Chapter 2701: In Need of Discipline

The Weirdo said in a chilly voice, “It was your Master who did it, so what? Your mouths stink so bad you’re just begging for a beating. Master’s giving you a lesson so you don’t go out and disgrace yourselves later.”

“So it was you, you ugly freak, what right do you have to hit us?”

“Yeah, we’re all here for the free vegetarian meal, and you think you can cut in line and still be in the right?”

A few people got their mouths busted open and were bleeding, utterly furious, all shouting at once to condemn the Weirdo.

The ones who hadn’t been hit didn’t dare make a sound; they’d already seen how fierce the Weirdo was and didn’t dare mock him anymore.

They’d just come to get some free food; they had no desire to bring trouble down on themselves.

The Weirdo twisted his head around and threatened in that eerie tone, “If you keep stuttering and whining, you can say goodbye to your teeth. Then you won’t need to eat ever again.”

The crowd fell silent!

Nobody dared speak; the Weirdo was satisfied, then turned to the Maid and said, “Girl, Master doesn’t want to have to say it a second time. Hurry up and give me food!”

The other Maid who was serving food nearby saw how terrifying the Weirdo was and was afraid he’d cause trouble, so she quietly took a bowl, handed it to the serving Maid, and said, “Use this bowl to serve him.”

“But he doesn’t have hands, how’s he supposed to hold it?”

“Who cares! If he can carry it off, that’s his skill. If he can’t, that’s not on us.”

The two of them muttered under their breath, thinking no one heard, completely forgetting that Xiao Jiu was right next to them.

“Big Worm, Big Worm, they said you don’t have hands.” Xiao Jiu, who was busy eating meat, suddenly started squawking loudly.

The two Maids were stunned—how could this Birdy be such a gossip? Is it even really a bird?

The Weirdo lifted his head and asked in a cold voice, “You two talking trash about me, huh?”

The two Maids hurriedly waved their hands and shook their heads. “No, no, no, the Birdy must’ve heard wrong!”

Xiao Jiu tilted its little bird head. “No mistake, no mistake, definitely no mistake, that’s exactly what they said.”

Afraid the Weirdo would punish them, the two Maids quickly used a ladle to heap a big bowl full of rice and dishes for him.

“Master, this is your food.” This time the Maid was very prompt.

Don’t be fooled by the Weirdo’s lack of hands and feet; when he moves he’s fast as lightning, especially that scene where he beat people up—they hadn’t even seen clearly what happened before the guys in line were already down and hurt.

“Good, you know what’s good for you!” The Weirdo clamped the bowl in his mouth, then leaped away in one bound.

That works too?!

The crowd was dumbstruck.

“Masters among the common folk”—turns out that saying is true. This guy doesn’t have hands or feet and still moves who knows how many times faster than normal people. If that’s not a master, what is?

“Chirp chirp chirp, Big Worm, Big Worm, wait for me.” Seeing the Weirdo leave, Xiao Jiu hurriedly flapped its wings and flew off.

The people nearby, seeing the Weirdo gone, were rubbing their fists, ready to grab this talking Birdy.

Who knew Xiao Jiu would actually fly away, and they were instantly crestfallen—they’d been planning to catch this rare Birdy and make a fortune off it!

The Weirdo perched on the rooftop eating, and Xiao Jiu flapped over…

“Big Worm, you really came just to eat, huh! Did you forget what we said before we came?”

“Once Master gets hungry, everything else is forgotten!” The Weirdo sprawled on the roof, eating with loud, happy smacks; heaven and earth may be big, but nothing is bigger than eating.

Xiao Jiu: “We came here to cause trouble! Have you forgotten?”

The Weirdo curled his lip. “Like you’re any better—you came here just to eat meat, and you still have the nerve to lecture Master.”

Just now someone had been crawling all over his head, gobbling meat with grease running down their beak, eyes practically buried in the meat, not even sparing him a glance.

Xiao Jiu shook its little bird head hard. “Not the same, not the same, we’re not the same.”
