in both design and presence and authority.
"Good afternoon everyone." He said as he tapped a hand on the glass table authoritatively, the sound echoing in the quiet room. "Starting from right now… I will be the official leader of this Guild, Lucius von Hohenber—"
"I object!" One of the girls stood up abruptly, slamming her hands on the table hard. She had long brown hair and blue eyes as well… not only that but she looked like Supreme Man a bit and they gave off the same space so Lucius could well easily believe that this was his sister.
Family resemblance was unmistakable. "You're not even an S-rank but you want to head a Guild! How in the he—"
The rest around the table gave her a sharp glare of disapproval and annoyance and Lucius chuckled at the display of loyalty.
"Again, I might not be an S-rank officially on paper but you can't compare my actual power to yours in practice or combat." Lucius said as he leaned back casually on the chair. "Which is why I could easily kill Supreme Man but I didn't… because I wanted him to suffer for what he did to me and my women. You're his sister, aren't you?"
The woman stiffened in place visibly… it was hard to imagine that the good for nothing giant had a sister like this who seemed competent and put-together, besides right now, he was feeling the urge to make someone very helpless and broken.
"You haven't seen your brother since the incident right?" He asked, making her stiffen once more with recognition and pain.
He had heard that Supreme Man hadn't left the council main building since the humiliation meaning he was practically a prisoner now.
"Since you say I'm too weak, let's have a spar to prove it. If you win, I'll let your brother go free… and not only that but I'll actually hand over the entire Guild to you permanently. I won't even use my space manipulation abilities."
Her eyes flew open as she looked at Lucius with surprise and disbelief… did he really mean that? Even the others were surprised at the bold offer.
The room went completely silent and every captain held their breath, watching the confrontation unfold.
"However, if I win this spar, you become my slave for life." He shifted the rolling chair back a bit with a smirk on his face, making Ayela wince at the harsh terms. "The choice is yours to make. Take the bet or shut up and fall in line like a good little captain."
The sister's hands trembled visibly on the polished glass table. She looked at the other captains seated around the table, then back at Lucius with growing dread.
He was meant to be a god in this new world… people didn't object to god, so he would simply put her where she rightfully belonged beneath him completely.
