Reborn As The Minor Villain In A Romance Fantasy Novel

Chapter 281 281: Back In Aurelia

"Huh? What's the problem…?" Lucius turned to Luna who had been the one to yell out loudly, her voice echoing through the living room.

"If you sign those papers, that would make Selene your first wife. That's completely unacceptable." She said while placing a hand on her chest protectively with a serious expression. "That doesn't make it fair at all to those of us who've known you longer, out of all of us, you met Selene just days ago and the both of you are getting married already? That's very unfair to the rest of us who've been by your side."

"I'm the one who has been with him since he was a literal child, if anyone should marry him first… It's me without question. The rest of you can come after in line behind me." Elena said while folding her arms across her chest and releasing her aura that made the air feel heavy and oppressive.

Surprisingly Judea spread out her massive dragon wings dramatically and scowled at the rest of them with a fierce expression, her eyes were gloiwng too.

"He already performed the Ritual with me so he's my mate according to dragon customs… I won't allow any of you take him away from me." She said and Vanessa raised up her hand calmly, blowing the light bulb up above with a precise burst of blood magic that shattered the glass.

"Enough of this childish arguing." She said, looking at everyone with a glare that could cut steel. "It's clear that I should be the one to marry Lucius first as the most mature option…"

However, they quieted down immediately as a wave of holy mana washed over everyone in the room like a tidal wave… except this wasn't the spell that Rita used to make people's hearts calm, no this was simply her overpowering aura crushing down on them with sheer power.

"Lucius. Is. Mine." Rita's voice was quiet but carried absolute authority.

Elara stayed quiet as her legs trembled beneath her from the pressure, as much as she wanted to shout out her own claim and declare her feelings… she really didn't have the confidence to talk out in front of the others who were all so powerful and assertive.

Freya on the other hand glanced at her Papa with wide eyes full of disbelief.

'What a womanizer…' She thought before focusing on her puzzle game again, how many men could get women to fight like this over them so seriously? This was insane.

"Alright sister-wives~ Stop fighting over the order… I'm not that stingy about these things." Selene breathed a sigh of relief as she fumbled for her pocket urgently. "In fact I'm very glad that you love him just like I do with all my heart… I have the perfect solution to this situation."

She pulled out several marriage contracts that had been folded neatly and placed them on the table with a flourish and a smile.

"I had my personal lawyer issue multiple contracts and we can get them verified and into the national registry today… we don't need to have some sort of big marriage ceremony that the whole Earth would know about with paparazzi everywhere. You can get married to Lucius right here in this room." She said as she patted the papers with a satisfied smile. "That way… we won't fight anymore over petty things. If you're serious about wanting to marry Lucius, come and sign. I'm sure you don't have a problem with that arrangement, Darling."

Selene gave him a meaningful look and he sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair.

They were his women and marriage was infinitely better than just dating without commitment… though this was pretty quick considering he had spent less than two months in this world total.

"No I don't have any issue with multiple marriages. Though the first wife title is very important culturally… right?" He asked and she nodded enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling.

"Of course, the title as first wife goes to the first woman that loved the husband most deeply." Selene replied. "And the first wife naturally loves their man a lot, they are the foundation of the household, the one who sets the tone for how the other wives interact, the mediator of disputes, the keeper of harmony, the one who—"

"I think I understand it now." Lucius said while scratching under his chin and the girls had similar expressions of being overwhelmed by the explanation… Selene placed a hand on her mouth.

'I think I let my excitement get the better of me and talked too much again.' She thought, but she wondered who the first wife would be among them all.

"Elara." Lucius said and Elara stiffened immediately as all the other girls looked at her with various expressions. "Do you want to get married to me?"

Her face reddened instantly, it was as red as a tomato and her ears were giving off steam quite literally though it was probably because of her plasma affinity heating up from the extreme embarrassment.

"W-w-w-what do you m-m-mean Master?" She managed to stutter out as her ears reddened as well, matching her face. "I-I-I d-don't understand w-w-what you're asking m-m-me r-right now..."

"When I was in my coma for all those months, you stayed by my side everyday without fail." He said gently. "And even when I woke up confused… you helped me out a great deal before I awakened my powers and even after, I'm grateful for having you in my life honestly… I know we don't spend as much time together as before but I'll make it up to you somehow."

It was worth it to see her face light up like that, she gave him a warm smile as well as she walked over to Lucius shakily and buried her face into his chest, breathing in his scent. Selene gave a jealous expression at the intimacy.

"I would have done everything and more if I was the one that met you first… but that's okay." She said as she handed Elara a pen with a slight pout. "Well Sister-wife Elara, or rather Head wife Elara… please sign the first contract. We'll move progressively like that for the rest."

Elara looked at the pen in her trembling hands, it was her dream and it was finally coming true after all this time… there were no words to describe these overwhelming feelings as she leaned over carefully and signed her part on the paper with shaky handwriting,

She was actually becoming his legal first wife.

It felt like a dream somewhat as she finished signing her name and bowed deeply to Selene with gratitude.

"Thank you Lady Selene for doing this for us." She said as she handed back the pen carefully and scurried out into the hallway, shutting her room door behind her as she left the rest of them there to process.

Selene let out a sigh.

"She needs to be more confident to be a Head-wife." She nodded but then looked at the rest of the girls with determination. "So who is his second wife…? Third wife…? All of you keep coming forward…"

There was a moment of silence as the girls looked at each other, then Luna stepped forward first.

"I'll be second," she said quietly, taking the pen.

As she signed, Rita moved forward. "Third."

That was Vanessa.

One by one, the girls came forward to sign the contracts… not all of the women did like Villy and Lilliane, they were merely servants to their master.

When everyone had finished, Selene looked down at the contracts spread across the table with satisfaction.

"Well then, sister-wives," she said warmly. "We're officially a family now. Let's make this work."

Lucius looked at all the signed contracts and realized what he'd just done.

He'd gotten married… multiple times… in one evening.

'My life has gotten very complicated,' he thought, though he couldn't say he regretted it.

Later that night, Lucius found himself sitting in a club of all places. He wasn't even lying to himself…

He was in a luxurious club that had been cleared out and rented entirely by Selene for her and the rest of the girls to party properly.

Not only were his wives here dancing but it seemed all the members of Selene's Guild also showed up as well and joined in the celebration enthusiastically.

The bass was thumping through the floor making the glasses on the table vibrate, the lights were flashing in different colors… purple, blue, red, green and the energy was absolutely electric.

One guild member even positioned herself behind the DJ's box and was cheering as she played the music expertly, her hands moving across the controls with ease.

All of the girls threw their hair around wildly to the beat and even Elena was with them, having the time of her life dancing without a care in the world.

Rita had let loose completely, which was rare to see from the usually composed Saintess and even Judea's wings were swaying to the music.

'It must be really fun, huh?' He thought as he poured himself a drink while glancing at Freya sitting next to him on the plush couch. "I don't really think kids like you should be at the club at this hour."

They had wanted to leave her back at the hotel with the maids however she whined which was pretty normal for her age, but then again… this was a girl that he had punched to the ground and made a crater with earlier, She was mature enough mentally not to whine so he thought she had done it on purpose to stay with him.

'The girls might not be onto you but I am…' He thought while Freya gave a very innocent smile that didn't reach her calculating eyes.

"I'm just watching my new mamas dancing." She said pointing at the girls that were bouncing around in a synchronized dance. "They seem very excited about getting married to you… You should join them, Papa."

Lucius dropped the bottle gently and placed it on the table as he raised the cup to his lips and drank the amber contents.

"Then who will watch over you responsibly?" He asked as he drank everything down in one smooth go. "Besides, they need to enjoy themselves without me hovering over them… the vacation is almost over after a—"

"Don't be a party pooper, sweetheart." Selene grabbed him by the hand firmly and pulled him off his chair with surprising strength while dragging him toward the dancing crowd. "Girls, I've brought him! Let's dance some more!"

"Freya… don't let me catch you drinking any wine or alcohol." He said as he was dragged amongst the girls and Freya was left alone on the table, she took out his phone and began playing the puzzle game… she was already in Level 250 somehow.

'Since Papa said I can't, I won't.' She thought obediently.

The music shifted to something intimate making him glance at the DJ who gave him a thumbs-up, and suddenly Lucius found himself surrounded by his wives, all of them wanting to dance with him.

He ended up switching partners every few minutes, spinning from one to another.

They ended the night with a wonderful celebration… majority of them had gotten married to Lucius after all and wanted to commemorate it properly with music and dancing.

[Days Later]

The flight back to Aurelia had been interesting to say the least. Freya had spent most of it glued to Lucius's phone, her puzzle game addiction apparently getting worse.

The newly married wives had spent their time alternating between chatting excitedly about their new status and shooting jealous glances at whoever was sitting closest to Lucius at any given moment.

Now, as they prepared to land, Lucius could see Aurelia's capital city sprawling below them through the window.

It was home or at least, the closest thing he had to it in this world.

"Everyone buckle up," the pilot's voice came over the intercom. "We're beginning our descent."

Lucius cleared his throat as the plane did a smooth touch-down on the runway, the wheels squealing slightly against the tarmac… they were currently on the Private Jet that they had used to get to Avalon except he didn't remember the name, it had been used on the way back as well except this time, there were new people amongst them.

There was Selene and Lilliane sitting across from him in the comfortable leather seats,

Lilliane was very excited to see where her Master usually stayed and lived, practically bouncing in her seat, and Selene was moving in permanently as his legal wife.

Avalon had done pretty much nothing upon Selene telling them that she was married right now and would be staying in Aurelia indefinitely with her husband.

Even though the government of Aurelia had complained a lot about the sudden immigration of an S-rank, the worst they could do realistically was banning their VISAs and preventing them from entering the country again which Selene had put a stop to as well with her political connections and influence… meaning that they were currently helpless while Selene's whole Guild continued operations on a national scale.

The main base would be in Aurelia instead of in Avalon permanently from now on regardless…

The plane rolled to a complete stop on the ground and there were already reporters and paparazzi whatnot on this supposedly private air-space…

He adjusted the collars of his expensive tailored suit and stretched his arms above his head.

'I look good…' He thought confidently as the hatch door opened with a hiss of pressurized air and the stairs came down too, Lucius slowly walked down the stairs with ease and the crowd began to push back a bit respectfully as they saw him then the first reporter cleared her throat nervously.

"Sir Lucius… you look even more dashing than before, it seems the vacation helped your skin glow a lot." She commented and Lucius gave her a charming smile which made her heart thump loudly in her chest.

"Thank you for your compliments, Interviewer…" He looked at her nametag clipped to her professional blazer. "Anna, is there anything you'd like to ask of me?"

He was feeling in a good mood after the vacation so he'd answer questions before it got too complicated with the growing crowd.

"Y-yes sir. Sir Lucius, this has been a very concerning situation for the whole of Aurelia… I'm sure you've been briefed with it by your people." She said nervously, her microphone shaking slightly. "What are you planning to do with the Supreme Guild since you are the new Leader?"

"New Leader?" He raised an eyebrow, he was pretty confused about this unexpected claim… if something like this was that important then the President would have called him personally or sent an official message or something.

He remembered that the old bastard had actually called him days ago… when they were at the beach but that was for the world meeting.

"Yes sir." She said as she raised the microphone closer to his lips eagerly. "Just three days ago, you were officially debuted as the new Leader of the Supreme Guild by the Council. Tell us Sir Lucius… what are your intentions with the Supreme Guild and what do you plan to do now that it is in your hands? The people of Aurelia are waiting."
