Chapter 1135: Arrangements

’Ever since I received the blueprint, I’ve been curious as to what it’s capable of. This is a good chance to kill two birds with one stone. Soon, I will be able to see the Endless Sword Blossom Array in action.’

The Endless Blossom Array was one of the rewards Izroth received after from a quest after curing the Thousand Blossoms Holy Maiden, Seina.

It was an expert-level magic formation—just one step below pinnacle, which was the highest grade magic formation.

The good thing about magic formations was that, just like a pill recipe, one could use it as many times as possible as long as they had the materials. Therefore, setting up a magic formation around the ore cave was not too much trouble for Izroth. That being said, Izroth knew that it would be too time consuming if to gather high level rare weapons.

That’s because, even if the Mystical Realm Palace had more than enough funds to purchase such weapons, it came down a matter of availability. No matter how much money one had, it was impossible to suddenly make things like rare weapons appear on the open market.

But, it was different for top guilds like Sleeping Gardenia. The had multiple teams that regularly ran high level dungeons and raids. And, even if they did not have enough rare weapons right now, they could send a few teams to focus on farming them.

Not to mention, in terms of wealth, even if Sleeping Gardenia itself could not compare to Izroth and the Mystical Realm Palace, it was a different case entirely if Mariposa used her personal funds.

There was also the fact that the Mystical Realm Palace was too short staffed when it came to logistics.

Of course, Izroth had given Advisor Fang Qiu permission to hire the personnel she required; however, the vetting, hiring process, and structuring was still underway. Those were things that could not be rushed as it would become one of the foundations that acted as the hands and feet of the Mystical Realm Palace.

"A magic formation?" Valkyria brows rose at Izroth’s response.

Although Formation Master was a rare profession, Sleeping Gardenia had three Formation Masters—one of which had been recently promoted to a grade three Formation Master.

Most players familiar with the Formation Master profession were aware that magic formations were divided into five ranks from lowest to highest that went Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and Pinnacle.

However, what most did not known was that within each of those ranks were four tiers that determined the quality and influenced the effectiveness of a magic formation. These tiers ranged from lowest to highest were Low, Mid, High, and Grand.

"To be more precise, I plan on setting up an expert ranked magic formation." Izroth stated calmly.

"Expert ranked...?!" Valkyria gasped.

"Does this mean that the Mystical Realm Palace already has a grade 5 Formation Master under their wing?" Valkyria thought to herself.

In order to set up an expert magic formation one had to at minimum be a grade 5 Formation Master.

"As a grade three Formation Master, one of the craftsmen of my Sleeping Gardenia was able to successfully set up a high-tier intermediate magic formation. With her skills, it won’t be long before she can set up grand-tier intermediate magic formations or even low-tier advanced magic formations. Yet, Palace Master Izroth is saying that there is a way to set up an expert magic formation?" Valkyria said as she was unable to hide the surprise on her face this time.

"Can it be that Commander Valkyria has some doubts?" Izroth asked.

"No, I know that Palace Master Izroth is not one to say empty words for the sake of hubris. I was merely taken aback. Expert ranked... That would certainly explain why it requires so many high level rare weapons to set up. Forgive me, Palace Master Izroth. I’ve shown you something unsightly." Valkyria said as she regained her composure.

"This matter—let’s not think too much of it. Since we are allies, such sights shouldn’t be minded." Izroth replied in a casual manner.

The more Izroth interacted with Valkyria, the more he saw her upright and formal side. She was a little less reserved and more informal when it was just Mariposa or He Huian around. But, whenever handling matters for the guild or in front of others, she took every action she made seriously and saw it as a direct reflection of Sleeping Gardenia and Mariposa.

This kind of nature was something that could not be taught.

Izroth and Valkyria spent the next few minutes going over the small details of their arrangement.

In the end, Valkyria decided to handle providing all the necessary resources. She explained that her decision was not to reject Izroth’s kindness, but rather to avoid taking advantage of it. After all, if she let him provide the resources while also setting up an expert magic formation for their guild, Valkyria said that Mariposa would surely scold her for it.

Of course, Izroth had no problem with Valkyria and Sleeping Gardenia wanting to provide the materials. He merely figured it would be more convenient since he already possessed many of the required resources. But, upon hearing the sincerity in Valkyria’s voice, he did not pursue the matter.

It was agreed that if Sleeping Gardenia could not find some of the materials, Izroth would provide them at a reduced cost.

Valkyria also spoke with Mariposa and He Huian via the in-game voice chat about the ore cave mining distribution rights being a part of the deal. There were no objections from either side.

Since Sleeping Gardenia was investing the manpower, time, and resources into managing the ore cave, Izroth said that 10% was enough.

Izroth’s only other request was that if any High-Quality Sygrix Stone were discovered, as long as he had an immediate need for it, the priority would always go to him.

If such a request were coming from anyone else, Mariposa would have never agreed to it. After all, a High-Quality Sygrix Stone in its unrefined state was already an ancient-ranked material. If refined properly, there was a chance for it to become a mythical-ranked material.

Giving someone priority over it every time one was discovered—wouldn’t such a thing be easily taken advantage of by the other party?

However, Mariposa agreed to Izroth’s request without hesitation. She understood that with Izroth’s character, he would not try to gain some momentary small benefits through shrewd means.

Once everything was settled, the voice chat ended and Izroth decided to leave the remaining small details to Advisor Fang Qiu. While Mariposa allowed He Huian to handle things from the side of Sleeping Gardenia.

"Once again, I would like to thank Palace Master Izroth for assisting the members of my Sleeping Gardenia in their time of need. The guild leader truly has good foresight when it comes to people." Valkyria said respectfully.

At that time, if Mariposa had not torn up the contract and went with her gut feeling, there was a good chance that the ties between Izroth and Sleeping Gardenia would have been nonexistent. Or, at the very least, not close enough for him to willingly aid their guild members.

"Forget it. If Commander Valkyria thanks me every time over small matters like this, I will start to feel like a stranger instead of an ally." Izroth said with a carefree smile.

A light smile found its way onto Valkyria’s face. For some reason, hearing those words made her feel as though she had met a true comrade for the first time in a long time.

"Is it me or is the commander actually smiling?" One of the Lotus Guard members in the distance commented.

"I’ve only seen the commander smile a few times when talking to our guild leader or the advisor, but... I’ve never seen her smile in front of a man before. Kyah~ Don’t tell me our commander has fallen for Palace Master Izroth?" Another one of the Lotus Guard chimed in.

"Stop speaking nonsense. Everyone knows Palace Master Izroth is the man of our guild leader’s precious little sister. If anyone dares try to snatch him, even if it’s the commander, can they bare the consequences?"

"Hehe~ Our little miss is growing up. Still, it’s a shame. The commander is usually always so stoic, so it’s always a treasure to see her beautiful smile."

As the Lotus Guard members talked amongst one another in the distance, Valkyria cupped her fists together and raised it before her face as she stood in front of Izroth.

"I will keep that in mind. I have taken up enough of your time. I wish you well on your journey, Palace Master Izroth." Valkyria said gracefully.

Izroth gave a small nod of approval as he returned her gesture with one of his own and replied, "Safe travels."

’There are only a few hours left until I have to be at the coordinates of the Trial Dungeon. That’s plenty of time to thoroughly check on Empyrean and Selene’s status.’
