Chapter 690: Vampire realization
Chapter 690: Vampire realization
Mini Drone Link?!
[Yes. With this Drone upgrade, you can assign a Mini Drone towards an ally of yours that has awakened a Diva. Once they are assigned, their energies will be intrinsically linked to the Mini Drone itself.]
What does that mean?
[It means that whenever one of your allies has experienced a breakthrough, the excess energy that would otherwise be shed off will now be transferred over to the Mini Drone.]
Michael’s eyes widened. In other words, I can siphon off their extra Aubility Powers?
[That’s right.]
This was a major upgrade! If he could siphon off energy, then he could charge his batteries and possibly have enough power for him to execute at least one ’Quantum Step’!
The only reason that he couldn’t catch the Purist Vampire was because he didn’t have enough speed to catch up to him, especially since Vampires had naturally good stealth, speed, and agility.
I’ll purchase this upgrade!
Thankfully, this new drone option only cost 1 drop of Soo. Thankfully, he was still able to save at least one from his previous splurging.
It wasn’t long before the Mini Drone above his head got swarmed by its own nanoparticles.
Suddenly, its shape and color started to change, becoming a lot darker and having a shade of violet in its frame. Not only that, but its previous form of edge was now tapered off to become something a little more rounded.
It’s conforming to Fudge’s form!
Not even a minute after, his Mini Drone had now completely transformed to become unrecognizable to its previous state. It was no longer a miniature version of the Main Drone. It was now a customized version, with a decal and decoration that captured Fudge’s essence.
[Fudge has now been connected to the Mini Drone. He is still in the middle of a high from his breakthrough to acquiring a Diva. Would you like to siphon off his extra Aubility Power?]
He immediately said yes and soon after, he saw the battery attached on the Mini Drone to start glowing with Aubility Power.
[2%… 4%…. 6%…]
It wasn’t long before it reached 15% charge!
This was surprising because he didn’t even expect it to reach 10% due to Fudge’s low cultivation level. He never really realized how powerful breakthroughs could become.
Unfortunately though, the charge ended at 15%. It seemed that Fudge’s breakthrough reached an end, giving no more excess energy for him to siphon.
This wasn’t enough for the ’Quantum Step’ as he needed at least 30% charge to execute it. But that could be easily remedied by the fact that he could use his other sources of energy to fund it.
He turned his head back towards Guillermo, who had een trying to keep up with them flying across the roofs.
“Hit me!” he shouted.
“What?!” Guillermo shouted back, confused.
“Use your blood power on me!”
With his own energy reserves in his GodForge pieces, he could conjure up 10% energy, bringing up the total to 25%. He just needed 5% more to be able to use the ’Quantum Step’.
Guillermo couldn’t decide if Michael was crazy or not. But in the end, in such a high stakes situation, he decided to trust in the human boy and do as he said.
He swung both of his hands, leaving drops of blood in front of him. Then, the blood flowed to create a circle made out of intricate hieroglyphic designs.
And using all of his power, Guillermo punched the blood circle, conjuring a giant stake made out of blood that shot towards Michael at extremely fast speeds.
Michael readied himself, using a mini drone to fly dangerously close above the blood stake. With extreme precision, Michael was able to intercept the Aubility Power threads that were coming from Guillermo’s Dao Heart and into the blood stake, siphoning off his energy.
The batteries’ energy charge increased bit by bit, before finally reaching the last 5%!
Once that was done, the mini drone dropped off the batteries towards Michael, who immediately attached it to his chest.
Immediately, his arms started to bend the very fabric of space. The battery on his chest spooled out a thread of Aubility Power, giving his hands enough juice for it to increase its destruction of reality.
Michael drew from his own GodForge pieces, finally having enough energy for him to execute his move.
With his superpowered hands, he grabbed the space in front of him and yanked himself forward.
And in an instant, his body disappeared from sight.
The Purist Vampire who kept looking back at Michael didn’t celebrate his disappearance. He had a sinking feeling in his chest that something bad was about to happen.
Finally, Michael reappeared in front of him, startling his Dao Heart into a seizure.
The Purist Vampire’s eyes widened, unable to process what happened as Michael grabbed his long collars and smashed him down onto the stone-tiled roof, pinning him down.
“Kugh!”
Guillermo finally caught up to them, landing on the roof right next to the two. He looked at Michael, unable to comprehend what just happened. The human boy just disappeared and reappeared right in front of the Purist Vampire.
And now, he was choking him, never letting him go.
“H…. how…”
Michael looked back down at him. “Because I’m human,” he replied.
The Purist Vampire, now unable to escape, could only curse his luck. He looked up at the skies, his expression one of longing and regret.
“Oh Great Gaia… please… please save me…”
At his last moments, the Purist Vampire sought salvation from the god that he worshipped.
Guillermo walked up to him.
“The Gaia you worship is not the Gaia we seek. She is different, she does not sacrifice humans or anyone else for her own gains.”
The Purist Vampire looked at him, face full of disgust. “What… do you… know…”
Guillermo smiled. “I have found her. She is none other than the Iron Maiden that you Purists make fun of.”
“Kukukukuku… that’s laughable….,” the Purist Vampire chuckled. Just the notion of this was enough to make him laugh.
But Guillermo didn’t get offended. Instead, he closed his eyes and looked up at the starry skies of Metropolis.
“Iron Maiden… I have come here to ask of you to teach this lost soul about your teachings…”
Guillermo’s words were sincere. He was truly asking for Gaia to forgive the sins of his fellow Vampires.
“What are you… talking about…,” the Purist Vampire laughed.
But just then, Guillermo’s body started to shine. His very skin started to glow glittery, as if a light was shining down on him.
The Purist Vampire’s eyes widened. He knew what this meant. “No… no… no… that’s not… that’s not possible!”
And as Guillermo kept praying up at the skies, a large beam suddenly shined down from the clouds, hitting the very roof that they were standing on.
They all looked up, and saw a vague figure of a woman with her hands spread wide.
“….Gaia….,” the Purist Vampire realized.
This was undeniable proof. The deity that they were so desperate to please, was none other than the Iron Maiden that has been worshipped by the humans. This shattered his very belief system.
Then, the Purist Vampire turned into dust—heartbroken.
