Chapter 180: Types Of Soul Armament

There were two types of Soul Armaments in the world.

Artificial Soul Armaments and Natural Soul Armaments.

William’s Blood Moon was an Artificial Soul Armament that was created by a blacksmith.

In simple words, Soul Armaments that were created by people using different materials were called Artificial Soul Armaments.

On the other hand, Natural Soul Armaments were the ones that were born naturally.

Just like how plants grow in an environment, if certain conditions are met, a Natural Soul Armament can also be born.

For example, in a volcanic region rich in fire elements and filled with many different materials, there is a possibility that if some extreme conditions are met, a Natural Soul Armament holding the power of fire will be born.

Until now, William had always considered Eva to be an Artificial Soul Armament, something that the God of Time had created himself.

But upon hearing her address Aevion by name instead of calling him Master, he suddenly felt that he might be wrong.

Eva was silent upon hearing William’s question. After a few seconds, instead of answering his question, she asked back.

"Why are you asking this?"

"There is no special reason..." William responded calmly. "I am just curious. Of course, if you don’t want to say, then don’t. I am not forcing you."

William turned silent after speaking and waited for some time. When he did not receive any reply, he thought Eva wasn’t going to answer, but just then, a faint voice echoed inside his mind.

"Hmm?" William raised an eyebrow because the voice was very low, and he couldn’t understand it.

"Did you say something?" He asked Eva.

"I said I am a Natural-Born Soul Armament," Eva finally spoke in a loud enough voice for him to understand. "Aevion found me when he was traveling around the different realms, and seeing that he was very compatible with the Rules of Time, I decided to accompany him and become his Soul Armament."

William was surprised when he heard Eva.

"You mean you met Aevion even before he became a God?"

"Yes." Eva nodded. "I accompanied him from the time he was just a mortal."

"Hmmm..." William remained silent for a second before asking softly, "Eva, can you tell me how the God of Time fell?"

A deep silence hung in William’s Sea of Consciousness as Eva remained silent.

William had expected her not to say anything about it, so he wasn’t surprised and just shook his head.

But there was something he still wanted to say.

"Eva, I don’t know if you have some kind of goal of your own in your mind or everything that you are doing is somehow related to the reason behind why the God of Time fell. But..." He paused before his expression turned serious.

"I hope you don’t do anything that will break the bond between us. I am grateful for all the help you are providing me, but I won’t accept it if you intend to harm me or the people close to me in any way."

"I am not..." Eva spoke softly. "I won’t deny that I have my own reasons for helping you, but trust me, I have no intention of causing any harm to you or the people close to you."

"That would be the best," William spoke in a low voice and tried to put the Transcendent Bone he had just received into his storage ring.

But before he could, Eva stopped him.

"Don’t. Although it’s just a bone, it belongs to a God. The space of a normal storage ring can’t hold such a powerful thing."

William immediately paused his action and looked at the bone in his hand.

"Then where should I store it? I can’t put such a precious thing in my room’s cabinet, right?"

"I will keep it for you." As Eva’s voice echoed, the bone in his palm disappeared. "Just ask me when you need it."

"Alright." William nodded and asked curiously, "Where did you put that bone? Do you have a storage function as well?"

"I have a lot of abilities that you don’t know about," Eva said in a somewhat smug voice. After their earlier conversation, she seemed a bit more relaxed than usual.

"If you want to learn more about my abilities, then increase your Power quickly. Only when you become strong enough will you be able to use me properly."

"Oh!" William showed a flat expression at her words. It wasn’t that he did not believe her.

It was simply because he was already trying his best to increase his rank as soon as possible, and there was nothing else he could do to speed it up even further.

Just then, William remembered another thing.

"By the way, I remember you told me that in order to see the possible futures, you need to expend a lot of energy, and you draw that energy from the cracks in time..." He asked curiously.

"Did my recent actions cause any changes in the cracks in time?"

"Any changes..."

William heard Eva’s voice, and for some reason, he could feel helplessness in it.

"Something wrong?" He asked in confusion, feeling that something was wrong.

"I initially didn’t plan to tell you since it wouldn’t be of any help, but since you have asked..." William felt as if Eva took a deep breath to stabilize herself before she spoke.

"The cracks in time of the Vermilion Realm fell into chaos a few days ago."

"Fell into chaos..." A look of confusion appeared on William’s face. "What do you mean?"

"Your Bloodline..." Eva spoke seriously. "The instant you awakened your Bloodline, the entire cracks in time were thrown into utter chaos. The commotion was so big that I absorbed a large amount of energy. In fact, considering the scale of the commotion, I wouldn’t be surprised if the powerful Time Devourers have already noticed that something is terribly wrong in the Vermilion Realm."

William felt a chill run down his spine and asked in shock.

"You mean powerful Time Devourers might already be coming for me?"

"Yes..." Eva nodded, making William break out in a cold sweat.

But just then, she added something that made him sigh in relief.

"But you don’t have to worry for the time being. The amount of energy I absorbed from the cracks in time during the recent chaos was very large. Expending that extra energy, I can hide our presence even from the powerful Time Devourers, so we are safe for the time being."

"That’s good." William wiped the sweat from his forehead and complained, "If there was such a big thing, you should have told me earlier."

"It’s not like you could do anything even if I told you," Eva replied calmly. "It would have just made you worry unnecessarily."

"That’s true, but still..." William took a deep breath and shook his head.

Just then, he felt a presence approaching. He looked to the side and saw Vivian coming over.

However, he was soon stunned because he saw that she was dragging a severely injured person.

"This is..." He looked at her in confusion.

Vivian threw the person onto the ground like trash and spoke calmly.

"Benlot Family... It seems they are coming for you."
