Chapter 1544: I’ll Listen to You, Waiting at the Hotel

After Alice Turner took care of her beloved car, Thomas Fisher sent Anthony to one of his apartments. To help Alice Turner relax and not worry about Anthony, he also went to the supermarket to buy a lot of food and some daily necessities for Anthony.

After settling Anthony, Thomas Fisher immediately contacted Alice Turner, who was taking a taxi back to the hotel at the time.

"Just go straight back to the hotel, you don’t need to come over to pick me up." Running around is such a hassle, she didn’t want him running back and forth aimlessly.

"I’ll listen to you, I’ll wait for you back at the hotel."

After hanging up the phone, Thomas Fisher drove back to the hotel, waiting in his room for Alice Turner to return from outside.

Finally sending off that troublesome person, he wanted to fully enjoy their sweet time together.

But sitting in a taxi returning to the hotel, Alice Turner had completely different thoughts and plans.

She was always planning on how to protect Anthony’s safety and how to safely and smoothly send Anthony back to the Derry Kingdom.

From afar, Alice Turner saw that woman loitering at the hotel entrance, and her brows furrowed instantly.

This time, she wasn’t trying to avoid that woman.

Alice Turner got out of the taxi and walked toward the woman.

The woman seemed to have noticed her approaching, and turned around to look at her.

Seeing the woman turn to look at her, Alice Turner raised her hand and waved at the woman, an ambiguous smile on her face.

"Hello! We meet again, are you waiting for me here?" Alice Turner smiled as she walked to the woman’s side, but there was no smile in her eyes, only coldness.

The smile on Alice Turner’s face appeared to the woman as blatant sarcasm, with a hint of provocation.

"Yes! I am waiting for you here." The woman did not deny it and admitted it straightforwardly.

Alice Turner deliberately played dumb and began a long-winded speech, "What are you waiting for me for? Is it because I took your kettle at the restaurant?"

"What is it? Did your boss criticize you? Or did he dock your pay? Or even fire you?"

"Your boss is so strict, isn’t he? You..."

The woman couldn’t listen any longer and interrupted her sharply, "Stop pretending here, tell me! Where did you hide Anthony?"

Reacting quickly after returning to the hotel, the woman ran upstairs to look for Anthony, only to find, as she expected, Anthony was no longer in the room.

She asked the waiter, but they all said they didn’t know.

She then went downstairs to ask the front desk, but received the same answer, unable to get the information she wanted to know.

During this encounter with the front desk, she clearly felt that these people were dismissive of her and evasive in their responses, yet on the surface appeared amicable and polite.

Seeing those people’s insincere appearances, she instantly realized these people must have received special instructions from someone.

Upon hearing the woman’s words, Alice Turner continued to play dumb, "Oh, you’re looking for Anthony? Who are you? I’ve never seen you before."

"That’s not right!" Alice Turner suddenly furrowed her brows, "Didn’t you see Anthony at lunch? You two didn’t talk to each other, did you dress up like the waiter, and he didn’t recognize you?"
