Chapter 603: I need that
Chapter 603: I need that
A bold idea surfaced in his mind.
What if he took the Knight’s 7th stage Aubility Power and used it for himself?
If his own power couldn’t make the ’Quantum Step’ work, then what if he boosted his own with the power he got from someone three stages higher than him?
He didn’t even know how that would work, but the idea sprouted in his mind and couldn’t be stopped.
He moved without thinking, acting purely on instinct.
And with his Drone’s perspective, his GodForge pieces glowed hotter and hotter as it began to exhibit a kind of strength that he couldn’t exhibit before. It was as if the idea brought upon an adrenaline rush in his body, allowing him to push past the current limit of his body.
He piloted the Drone to move towards the ground, picking up the iron switch and the reverse graphite block on the ground.
The two technological Aubility blocks snapped together, and immediately, two threads of Aubility Power sprung up from his chest and towards the two items.
His AP converged, creating a bubble that morphed together into one single cohesive unit.
The individual strings in the stream of AP clashed together. The curvy form of the switch Aubility and the jagged zigzag lines of the reverse graphite blocks smashed together, deforming each other until a completely new shape had taken form.
The Drone picked up this new block with its magnetic frame, sticking it on its underside.
He moved closer towards his own body and used the momentum of the Drone’s flight to fling the conjoined block towards his own chest!
It clicked in place in his chest, just a few inches away from the Knight’s axe.
“It’s not going to save you!” the Knight declared, using both of his hands to push his Mithril Relic weapon deeper through the prismatic shield.
Its fire burned even hotter and eventually, his weapon’s edge finally touched the conjoined technological block.
With the Knight’s 7th stage cultivation, the power from his flames would easily burn through Michael’s 4th stage technological blocks.
But as he pushed his axe closer towards the conjoined blocks, he felt the power of his flames starting to die out.
The more accurate description would be that the effort the Knight had to put to push his axe to cleave through the technological blocks became heavier and heavier the more he pushed through it.
Sweat started to pour from his forehead, making him frown.
His pride wouldn’t allow this. The giant black fire-breathing lizard above him roared its mouth, producing more and more fire from its body in an attempt to power through the effort. It was going to slice through the technological blocks one way or another.
From the Drone’s Aubility Vision, the Knight’s GodForge pieces produced a tremendous amount of AP towards his weapon. There was a constant stream of power pushing through and fueling the fire that was trying to consume everything it touched.
However, as soon as the flames touched the conjoined technological block attached to Michael’s chest, the flames stopped for a very brief moment.
But it was at that moment the flames were starting to get broken down into its individual strings that made up the Aubility Power!
Then, the individual strings started to unbend their curves. It started to untie its own knots.
Slowly but surely, the strings were reverting back into a straight line, as if it came straight from the GodForge pieces in the Knights heart, completely unprocessed and unchanged.
This was pure Aubility Power.
And once it became pure AP, the strings imbued themselves into the very structure of the conjoined technological blocks itself.
As soon as Harbinger saw this, his obscured face under a dark fog lit up with a prominent smile.
[KUKUKUKU! You have done it Michael! Just like I told you we could!]
Harbinger knew what Michael was doing. He was stealing the Knight’s Aubility Power and storing it for himself!
The Knight, unaware that this was happening, started to get more and more exhausted as the seconds passed by. He was heaving, as if he had just run a marathon.
However, his pride as a Knight suddenly reared up, allowing him to summon renewed strength back in his heart. His GodForge pieces glowed ever so brighter.
“BY THE WAY OF THE AXE…. I…. WILL…. NOT…. LOSE!”
With the last burst of energy, the Knight reared his axe back to the top of his head and brought it down towards Michael.
The flames were supplied with a tremendous amount of AP, allowing it to explode into a burst of pure power as soon as it reached Michael’s prismatic shield.
A shockwave erupted out from the point of impact, with the force enough to throw Michael flying through the air and crashing towards the nearest tree.
The tree cracked into splinters as Michael’s back hit its trunk. Blood spilled from his mouth.
With his prismatic shield broken, he felt the full brunt of the force.
The Knight barely held onto his axe as he tried to catch his breath. He looked at Michael, who seemed to be unconscious and down for the count.
“You could have made it easier on both of us if you had just surrendered,” the Knight muttered under his breath, but the silence of the forest made it heard loud and clear.
The green flag representing the Reborn company was lying on the forest floor, with dust and soil lying on top of it.
The Knight picked it up from the ground and inspected his treasure.
“Hopefully this is enough to prove my worth,” the Knight muttered.
He turned around, about to walk away and return to their base, when all of a sudden, he heard the sound of trees cracking and splintering.
He looked back and saw Michael wiping the blood off his mouth and slowly standing up.
“You still haven’t given up?” the Knight asked, confused and a little bit irritated. “You should know when to stand down.”
He didn’t want to hurt Michael any more than he should, but if he was going to keep fighting like this, then he’d have to resort to using warranted violence.
Michael reached down to the ground and picked up the [Unity Saber] from the pile of fallen leaves.
As he clicked the on switch, the Unity beam appeared, becoming as long as a normal sword.
The Knight sighed and rolled the axe in his hands. There was a confident and irritated look on his face, as if he knew that whatever Michael tried to do would only end up being pointless.
His training as a Knight and his 7th stage cultivation made Michael’s move seem as slow as a snail.
Michael held the switch of his saber with both hands, pointing the blade towards the Knight.
His GodForge pieces lit up, with a thread of Aubility Power slowly spooling towards his wrists.
With his hands powered by AP, the space around his wrists started to morph and fold into itself.
But this power wasn’t enough. He needed more.
Suddenly, the conjoined block still attached to his chest released its own thread, shooting towards his wrist.
This pure Aubility Power spiraled through the original thread, reinforcing it to form a much thicker strand!
