Kalsh listened to William’s explanation and showed a complicated expression.

"So you have been wandering around this Land of Desolation for a long time?"

"Yes," William nodded and sighed. "Because I can’t remember where I came from or what I used to do, I didn’t know where to go, so I have been wandering around this Land of Desolation for a long time."

Kalsh remained silent for a moment after hearing William’s words before sighing as well.

"The Crawler you fought must have been very powerful. To injure you so seriously that you even lost your memories... It must have been a Superior Crawler."

"I don’t know," William shook his head. "I only remember that the Crawler was very powerful and that I received a head injury during our fight. It must have been because of that injury that I lost my memories."

Kalsh nodded before speaking.

"If I am not mistaken, you must be from the White Tower. But since I have never seen you in the White Tower of Varhan City, you must have come from a distant place."

William’s eyes gleamed slightly as Kalsh finally began talking about something important.

"Why do you say I am from the White Tower? Is it because I can use this lightning power?" As he spoke, William stretched out his palm, and Blood Lightning crackled around it.

Kalsh was still amazed when he saw the Blood Lightning, as he could feel that it was far more powerful than his Black Lightning.

"You might have forgotten because of your memory loss, but we humans can’t naturally use this kind of power..." As he spoke, Kalsh also demonstrated his Black Lightning.

"Only by using Ability Cores can we gain powers similar to those of Crawlers. Since you have been wandering around the Land of Desolation for a long time, you must have encountered many Crawlers, right?"

William nodded at Kalsh’s question, as he had indeed faced many Crawlers.

Seeing him nod, Kalsh continued.

"Among the Crawlers, there are many that can use special powers, such as controlling fire, lightning, earth, and many others. Once these Crawlers are killed, there’s a very high possibility that they will drop an Ability Core. The White Tower is the force with the deepest knowledge and research in the field of Ability Cores. By integrating a Crawler’s Ability Core into a human, they allow that person to use powers similar to those of Crawlers."

The black lightning around Kalsh disappeared, and he spoke seriously.

"My Black Lightning is an ability I gained after integrating the Lightning Ability Core of a Crawler. Although it’s not impossible for outsiders to come to the White Tower and undergo the integration process to gain such powers, most of the time, unless you have a very high status, it’s impossible for the White Tower to grant powerful Ability Cores to people who aren’t their own."

He looked at William and spoke with certainty.

"Since you were able to integrate such a powerful Ability Core, it’s very likely that you are either from the White Tower or have a very high status. Though I lean more toward the former, as even people with high status would find it very difficult to obtain such a powerful Ability Core without being part of the White Tower."

William listened to Kalsh’s explanation, and a look of understanding flashed in his eyes.

At the same time, he couldn’t help thinking of Number One.

’So Number One is one of those special Crawlers that can use abilities. And only special Crawlers like Number One can drop Ability Cores.’

He processed the information before asking about something else.

"What about the Black Tower? You mistook me for someone from the Black Tower earlier."

Kalsh gave a wary smile and shook his head.

"The Black Tower is very different from the White Tower. Unlike the White Tower, which only integrates Ability Cores into people, the members of the Black Tower are complete psychos. Instead of integrating an Ability Core, they fuse with an entire Crawler, including its body. Because of this, they not only gain the Crawler’s abilities but also its physical strength and other benefits. However, they are prone to going insane, often losing themselves and turning into real monsters."

Kalsh paused before looking at William awkwardly.

"Earlier, when you didn’t confirm that you were part of the White Tower, I thought you might be from the Black Tower. If you lost your mind here, you would have certainly killed me."

"I see..." William nodded and asked about the other two towers as well.

Thinking that William was curious about them because of his memory loss, Kalsh didn’t hide anything and told him everything.

The Red Tower was a force that focused on directly cultivating the human body. Its members didn’t rely on the Ability Cores of Crawlers or their bodies.

Instead, they used monster blood and meat to enhance their physical strength.

To William, the Red Tower seemed like a force that used Body Forging Techniques to cultivate its members.

As for the Green Tower, it leaned more toward alchemy. It was the primary force that used monsters, rare herbs, and even parts of Crawler bodies to make potions, pills, and many other things.

Although the Green Tower was the weakest of the four Symbol Towers in terms of strength, its influence was actually greater than that of the other three towers because its products were used by almost everyone, including the members of the Red, White, and Black Towers.

William asked a few more questions to improve his general understanding of the Trial Realm, and after around half an hour, he had gained a basic understanding of it.

"Ugh... William," Kalsh suddenly spoke in a hesitant voice.

William raised an eyebrow when he saw this, as he already had a guess about what Kalsh wanted to say.

"If you need help, just say so. Since you also helped me, I won’t refuse if I can help you."

Kalsh was taken aback by William’s bluntness. But he soon took a deep breath and spoke seriously.

"Can you help me get something from the top of that volcano?"

William had already expected him to say this, so he glanced at Kalsh’s broken hands and pointed at his palm.

"Are you talking about the flower this petal belongs to?"
