Being stabbed in the heart by Song Mo hurt like hell. Damn it, game over once again.

Looking at these people, who were dressed like the FFF Inquisition, Ning Shu felt that Song Mo should have been tied up and burned along with her. They were all about punishing ‘dogs in love,’ so why was she the only one tied up while Song Mo was part of the Inquisition?

Ning Shu felt this was unfair!

She looked at the sinisterly smiling Song Mo. Damn, with a smile like that, how is anyone supposed to trust you? You look like a villain.

She felt her body growing colder as the blood drained out. It looked like she was going to die again.

She didn’t even know how many times she had died by now.

“It’s better for me to just end this for you now, otherwise you won’t be able to handle what’s coming,” Song Mo said, before plunging the knife into her chest again.

Ning Shu gasped in pain. “I thank you. I thank you and your whole family.”

“You’re welcome,” Song Mo said.

“What are they going to do?” Ning Shu asked while coughing up blood.

Song Mo replied, “They’re going to turn you into a mummy.”

Ning Shu: …

“Why!?” She spat a mouthful of blood onto Song Mo’s face. She was done with his nonsense!

“It’s a ritual.”

“So you cleverly killed me, but why didn’t you cut the ropes?” Ning Shu felt completely broken. She felt death approaching—a floaty, light sensation, yet bone-chillingly cold.

Song Mo fell silent.

When Ning Shu woke up, her quilt was hanging off the side of the bed, and she was frozen to the core.

It seemed she was dreaming again. She could seemingly respawn infinitely. It was like a dream, but her sense of time and space was completely distorted.

It was as if one dream followed another, but in reality, she was always in a dream, having completely lost the ability to distinguish between reality and illusion.

Ning Shu felt like her brain was broken!

Song Mo was a total idiot!

She quickly pulled the quilt back up and wrapped herself in a ball. It was too freaking cold!

However, she felt something ice-cold inside the covers. It made a sharp hissing sound. Ning Shu flipped the quilt back to find a large snake coiled in her bed, flicking its tongue at her.

Surprise! Are you happy now?

Ning Shu stared down the snake, which was about as thick as her arm. It looked ready to lunge and bite her.

She woke up her roommate in the next bunk. “Do you see a snake on my bed?”

“What snake? Where would a snake come from?” The roommate, dazed from sleep, was annoyed at being woken up. She glanced at Ning Shu’s bed; there was nothing there.

Ning Shu was at a loss.

Was she hallucinating?

She scanned the snake with her spiritual consciousness and found nothing on the bed. Her eyes were deceiving her again. She was starting to suffer from severe hallucinations.

Ning Shu reached out and grabbed the snake by the neck. “Go ahead and bite me if you have the guts!”

The snake immediately sank its fangs into her wrist. She felt a sharp pain as venom was injected into her skin.

She remained expressionless. Let’s see if you can actually poison me to death.

Ning Shu tossed the snake aside and looked out the window at the moon, which hadn’t changed at all.

In this world, some things were fixed. Even if you knew it was a fake world, you couldn’t escape it if you didn’t know how to get out.

Ning Shu sat cross-legged on the bed, her chin in her hand. This back-and-forth was getting nowhere. She couldn’t keep dying and reviving like this.

Each death felt real. Having that sensation over and over again would eventually drive anyone insane.

As for that moron Song Mo, his words were basically untrustworthy.

His actions were also contradictory. One moment he was telling her to trust him, and the next he was plunging a knife into her chest. He was a lunatic!

She couldn’t just passively endure this torture anymore. she had to take the initiative to solve the problem.

Ning Shu pulled out her phone and called Song Mo. She had to find a breakthrough through him.

However, it was still early. She lay on the bed and tried to piece the whole thing together from start to finish, not letting a single detail slip by.

Why was the entrustor trapped here? There had to be a reason. And what was the purpose of these individual illusions?

Song Mo said she was hypnotized, but she suspected it was more than just that.

Song Mo… the man with way too much screen time.

He moved freely through these illusions and kept appearing suddenly.

He seemed to have entered this illusion to rescue her.

Ning Shu just gave a cold laugh.

She decided to force her soul out of her body. In her soul state, she drifted out of the window and toward the sky. The moon grew larger and larger until Ning Shu actually slammed into it. It was like hitting bulletproof glass.

She reached out to feel the sky. A layer of something covered it, enveloping the entire world.

In other words, conventional methods wouldn’t let her escape.

God only knew what this place was.

Ning Shu used her soul power to manifest an axe. She swung it at the sky with all her might, putting every ounce of effort into a strike that felt like it could split the heavens. She looked like a god or a demon, but it was useless. Instead, the rebound force sent her soul flying back into her body.

What kind of world was this?

Was it the conscious world of the entrustor?

But how was she supposed to get out?

When her soul slammed back into her body, Ning Shu spat out a mouthful of blood.

Son of a…

She clutched her chest. It ached, as if she had truly been stabbed twice. The soul shock left her body in agonizing pain.

Ning Shu felt that the entrustor had already lost herself in this world. She was either crazy or an idiot.

All the torture was meant to break the entrustor and turn her into an actual walking corpse.

But what was the reason? What was the goal? Everything that happened must have a cause and a purpose.

Ning Shu thought until her head throbbed, but she couldn’t figure it out. If nothing else worked, she felt she would have to use brute force to destroy this illusion.

However, her soul was in such pain—it felt like it was being burned by fire. It was likely a result of touching the world’s barrier.

This kind of pain and despair was enough to destroy a person’s will and hope for life.

The next morning, Ning Shu found Song Mo. The moment she saw him, she thought of the two stabs he’d given her. Even though it was fake, it had felt incredibly real, and the pain had been genuine.

Ning Shu looked at him with a beaming smile. Seeing her forced, unnatural grin, Song Mo asked, “What is it?”

Technically, he had stabbed her while she was dreaming, so he probably knew nothing about it.

“I think I need to know a few things,” Ning Shu said.

“Know what?” Song Mo asked, looking puzzled. “What’s wrong?”

Ning Shu: …

Sometimes he acts like he knows everything, and other times he knows nothing?

“Hypnosis,” Ning Shu said.

“What hypnosis?” Song Mo asked in surprise. He was clearly baffled by her sudden questioning. His confusion looked very genuine.
