Chapter 1538: Feel Free to Command and Use Me

Seeing Anthony’s determined attitude, Alice Turner rubbed her forehead in frustration. With Thomas Fisher still by her side, she couldn’t persuade him further.

"Can you two stop speaking in riddles? I want to know exactly what’s going on," Thomas Fisher said, getting up to sit on the other side of Alice, grabbing her arm and pulling her closer. "Alice! I want to know what you two have encountered."

His expression turned serious, and his gaze was not only filled with curiosity but also deep inquiry.

"It’s nothing..."

"Don’t use those earlier lies to brush me off."

Before Alice could finish, Thomas promptly interrupted her, earnestly reminding her not to deceive him like before.

Did she really think he didn’t notice anything? Was he that naive?

A woman who pursued him all the way from the Derry Kingdom is here now. Since she’s already here, what’s the point in hiding and disguising herself like a ghost?

Alice took a glance at Thomas. Seeing his demeanor, she knew he had figured out something.

"Those things I said earlier were true, my sister didn’t..."

"Shut up!"

Anthony was intent on preventing Alice from revealing the truth. He didn’t care whether Thomas would be angry or not; he interrupted before Alice could speak.

However, Thomas was angry, very angry. He glared, ordering Anthony to shut up.

Thomas looked at Alice, waiting for her to tell him the truth. Her evasive attitude was really hurtful to him.

She clearly said she needed him earlier, but now she’s acting like this. Her quick change in attitude was really hard for him to accept.

Alice was touched by Thomas’s words, and the grievance in his eyes struck her heart. She pressed her lips together and said, "We’re facing some troubles now."

Seeing Anthony remain silent, Alice continued, "The woman seen in the surveillance isn’t Jacob’s admirer. That woman is here to kill Jacob."

The woman carried an aura of danger; Alice clearly felt it when she snatched the water bottle earlier.

"That woman is here to kill him?! Why would she want to kill him? Did he deceive her feelings?" Thomas self-consciously filled in the details, hearing Alice say the woman came to kill Anthony. All he could think was that Anthony deceived her feelings, hence she would come for revenge.

But to kill someone because of a broken heart, isn’t that too horrifying?

Were they in a horror film or something?

Alice was annoyed by Thomas’s imagination, tapping his arm, "Can your imagination not be so wild? You might as well stop managing the company and become a scriptwriter."

After speaking, she rolled her eyes at him, annoyed.

"That’s a good idea. In the future, you manage the company, and I’ll become a scriptwriter. That way, you won’t have to work for anyone else anymore." Receiving the suggestion to change careers just made Thomas breathe harder, and his imagination truly ran wild.
