RE: LORD OF TIME
Chapter 231: Kalsh (Part 2)
"Arghh!" William was stunned when he heard Eve’s painful groan and immediately looked at her.
Seeing her covering the side of her cheek with blood flowing out from between her fingers, a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
The man was stunned when he saw William and Eve, and a look of surprise flashed in his eyes.
"I am sorry, I thought there wa—"
Crackle!
He was still in the middle of speaking when the sound of crackling lightning suddenly reached his ears, and a fist covered in Blood Lightning appeared out of nowhere, rapidly growing in his vision.
The man’s pupils contracted to the size of needles, and a look of horror appeared on his face.
Driven by his extreme sense of danger, the man immediately raised both hands in front of his face, crossing them.
At the same time, a shield made of black lightning appeared before him.
Bang!
But his hastily created shield didn’t last even a second before it shattered, and the fist covered in Blood Lightning struck his hands.
Crack!
The sound of bones cracking echoed, and the man was immediately sent flying backward as if he had been hit by a giant bull.
Cough!
The man coughed out blood in midair and crashed five meters away, rolling across the ground in disarray.
The man’s internal organs churned, and he felt waves of pain erupting from every single part of his body.
What was even worse was that both of his hands were broken, and the group of Fire Spirits chasing him was about to catch up with him.
Once he was surrounded by them, even though he was stronger than each of them individually, he would still be burned to ashes because of their sheer numbers.
’God of Truth, who the hell was that guy?’ Kalsh groaned in pain as he tried to stand up.
But his entire body felt weak, and he couldn’t gather enough strength to stand.
Watching the group of Fire Spirits rapidly approaching him, a look of despair flashed in Kalsh’s eyes, and he smiled bitterly.
’I am sorry, Hepa. Your brother is useless.’
Just as he was feeling despair while watching the approaching Fire Spirits, Kalsh felt a strong hand grab the back of his neck.
Crackle!
The familiar sound of crackling lightning reached his ears, and the next second, he felt a violent impact on his body as the scenery in his vision turned into a blur.
Cough!
He coughed out another mouthful of blood and felt his already-churning internal organs shaking even more violently.
Thud!
Suddenly, he was thrown to the ground.
Kalsh couldn’t hold back any longer and immediately began to vomit, tears and snot flowing from his eyes and nose.
William ignored the man and, after throwing him down, squatted beside Eve.
"Dadda!" Eve looked at him pitifully, tears flowing from her eyes.
"Now, now... Isn’t this just a skin wound? It’ll disappear in just a moment." William gently pulled her hand away from her cheek and saw that it was only a minor skin injury.
"Wooh!"
Instead of calming down, Eve began to cry even louder after hearing William’s words.
William looked at the Fire Spirits in the distance and immediately covered her mouth.
Although he had brought Eve and the man some distance away from their previous location, they weren’t very far away.
If they made too much noise, the Fire Spirits would notice them immediately.
"Don’t cry. I will heal you immediately," He said to the crying girl and gently placed his hand on her cheek.
Vermilion Fire burned on his palm, and the small injury on her cheek immediately disappeared.
"See, it’s gone now." William smiled at her and pulled his hand back.
Eve felt the pain in her cheek disappear and stopped crying.
"Dadda!" She rubbed her belly and looked at him, blinking her big eyes rapidly.
"Didn’t you eat just a little while ago?" William’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch as he spoke.
Seeing that she wasn’t getting any food, tears once again gathered in her eyes.
William was speechless when he saw this and handed her an apple to eat.
Eve’s eyes immediately lit up, and she began to munch on the apple.
At the same time, in her little mind, she registered a new trick: as long as she shed some water from her eyes, her Dadda would give her whatever she wanted.
Her eyes grew brighter as she thought about this, and she decided to try it again after finishing the apple in her hand.
William was completely unaware of the scheme brewing in her little mind, as his gaze was fixed on the bit of Eve’s blood on his palm.
When he had touched her cheek earlier, some of her blood had stuck to his palm.
He hadn’t paid attention to it earlier, but as he examined it carefully now, he noticed that amid the redness of her blood, there was also a faint silver color.
It was very similar to the color of her eyes.
’Even her blood isn’t entirely red. Does that mean she really isn’t human?’ William pondered with a thoughtful look before carefully collecting the blood from his palm and handing it to Eva, asking her to see if she could discover anything from it.
Looking at Eve, he saw her happily eating an apple, her eyes unusually bright as if she were happy about something.
Ignoring her, he shifted his attention toward the man, who was panting heavily on the ground with saliva trickling from his mouth.
He had just stopped vomiting, and because both of his hands were broken, he couldn’t even wipe his mouth.
William noticed some unusual grime stuck to the sides of the man’s mouth and lips and frowned slightly.
Although he didn’t mind talking to him in this state, as he had seen many worse things during the war in the original timeline, he still created a large blob of water using Water Elemental Energy and threw it at the man, almost drowning him.
"Woah!" The man found it difficult to breathe as a large amount of water suddenly splashed over him and he couldn’t help but take deep breaths as the water receded.
Tap! Tap!
Just then, the man heard the sound of footsteps and as he raised his head, he saw the man who had nearly killed him earlier walking toward him with cold eyes.
Seeing the coldness in his eyes, he crawled backward slightly and asked in a panicked voice, "Wh-who are you?"
