Chapter 3347: I Dreamed of You
Chapter 3347: I Dreamed of You
“Mom, I dreamed of you more than ten years from now, holding me and crying.”
“Alright, stop chattering,” Ning Shu’s mom interrupted. “I think you slept yourself silly.”
“Ning Shu, you little brat, hurry up! If I’m late and get punished, you’re dead meat!” Ning Shu’s second brother shouted from downstairs.
“Coming!” Ning Shu slung her backpack on. Her mom stuffed some money into it. “If you’re hungry, buy something to eat at school.”
Ning Shu nodded and ran downstairs.
“Behold, my unsurpassable martial arts!” As soon as she reached the bottom, she struck her second brother in the chest.
Her second brother, holding a basketball, didn’t budge an inch. He looked at her with a puzzled expression as she placed her hand on his, uh, soft chest.
“Did you sleep yourself stupid?” He flicked her forehead.
He was dressed in sportswear, and when he glanced at his digital watch, his expression changed. “Crap! It’s already this late? We have morning reading with that tyrant teacher!”
He grabbed Ning Shu and dashed out of their small villa. When they looked outside, no one was at the door.
“Damn it, Ning Rong ran off again!” Ning Yao quickly pulled out his bicycle and motioned for Ning Shu to hop on.
She climbed onto the back seat while he pedaled furiously, the wind whistling past.
“Brother, I had a dream about you,” Ning Shu said.
“What?” Ning Yao asked without turning his head.
She sat behind him, waving her hands dramatically. “I said, I had a dream! In my dream, I was insanely powerful!”
“Yeah, yeah, just a dream. You really are dumb,” Ning Yao huffed as he pedaled, finally catching up to Ning Rong, who was leisurely riding his bike.
Ning Shu suddenly realized how casually their parents had named them—Ning Rong, Ning Yao—together, it spelled honor and glory.
“Ning Rong, I always have to drag this little brat around. Next time, it’s your turn,” Ning Yao shouted at his older brother.
“I’m about to take my high school entrance exams. My time is precious,” Ning Rong said lazily.
“Bullshit! I saw you give up your seat to a girl last time,” Ning Yao immediately exposed his brother’s dirty secret.
Ning Shu: …
“Who’s the brat?” She put her hands on her hips. “I’m going home to tell Mom you’re dating early!”
She pointed at her eldest brother. “Am I not better than those girls outside?”
Ning Rong glanced at her. “No, you’re not.”
“You were totally different when you grew up! You were mature and responsible! I can’t believe you’re actually like this,” she accused.
“Are you still not awake yet? When did you gain the ability to fortune-tell?” Ning Rong snorted. With a quick turn of his bike, he disappeared.
“Damn, Ning Rong is such a jerk!” Ning Yao pedaled hard. “Can you eat a little less? You’re so heavy the bike can barely move!”
“I didn’t even eat breakfast!” Ning Shu protested.
She looked up. Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the roadside trees, dazzling her eyes.
She raised her hand to shield herself from the light.
She really had a strange dream. She had no power to shake the heavens and the earth, no fortune-telling abilities.
She had nothing. She was just an ordinary child, an eleven-year-old girl.
That had just been a dream.
“Second Brother, I dreamed that I became all sorts of people, and I saw so many handsome guys—way more handsome than you and big brother,” Ning Shu said, gripping his shirt, looking lost.
Was she dreaming now, or had all those past experiences been a dream?
Which one was real?
Screech—Ning Yao slammed on the brakes and turned to stare at her. “Are you okay? I think there’s something wrong with your brain.”
