RE: LORD OF TIME

Chapter 191: Meaning Of Life

"Professor, can I spar against William?"

Norman turned to look at Edrin and raised an eyebrow.

After considering everyone’s level and to allow everyone to have a decent battle, Norman had planned to match William with Noah, as in the entire class, he felt Noah was the only one who could provide some challenge to William.

In fact, the real goal of letting them spar was just to let them get some combat experience.

After all, even he knew none of them would go all out only for the sake of a simple spar.

From the next class, he was even planning to seal the Aether Energy of high-level students like William, Noah, Kevin, and the others during the battle so that they could hone their techniques better without relying on amplification or Aether Energy.

He was planning to let Edrin spar against Maya, as he felt both of them were on the same level.

But hearing that he wanted to go against William, Norman couldn’t help but fall silent.

He glanced at William, and the latter just shrugged his shoulders, indicating he was fine with anything.

Seeing William’s nonchalant look, as if he didn’t take him seriously at all, Edrin clenched his fist in anger.

’You won’t be able to act all cocky after the spar...’ A cold gleam flashed in Edrin’s eyes.

Norman was also speechless upon seeing William’s nonchalant look, but he did not think he was arrogant.

Not to mention the strength he had shown during his spar against Kevin, Norman still hadn’t forgotten the boundless vitality he had felt from William’s body when he came to ask for permission to accept a high level task.

Knowing Edrin had no chance of winning, Norman, who was in the mood to play the role of a good instructor today, thought about stopping him so that he wouldn’t lose his confidence.

"All of you are classmates. Why harbor such resentment against each other? Life is all about forgetting about bad things and continuing to move forward. How about both of you shake hands and become good friends?"

Not to mention Edrin, even William and the others couldn’t help but roll their eyes upon hearing Norman’s words.

"Professor, life isn’t as simple as you describe," Edrin said in a flat voice.

"What do you mean, life isn’t simple? If you think deeply about it, it’s actually very simple..." Norman gave Edrin a side-eye before snapping his fingers.

The next second, all the female students lost their hearing.

Only after confirming that the female students couldn’t hear did he continue.

"Let me tell you, life is actually like a dick. Sometimes it’s up, sometimes it’s down, but it’s not always hard. As long as you behave properly, you can control its ups and downs." He stared at Edrin and spoke seriously. "And if you don’t behave yourself and mess with the wrong people, they can cut it and make it short."

Black lines appeared on Edrin’s and the other students’ foreheads, and they looked at Norman with dark faces.

Even William was stunned and felt he had learned a new meaning of life, giving Norman a thumbs-up in his heart.

Seeing that Edrin’s face wasn’t looking good, Norman shook his head.

"Forget it. Since you want to have a spar, then go ahead."

As he spoke, he removed the Aether Energy covering the female students’ ears.

"What was Professor saying?" Alicia asked Liam.

Liam’s mouth twitched, and he shook his head. "It was nothing special. He just taught the boys a new meaning of life."

"New meaning of life?" Alicia was confused by Liam’s words, but seeing that he had no intention of telling her, she did not ask anything.

Edrin took a deep breath when Norman agreed to let him spar against William, and he quickly walked toward one of the empty rings.

William smiled when he saw this and glanced at Kevin, who was standing at the side.

"Lord Kevin, see, this is what I call courage..." He grinned at him. "You still don’t have enough confidence to beat me after our last spar. But look at this guy. Although he is just a bottom feeder, he still dares to come fight me. You are really not courageous enough."

Kevin was startled and looked at William with a baffled look, wondering how he was dragged into their fight.

But noticing William’s grinning face, he immediately understood that this guy was just mocking Edrin while speaking to him and rolled his eyes, remaining silent.

When Edrin heard William calling him a bottom feeder, his footsteps paused slightly, but he immediately continued to walk.

He came to the side of the battle ring and picked up a training sword and shield from the weapon racks.

As he picked them up, his storage ring flashed, and something appeared in his hand.

But the thing remained in his hand for less than a second before it merged with the shield in his hand.

’I will make you regret everything you have done until now, commoner,’ He thought and stepped onto the battle ring.

William also came to the weapon rack and picked up a training sword.

But after thinking for a moment, his lips curled upward, and he placed it back.

Seeing him walking into the ring without a sword, Norman raised an eyebrow.

"Not going to use a weapon?"

William stretched slightly and shook his head.

"I don’t want to end this in just a second."

William’s voice wasn’t loud, but it reached everyone’s ears in the training ground, including the ones who were learning battle arts from Norman’s clone at the side.

"Damn it, I should have also said something like this when I fought that guy Zion." Liam couldn’t help but feel envious when he heard William’s show-off words.

"If you had spoken those words... Forget about others, even I would have laughed in your face," Alicia spoke with a roll of her eyes.

"Why would you laugh?" Liam was dissatisfied with her words. "I am also very strong, okay?"

"I never said you are not strong. It’s just that..." She looked at his face and shook her head. "It’s just that you can’t take an oily-faced brat seriously at all."

Liam’s eyes twitched at Alicia’s words, and he complained in a low voice.

"What’s wrong with applying a little oil on my face? It’s at least better than four pounds of makeup on your face."

Alicia’s face darkened when she heard Liam’s words, and she looked at him with cold eyes.

"What did you say?"

Liam immediately broke out in cold sweat upon feeling her murderous gaze, and the next instant, Blood Lightning flashed around him, and he ran away.

Alicia looked at his fleeing figure and noted down this grievance in her little diary, planning to settle this matter in the future.

On the other hand, Noah and the other people were also stunned upon hearing William’s words.

"This guy is so arrogant."

"I know he is strong... But beating Edrin in a second? It’s just a fantasy."

"Right. Edrin also has an Epic Grade Trait, and I heard it’s defense-oriented. Forget about a second, I don’t think he will be able to break it even in a minute."

Kevin looked at Noah beside him and asked in a low voice.

"Do you think he is serious about being able to defeat Edrin in just a second if he uses a sword?"

Noah thought for a moment before shaking his head. "I am not sure. But currently, he is definitely far stronger than the time he defeated you."

Kevin looked at William and nodded, as just like Noah, he could also feel William’s strength had increased considerably since the time he had fought against him.

"Are you sure you don’t want to use a weapon?"

Norman’s eyes also twitched slightly as he asked William again.

"I am sure, Professor," William nodded calmly.

There wasn’t any special reason for William not to use a sword. In fact, even while using the sword, he could prolong the fight if he wanted.

But since he was going to show Edrin his place, he decided to do it thoroughly so that he wouldn’t bother him in the future.

Hearing William’s response, Norman glanced at Edrin and saw his face was currently as dark as a piece of charcoal.

’Poor child, his life is really hard,’ He thought and once again felt his earlier theory of life was indeed correct.

"Alright, since you don’t want a weapon, so be it..." He coughed lightly and signaled William to step into the ring.

William walked to the battle ring and stood a few meters away from Edrin.

"You are too overconfident, commoner," Edrin spoke with a cold look in his eyes.

William glanced at him and shook his head.

"If you are weak and still talk too highly of yourself, that’s what you call overconfidence..." Aether Energy flowed out of his body, and in just a few seconds, his entire body was covered in a layer of light-blue Aether Energy.

"But if you have the strength to back up your high talk, that is just pure confidence, and there is nothing wrong with having high confidence."
