Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1114 Wanting justice

Chapter 1114  Wanting justice

“My apologies,” said the Knight. “But the matters of justice cannot be fettered by something as insignificant as a piece of glass.”

Truly, from his perspective, the tiny crack in the glass didn’t matter at all. It could barely even be seen! And it looked like the kiosk was working just as it was before, whatever it was.

“It’s not about the glass, sir Knight. It’s about the principle. We at the Reborn company value our prisoners just as much as our valuables.”

After hearing this, the Knight couldn’t help but pause for a second and think. “Wait, you… value this hooligan?”

The Lamia nodded. “Yes. They might be lost right now, but they can be redeemed, just like any other person in the world. And the only way for them to be reformed is to be put in our Nation to experience the wonders of life.”

When she said those words, she looked completely serious. It was as if she truly believed those words!

“Hooligans becoming redeemed?” the Knight asked. He tried not to scoff, but his words were still tainted by that thought.

It just seemed utterly ridiculous to him that a hooligan would repent their sins.

“If this hooligan does not experience the world of hurt and punishment that he deserves, then he will never learn. Trust me. I have seen many offenders who are given second chances and only go and return to do something much worse.”

The Lamia shook her head. “I sincerely disagree.”

“Even so. They will become our prisoner,” said the Knight decisively. “Justice prevails.”

Then, with a single look, he ordered the other knights to tie up the hooligans and escort them out of the premises.

The Rebornian attendant, despite the pained and pitied gaze she had for the hooligans, could do nothing but watch. Her only job here was to relay the rules of the Reborn company. Enforcing it was not her jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, back in the Reborn Headquarters, Michael watched the whole thing unfold from the perspective of his Mini Drones watching from a distance.

“That was a 7th stage swordsman Maugnetic,” he realized.

Michael hadn’t seen that youth before. And from a single glance, he could tell that the youth was quite skilled in the arts of the sword. That simple move against the hooligans was quite impressive. He was only able to see it thanks to him being in the Nascent Spirit realm. If they were in the same stage, Michael would even have trouble seeing it. Of course, that was in the case of a straight-up swordsman duel. Michael was no swordsman, after all.

“Narito, Sasuki.”

Not even a second later, the two Orc Chieftains appeared in front of him, kneeling.

“First of all, boss Michael. We are here to assure you that we will take care of those hooligans—”

Michael raised his hand. He trusted them to do what they needed to do without him asking. “I want to know more about the Knights.”

The two Orc Chieftains then relayed him the information they gathered.

As it turned out, the Order of the Heavenly Knights had gathered in New Sparta for one specific reason: a friendly exhibition match that was arranged by the Heavenly Knight of Sword herself.

“Wait… isn’t she the blind woman I saw back in the Werewolf forest?”

“BU TO TO! That is correct, boss Michael. The reason why there are a lot of Knights appearing in New Sparta all of a sudden is because of her.”

The kiosk incident wasn’t the only case of Knights suddenly appearing out of nowhere to be the literal ‘knight in shining armor’. They sprouted all over New Sparta, saving people left and right with their amazing sword skills.

It ranged from simple things like cutting overgrown shrubbery, to defeating literal warlords from the neighboring territories.

“There are a lot of competition against swordsmen Knight right now, boss. They’re all vying to become the Heavenly Knight’s personal student.”

Now it made sense. They were all metaphorically spreading their peacock wings in order to get the attention of the blind woman. Ironic, yes.

Even if Michael was clueless about the world, he at least knew that the Heavenly Knight of Sword was quite unique.

She was the only one amongst her peers of masters who didn’t have her own gaggle of students.

Despite all the talented youths that had presented themselves to her, she seemed blind to any of their supposed potential. (yes, ironic again).

Even the eccentric Rivet had a few students who she was currently training to be her replacement in the far future.

In the end, everyone simply accepted the fact that the swordmistress Eldea would never choose her own successor.

That was until a few weeks ago when she announced a friendly exhibition match amongst all swordsmen in the Order.

She had never done this before. She had never willingly arranged an event of her own volition, especially one that was a competition against youths.

But this time, she did. She invited all the talented youngsters from all over the globe to showcase their talents in a friendly match in New Sparta.

Of course, even if she explicitly stated that this was an exhibition match, many people knew that it was much more important than that.

This meant that she was finally ready to choose her student!

Why else would she arrange such a competition?

That was why a lot of these Knights were very eager to showcase their talents. They felt deserving to be Eldea’s only student. They studied and trained for it for their entire lives!

They were the ones who were most disappointed when they found out that the Heavenly Knight wasn’t accepting any students.

So this time, they would do everything they could to earn her vote.

“I see… that is interesting.”

Just then, Castelle finally opened her eyes and sighed.

“It’s not good for our progress,” she said. “Young Master, I could feel the general public perception about the McTony’s restaurant. And I could feel their attention being seeped away by this swordsman tournament. If this continues, we will have to be satisfied with earning 12 million tokens a day for the rest of the Feast,” she said disappointingly.
