"This letter just states that you have allowed me to accept a High-Level D-Rank Task."

Hearing William’s words, Norman stared at him with deadpan eyes. After a few seconds, he sighed and spoke in a gentle voice.

"Listen up, child. Even if you were rejected by a girl, there is no need to commit suicide over such a small matter. Even if you don’t think about yourself, at least think about your parents."

Question marks appeared above William’s head as he stared at Norman with a baffled look, wondering what kind of language he was speaking.

Norman handed the letter back to him and patted his shoulder.

"Go, take a visit to Joyful Pavilion. I assure you that you will forget about the girl who rejected you."

Black lines appeared on William’s forehead, and he spoke with a stiff smile.

"Professor, I think you have misunderstood something. I wasn’t rejected by any girl, nor am I planning to commit suicide."

Norman rolled his eyes and sneered.

"If you don’t plan to commit suicide, then why do you want to accept a High-Level D-Rank Task?" He spoke in an annoyed tone. "That’s why I didn’t want to become a professor. You brats just don’t know what’s good for you."

William could understand why Norman was acting like this. After all, a High-Level D-Rank Task was something only a group of Star Commander-level students could accept.

He was just a Star Warrior, and he even wanted to accept this task alone, which really did sound suicidal.

But William had his own considerations.

"Professor, I know what you are thinking, but I can really handle a High-Level D-Rank Task on my own..." As he spoke, William stretched out his hand. "If you don’t believe me, just sense my current physical condition."

Norman frowned at William’s words and grabbed his hand, his soul senses and Aether Energy briefly sweeping over his body to check his physical condition.

It was fine before he checked it. But after sensing William’s condition, his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

"This..." He stared at William in shock. "What kind of monstrous body is this?"

Through his observation, Norman could tell that William’s physical strength had already surpassed the Star Warrior level and reached the Star Commander level.

But what truly shocked him was the endless vitality inside William’s body. It was as if there were an ocean of vitality inside him, continuously flowing throughout his body.

’Other than his traits, does this brat even have a powerful bloodline?’

Norman pulled back his hand and fell into deep thought.

William saw the shock on Norman’s face and knew that the matter was settled.

"Professor, can I get your signature now?"

Norman stared at William for a few seconds.

Recalling the strength William had displayed against Kevin and combining it with his physical strength and almost endless vitality, he felt it was not impossible for William to accept a High-Level D-Rank Task.

Norman opened the letter and signed it using his Aether Energy. With his Aether Energy fluctuations imprinted on the letter, the people at the Task Center wouldn’t think the letter was fake and would allow William to accept a High-Level D-Rank Task even though his level was only that of a Star Warrior.

"I don’t know what kind of task you are going to accept, but be careful..." He said and after handing the letter back to William, he returned to the class.

"Thank you, Professor," William thanked Norman before leaving the classroom building.

While heading toward the Task Center, he used his connection with Vivian to send her a message.

Around half an hour later, William emerged from the Task Center, holding a wooden slip in his hand.

"I knew this task was still here at this time..." He muttered in a low voice, his eyes gleaming slightly.

Just as he came out of the Task Center, he saw Dominick waiting for him outside.

"Here."

Dominick walked over and handed a storage ring to him.

William looked inside the ring and saw that all the things he needed were inside.

Through the Eternal Blood Pact, he thanked Vivian before looking at Dominick.

"Thanks for the help. You can go back."

"OH!" Dominick nodded, but for some reason, he felt that William was a bit different from before.

He had met William two times before, but the feeling William gave him was now completely different from before.

He did not know why, but he even felt an urge to kneel down in front of him.

Seeing him standing there in a daze, William raised an eyebrow.

"Do you need something?"

Hearing William’s voice, Dominick came back to his senses and quickly shook his head.

’I must be sick...’ He thought before turning around to leave.

’It seems even blood slaves, who are not real vampires, can’t ignore the aura of a Progenitor Vampire Bloodline.’ William thought with a shake of his head before heading outside the academy.

He took a carriage and headed toward the city gate.

Around half an hour later, the carriage stopped right before the entrance of the City of Vance.

William paid the fare and trotted out of the city, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Once he was outside, William suddenly thought of something and paused.

He glanced back at the city, and his eyes narrowed slightly.

’I wonder if they will try to do something...’ He thought for a moment before using his connection with Vivian to send her a message.

A few minutes later, he received a response from her and finally felt relieved.

’Now everything is settled...’ He thought and immediately began to run, wanting to get far away from the city.

Around half an hour later, William was already far away from the City of Vance, and no people could be seen anywhere.

Seeing that he was finally alone, a smile appeared on William’s face, and the next second, two jet-black wings unfolded from his back.

"Time to go and get that thing..." He muttered to himself before flapping his wings and slowly rising above the ground.

Soon, he was hovering one hundred meters above the ground.

William confirmed the direction he needed to go, and the next second—

Bang!

A sonic boom echoed as he turned into a streak of black light, speeding away into the distance.
