Re-Birth of a Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2511: Gritty battle

Chapter 2511: Gritty battle

Ivar ran through the woods and he was in awe.

Everything in this place felt new to him. The trees, the herbs, even the small bushes and grass are different from what he typically knew.

They were gigantic and they have extremely high levels of spiritual energy. If not for the digestibility and the purity of these flora.. they might be more potent than some of the actual medicinal herbs that are currently in circulation in the academy realm.

He knew why the Deans and Grand elders were yet to make a move here... but if they knew what he is seeing here, he doubted they would hesitate to set their feet in.

While he was lost in his thoughts, he didn’t get lost in the way. Soon, he was bypassed the small obstacles and landed in a grassy plain, with each blade of grass almost three feet tall. And in front he saw the target.

The land croc or whatever the name Sam gave it. The reptilian creature.

Its around 18 feet tall. A large head, small reptilian scales, that were almost as dark as a black opal. Its teeth were particularly shiny, to the point even Ivar felt a chill as he saw it. Its forelimbs were tiny just like Sam showed and described. The tail was equipped with sharp spikes at the end.

The leg muscles... that’s what scared Ivar the more....

The creature was prowling around sniffing casually and all of a sudden, its head whipped towards Ivar.

Ivar took out his giant battle axe and muttered.

"How the fuck should I kill you without hacking you to pieces."

He jumped at it with the axe... but he was shocked the next second. Energy manifested around the Land croc as it leaped at Ivar.

Instead of even waiting for his attack to complete, it covered the larger area of the distance between them...

Its head directly hit Ivar’s charging axe...

Ivar’s eyes widened, he couldn’t even believe the fact that a creature on the same level as him, couldn’t actually penetrate the flesh. The axe head, its sharp edge, didn’t even make a dent on those scales. He noticed a faint energy concentrated barrier on top of it... but even that shouldn’t have been the issue here.

He was pushed back.

Ivar flew across the field and almost crashed into the ground. He made a somersault mid-air and charged forward again...

The land croc, charged too. It ducked the giant axe and let Ivar pass by, only for its tail to come swinging at him. Ivar blocked the attack with the axe, had to take the recoil in and balance himself.

He saw as a small scratch on the surface of the axe from the metal spikes on the tail.

"Fucking hell... just how strong is this thing..."

And the clash continued.

Ivar was literally bouncing in the air. Purely in terms of raw strength, he was on the losing end. He just couldn’t match it no matter how much he tried.

And that’s new for Ivar.

He was never the one to lose in raw strength. He might not be the strongest among the managers, but in terms of brute force, he was always the best among his peers.

But here he was getting his ass kicked by a reptile.

Ivar grew frustrated with every passing moment.

"Motherfucker..." He caught a hold of the incoming tail. The land croc didn’t even feel a bit threatened by it, instead, it just whipped its tail, along with him clung to it.

It brought him close to its mouth, ready to chomp on him.

Ivar swung his giant axe into its mouth. It landed right in the middle of two teeth. In the gap, lodged into the gums and made it bleed.

*HISSS*

The land croc screamed in pain. It tried to shake off the axe, but it couldn’t do it no matter what.

It swung the tail up and down, and Ivar refused to let. The moment he landed on the ground, he immediately used all the strength that he could muster up and swung the creature to the side.

The land croc which was already moving in an erratic manner... lost its freaking balance.

Ivar found a footing, and he started swinging the land croc around...

It rummaged through the plain, raging the ground, destroying the grass-field. After swinging it three to four times, Ivar let it go, making it crash into the ground. Before it could gain its footing back, he took out another battle axe and charged at it.

The massive swing landed on its inner leg, It wasn’t aimed at destroying it or cutting it down. Instead, he pushed it to the side, in a lateral way, which unlike humans, these reptiles don’t have much flexibility over.

Once the hit landed, even though the scales and flesh were intact, the massive creature was out of balance, a little bit.

And Ivar took the chance to swing his axe againt, but this time at the belly, on which it was about to fall on.

*CRACK*

Finally, there was a slight crack on the creature’s almost impenetrable defense.

When the reptile got its balance and was about to attack him, he dodged its arm swing and closed in. He dropped the axe and hugged the creature, with his palm dug into its broken scales.

His arm muscles were under extreme stress as he barabarically dug into the body. This other arm struggled to get a grip on its smooth scaly skin, so with that tight hug, he forced the creature to lose balance and land on the ground.

Then, he started kneeing, elbowing, clawing, and tugging the belly of the creature repeatedly.

He refused to let his grip go and once he got the upper hand, another axe appeared in Ivar’s hands. He swung it at its neck. It left a slight crack... then another axe, another one and another one.

It was such a barbarous brutish struggle between two brutish creatures.

.

.

.

Thirty minutes later.

Ivar sprawled on the corpse of the Land Croc as he panted heavily, with more than seventy five percent of his energy exhausted and a few scars on his body. He was drenched in blood and just wanted to sleep for a while.

It has been a long long while, since he had such a challenge and he knew exactly what Sam meant, when he said they would train here.
