Protect Our Chief
Chapter 1237 - 8: Wang Family’s Great Sinkhole! The Scarlet Moon Emerges (Part 3)
He had a distinctly prominent hooked nose, and deep-set eyes, yet he didn’t come across as particularly sinister; rather, he bore a touch of refinement. His luxurious purple robe added a touch of nobility to him, making him appear extraordinary. Even if he just stood there casually, people couldn’t help but feel a sense of reverence.
"Deputy Sect Leader."
Upon seeing him, the patrolling disciples straightened up immediately, hastily bowing in salute.
As it turned out, this middle-aged man in purple was the acting Sect Leader of the Yin Sha Sect, Yin Fengtu.
With Sect Leader Qee Hongzhao in seclusion, he was the one overseeing all affairs in the Yin Sha Sect.
Of course, the internal structure of any large organization cannot be that simple; there were still quite a number of Divine Power Realm heavyweights in the Yin Sha Sect. The reason Yin Fengtu could become the principal figure was that he was the disciple of Sect Leader Qee Hongzhao, and among many disciples under him, he was currently the strongest.
"Has there been any unusual activity in the Yin Sha Hall lately?" Yin Fengtu nodded and casually asked.
"Reporting to the Deputy Sect Leader, there has been no unusual activity."
Yin Fengtu nodded: "Go ahead."
"Yes, Deputy Sect Leader."
Not daring to neglect, the disciples immediately patrolled earnestly.
Yin Fengtu stood motionless, quietly looking at the small hall in front, a hint of worry in his profound eyes.
Ever since his Master Qee Hongzhao went into seclusion, he would often come here. Yet, his Master has yet to emerge from seclusion, and often he would also stand for a while and leave.
This time, he really had something to report, yet dared not disturb.
After standing silently for a while, he sighed, preparing to leave.
Suddenly.
A powerful aura burst forth from the direction of the small black hall, sweeping across the vast surrounding area in an instant. The heavens and the earth changed, even the sky seemed to darken slightly.
The patrolling disciples, who hadn’t yet gone far, shivered, almost kneeling down directly.
"Master!"
Yin Fengtu’s expression brightened with joy, and he quickly flew out, landing on the small square in front of the hall.
Just as he landed, the doors of the small black hall opened, and a figure walked out slowly.
It was a dignified middle-aged man.
He wore a pristine white robe, and although he appeared middle-aged, he still looked charming and graceful, enough to captivate countless young maidens.
However, at this moment his entire being was enveloped in a dense aura of Yin Sha evil qi, so concentrated that it almost became tangible, appearing extremely eerie.
His eyes, as black as ink, seemed to contain hidden whirlpools, bearing an indescribable terrible intimidation.
Looking at him, it felt as if facing an abyss.
"Greetings, Master."
Yin Fengtu bowed hastily, a fervor and joy in his gaze toward the middle-aged man. Now that his Master had emerged, he felt a backbone, and his heart instantly steadied.
"Ah, Fengtu~ During my century of seclusion, has anything significant happened within the Yin Sha Sect?" The middle-aged man glanced at him and spoke leisurely.
This white-robed middle-aged man was, of course, the Sect Leader of the Yin Sha Sect, Qee Hongzhao.
The only Lingxu Realm powerhouse in the Yin Sha Sect, a terrifying existence capable of altering the heavens and the earth.
"Reporting to my Master, everything in the Yin Sha Sect is as usual, and nothing major has happened." Yin Fengtu paused, "However, over at East Qian, the Struggle of the Imperial Sons unexpectedly ended early, and it involved some smuggling issues, causing a prince of Southern Qin to fall, with many of our previous undercover agents being compromised, resulting in significant loss."
"Oh?" Qee Hongzhao’s expression barely changed, "What about our people?"
"Our people didn’t suffer much loss as they hadn’t had the chance to act yet." Yin Fengtu replied respectfully.
Qee Hongzhao nodded calmly: "Since Yuanyou ascended the throne, Southern Qin has been restless, thinking themselves the best, unwilling to heed advice. It’s good to have them suffer some losses this time."
"If Longchang and Jiang Zhencang were really that easy to deal with, how could the war between the three kingdoms have remained stalemated till now?"
"Master is wise." Yin Fengtu cupped his hands, then reported another matter, "Additionally, we have received news from the Demon Dynasty recently, stating that an important figure from the True Demon Hall is about to arrive here, instructing us to make preparations."
"An important figure from the True Demon Hall?" Qee Hongzhao slightly furrowed his brows, "Did they specify which important figure it is?"
"They didn’t specify, only saying there’s an important matter to be completed within the East Qian Kingdom’s borders, requiring our assistance." Yin Fengtu replied respectfully.
"I see." Qee Hongzhao nodded and instructed casually, "Convene the Grand Elders of the various veins of the Yin Sha Sect under my name for a sect meeting."
"Also, go to the Imperial Palaces of the Jin and Qin Countries, inform Emperors Yuanyou and Yanqing, inviting them to the Yin Sha Sect, stating that I have important matters to discuss."
"Yes, Master." Yin Fengtu bowed respectfully, "I will personally make a trip to the Jin and Qin Countries later."
After speaking, he stood aside, continuing to listen to his Master’s orders.
Having given these instructions, Qee Hongzhao fell into deep thought.
The Demon Dynasty is far away, and although there’s been interaction in the past, it mostly involved trade, with rarely any powerhouses traveling between the two places. Anyone referred to as an "important figure" is likely a Lingxu Realm Demon Monarch. Such figures usually need to oversee a place, not leaving easily.
If it wasn’t for a genuinely crucial matter, even the True Demon Hall wouldn’t dispatch a Lingxu Realm Demon Monarch to the Yin Sha Sect.
This is only the second time he has encountered such a situation since inheriting the Yin Sha Sect.
This time, who could be coming?
And what matter could entice the Demon Dynasty to send a Lingxu Realm Demon Monarch?
This time, it’s likely that a storm is brewing.
"Fengtu, is there anything else you wish to report?" Sect Leader Qee Hongzhao of the Yin Sha Sect asked, slightly furrowing his brow.
"Reporting to my Master, there’s another good news I haven’t reported yet." Yin Fengtu said.
"Oh, let’s hear it."
"Twenty years ago, while out on an errand, I encountered a Loose Cultivator female. However, as you hadn’t emerged from seclusion, I could only take her on as a Registered Disciple first." Yin Fengtu earnestly said, "I request Master’s permission to take her as a Direct Disciple."
Qee Hongzhao slightly furrowed his brow, "You certainly know that Loose Cultivators are typically difficult to investigate, usually only serving as ordinary disciples and cannon fodder. If she’s a spy, how would you deal with it?"
"She’s definitely not a spy." Yin Fengtu stated firmly, "Because her talent is exceptionally extraordinary, no one would employ such a person as a spy."
"In what way?" Qee Hongzhao raised his brow, having seen many geniuses in his life, few could measure up to him, Qee Hongzhao.
"A Profound Ice Yin Sha Mutated Demon Body, unparalleled celestial pride level talent, and above all, a Pure Yin Body." Yin Fengtu’s gaze showed slight excitement, even his formerly sinister expression softened somewhat. That registered disciple was truly too exceptional.
Qee Hongzhao paused, his expression turning from serious to excitement and joy, eventually bursting into laughter: "Good, good, good! The treasured disciple I’ve awaited for three thousand years has finally appeared."
Hold on, Master, that’s my disciple...
The smile on Yin Fengtu’s face froze instantly, filled with a foreboding sense.
