Chapter 781: Followed
Chapter 781: Followed
Sunlight pierced through the window of Kana’s room. Her eyes fluttered slightly as they began to part. The familiar scent of the man she loves filled her nose. She was about to snuggle back into her handsome husband’s embrace when the memories of what happened before she passed out appeared in her mind. She shot up into a sitting position and looked around. “What? Where am I? Where is he?”
“You are in your room, and who is this, he? Kana, are you cheating on me?” Creige asked in a teasing voice.
“Creige, now is not the time to joke around. That young man, I swear I know him, but at the same time, I don’t….” Kana was on the verge of tears causing Creige to sigh. He pulled her into a hug and ran his hands through her hair. “I do not know, so I can not tell you who he was.” Creige felt bad. He wanted to let Kana know that the young man was, in fact, her first son, but he couldn’t because she did not remember yet. Without her remembering, he could not tell her. She had to remember these things on her own.
“Creige, I feel like I have lost a part of me. I do not know why. My heart, there is a hole in it.” Kana muttered as she pushed her face into his chest. She felt lonely, as if the young man was someone important to her. It was not the kind of feeling she had for Creige. It was not the kind of love a woman would have for a man. It was more of a familiar type of feeling. Someone close to her, like family.
Kana did not know why she would feel this way about a stranger or why this person would suddenly appear in front of her, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that was surfacing in her heart.
Seeing Kana’s brow furrow, Creige felt truly bad for hiding what he knew, but he knew that this was for the best. He did not wish for her to undergo too much heartache at this time. She needed to grow stronger both mentally and physically, and he would be by her side through it all. Even if she hates him for not coming clean.
“I need to go on a journey…. ” Kana suddenly said. She was saying this because she needed to free her mind.
“Then go. We will be here waiting for you.” Creige knew he was not strong enough to go out into the world just yet. He may have the strength of a core formation cultivator, but if they were to use their spiritual power on him, he knew he would not last long. He did not wish to slow Kana down.
“But your cultivation method….” Kana knew Creige had to use a special release at the end of his cultivation to expel the extra yang energy in his body.
“It’s fine, there is a solo technique in there that will help me expel it. But I also think I may be able to slowly refine it too. I have a few things I wish to try out. So do not worry about me and go. You just broke through and need to stabilize your cultivation, right?” Creige had gotten the idea to refine the extra yang energy because of Kana refining the tribulation lightning. He had noticed that the yang energy he accumulated was not very hard on his body, and if he could refine it, he thinks he might be able to gain the ability to control fire better.
“If you say so…” Kana still was a bit worried, but she could only reluctantly nod her head. “Just do not push yourself. Cultivation can be very delicate. So do not push your body beyond its limits.”
“I promise I will not do anything that will make you worry,” Creige answered with a smile before kissing her lips.
“Mmmm…”

The next day Kana was standing outside the sect, looking out over the road ahead of her. After saying goodbye to her family, she decided to make her way to the east she had heard there was a mystic realm opening up soon. If she could make her way there, she may be able to gain something from it.
Many people would be heading there, even some of the disciples from the sect as well. But Kana wanted to go in alone. She wanted to meet other cultivators in the world. She took a deep breath and got into a better state of mind. The world of cultivation was not for those of a kind heart. “Kill or be killed. This is how I will need to move from this point on.”
With her mindset together, Kana shot out and started running east. Not far from the place she had left, a figure appeared out of nowhere wearing black a cloak. “Girl, you really have caused me a lot of trouble because of you, I have dropped so many realms! This time I will kill you.”
The figure in black looked up at the sky, revealing an old wrinkled, pale white face. If Kana were to see this old man, she would recognize him as the old man from the soul projection from the devil cultivator she killed in the underground cave. The figure in black disappeared once more and headed off in Kana’s direction.
The mystic realm was more of a fragmented world. A world that was shattered from a great battle. The mystic realm itself was a place that had once been created by a powerful cultivator, but people broke in to try to kill the person who owned it. The battle that raged was on a whole different scale, and the mystic realm was torn apart, creating a fragmented world. Around the destroyed landmass was a black void that, if one touched it, they would instantly die. There were many such holes in the landmass, so one always had to watch their step. The only thing about this mystic realm was it was level locked to those from the foundation establishment realm and below.
What Kana will see when she enters is anyone’s guess.
