Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1654: Got It, Stinky Man
When Autumn York called, Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher had just walked into a restaurant, and neither of them had had the chance to order yet.
Both of them were surprised and puzzled to receive Autumn York’s call, as they had just spoken with her in the morning. They had a friendly conversation and lovingly planned to meet in the evening.
"Who missed you?" Autumn York retorted without hesitation.
Alice Turner was not affected by Autumn York’s bad temper at all and kept smiling brightly, "Of course it was you, Mom, who missed me."
"I didn’t call to listen to your banter. Be serious," Autumn York said in a very serious tone.
Because she couldn’t see her mother-in-law, Alice Turner wasn’t sure of her current state but felt from her tone that her mother-in-law probably had something to discuss with her.
"Mom! Whatever you want to talk to me about, just say it. I’m listening." No matter what it was, she needed to correct her attitude first.
Thomas Fisher was browsing the menu. Hearing Alice Turner’s words, he looked up at her sitting opposite and simultaneously reached out to take the phone next to her ear.
Seeing a hand suddenly reaching out towards her, Alice Turner raised her free hand to block it and signaled with her eyes for him not to interfere.
Autumn York couldn’t see the situation on the other end of the phone, so she didn’t know what was happening on this side. Her tone was very earnest, "When are you planning to tell Benjamin Shaw about your marriage with Thomas? You don’t have any other thoughts, do you?"
Her mention of "other thoughts" did not include the idea of getting back together. She understood that much clearly.
"We were thinking of talking about it after some time, at least after he is discharged from the hospital." Alice Turner hadn’t expected Autumn York to bring up this subject, and was surprised but relieved at the same time.
Hearing this, Thomas Fisher immediately understood what Autumn York and Alice Turner were discussing, and his tense nerves relaxed instantly. He withdrew his hand from trying to take the phone and continued to look at the menu.
Autumn York seemed to understand Alice Turner’s thoughts, and after hearing what Alice said, she didn’t dwell on the matter further, "I understand, then I won’t disturb you any longer. Goodbye!"
The call ended quickly, not giving the person on the other end a chance to say goodbye.
After Alice Turner finished the call, Thomas Fisher had already placed their order, and the waiter left with the menu.
"My mom just called to ask about that?"
Thomas Fisher got up and walked over to sit beside Alice Turner. After sitting down, he naturally took her hand.
Alice Turner was not surprised why Thomas Fisher would ask like that and nodded honestly at him, "Mom seems very worried that I’m mistreating you, and I also..."
"You’re not mistreating me. Don’t ever think that again." Before Alice Turner could finish her sentence, Thomas Fisher decisively interrupted her, wrapping her hand even tighter within his fingers.
Alice Turner rolled her eyes at the man without any decorum, but the corners of her mouth carried a smile, "Got it, you annoying man!"
"Annoying man? Am I annoying?"
Thomas Fisher dragged his chair closer to Alice Turner. When their shoulders touched, he stopped moving his chair.
He tilted his head to look at the woman beside him, his face full of mock threat and warning.
Alice Turner giggled, "You’re not annoying, but you’re my annoying man."
