RE: LORD OF TIME
Chapter 246: Bloodline Fusion (Part 2)
(Your Chaos Bloodline has advanced to the second level.)
(You have awakened Bloodline Ability—Bloodline Fusion.)
William stared at the two notifications before him, his eyes wide open in shock.
“My Chaos Bloodline has advanced to the second level…” He muttered with a dazed expression, feeling extremely excited.
He took a few deep breaths to calm himself before looking at his Status Window.
Now that his bloodline had advanced to the second level, not only had his Chaos Bloodline become even more powerful, but he could also assimilate a second bloodline into it.
The Vampire Bloodline he had assimilated earlier had brought him immense benefits, and assimilating another powerful bloodline would bring an enormous increase in his strength.
William examined his Status Window to see if there were any clues explaining why his Chaos Bloodline had suddenly advanced to the second level.
However, there was nothing unusual on his Status Window.
“Since there’s nothing on my Status Window, it must be something related to the Vermilion Flame,” William muttered, suddenly thinking about his physical Nirvana.
Not only had his physical body become far stronger than before and his core reached the middle stage of Star Commander, but the Nirvana brought about by the Vermilion Flame had also enhanced his potential.
“It’s very likely that the simultaneous increase in my potential, physical strength, and core rank stimulated my Chaos Bloodline, successfully allowing it to advance to the second level.”
William took a deep breath before looking at the details of his newly awakened Bloodline Ability.
====
—) Bloodline Fusion: You can fuse different bloodlines assimilated into the Chaos Bloodline into one. Note that if the compatibility between the bloodlines being fused is not high, there is a high probability that the fused bloodline will degrade in rank and become weaker than its original versions.
====
“An ability that can fuse different bloodlines assimilated into the Chaos Bloodline into a single bloodline…”
William read the details of the ability, and his eyes narrowed.
The second bloodline he had been considering assimilating into his Chaos Bloodline was Samuel’s Bloodline, as Vivian had mentioned that there were traces of divinity in his blood.
Considering that it contained divinity, it was obvious that Samuel’s Bloodline was of a very high level.
However, now that he had awakened Bloodline Fusion, he needed to think carefully about which bloodline he should assimilate next.
If he assimilated a bloodline that wasn’t highly compatible with his Vampire Bloodline, he wouldn’t be able to fuse the two bloodlines into one without risking a loss of power.
Although he wasn’t sure how powerful the effects of a successful fusion would be, he had a feeling that highly compatible bloodlines, once fused, would produce a bloodline far more powerful than their original versions.
“This ability could be extremely powerful if used wisely,” William muttered with narrowed eyes as he thought about his other Bloodline Ability—Chaos Evolution.
Because of Chaos Evolution, whenever he assimilated a bloodline, there was a fifty percent probability that its grade would increase by one level.
This ability was William’s hope for obtaining a bloodline that surpassed the Origin Grade.
However, now that he had Bloodline Fusion, he had another option available to him.
Even if Chaos Evolution failed to trigger its fifty percent probability, he would still have a chance of obtaining a bloodline above the Origin Grade.
All he needed to do was assimilate another Origin Grade Bloodline and then fuse it with his existing Origin Grade Vampire Bloodline.
The fusion of two Origin Grade Bloodlines might produce a bloodline of a higher grade than Origin.
Even if it failed, he would only need to continue fusing more Origin Grade Bloodlines that were compatible with the resulting bloodline. As more and more Origin Grade Bloodlines were fused into one, it was very likely that the resulting bloodline would eventually surpass the Origin Grade.
William suppressed his excitement and shook his head.
‘Calm down, calm down… Origin Grade Bloodlines aren’t cabbages that you can simply buy in the market. I’ll have to plan carefully if I want to obtain more Origin Grade Bloodlines.’
William looked at his Status Window one last time before closing it.
Now that he could assimilate another bloodline, he needed to keep an eye out for potential candidates with powerful bloodlines.
‘I wonder if there’s anyone in the Trial Realm with a powerful bloodline who would be kind enough to donate some of their blood to me.’
William thought with a chuckle before clenching his fist.
After undergoing physical Nirvana, his physical strength had increased considerably.
Compared to before, his body was at least thirty to forty percent more powerful, enough to allow him to face even someone at the middle stage of Star Lord.
His core’s rank had also increased, reaching the middle stage of Star Commander. The intensity of his Aether Energy was now far greater than before, which would be extremely helpful in this place devoid of Aether Energy.
With the increased intensity of his Aether Energy, he would need to consume less energy to use his skills and other abilities.
Looking around, William’s gaze settled on a boulder two meters tall and one meter wide.
He stretched out his hand, and the next second, a deep red flame ignited in his palm.
William waved his hand, and the flame shot toward the boulder, engulfing it.
The instant the flame enveloped the boulder, its temperature rose sharply, and within just a few seconds, the rock began to melt.
Seeing the power of the Vermilion Flame, a look of surprise appeared in William’s eyes, and he couldn’t help but gasp.
“This power… I’m afraid even a Peak Star Lord wouldn’t be able to withstand it if caught off guard…” He muttered in a low voice before shaking his head.
“Although its power is immense, the energy consumption of using Vermilion Flame at full power is also considerable.”
William checked his Aether Core and noticed that the Vermilion Flame had consumed a significant amount of his Aether Energy in just a short time.
If he continued using it at full power, he would run out of Aether Energy in just two or three minutes.
‘Forget it. Even if I can’t use it all the time, it’s good to have something that can save my life in a crucial moment.’
“Dadda!”
Just as William was lost in thought, he heard Eve’s aggrieved shout.
William turned around and saw Eve pouting and repeatedly hitting Number One with her hands, apparently frustrated that it was stopping her from approaching him.
William blinked a few times at the sight of Eve before suddenly recalling how her blood had contained an unusual hint of silver.
‘Is it possible that… Eve also has a bloodline?’
As this thought crossed his mind, William’s eyes glowed faintly, and he walked toward her.
