Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 1923: Revenge Is a Bitch (8)
Monarch Solran was indeed handsome by all standards.
He appeared young, but everyone knew he was much older than he looked. Aside from that, he commanded a very powerful presence, almost as if the sun was him and he was with the sun.
More accurately, it felt like he was the sun.
That was because he indeed possessed an affinity for the flame element, and his go-to style of attack was a manifestation of the sun. Perhaps that was his Dao, or he just chose to make that his style of attack and display of power.
Regardless, he had managed to earn his name and even joined the ranks of the Monarchs who oversaw the operations of the Grim Arcane Legends.
The moment he appeared, a smile spread across his face, and he said, "Thank you all for coming. A million years ago, we met like this to celebrate my 9-millionth birthday. Back then, I had just become a Primordial and had been promoted to the rank of Monarch.
Just like that, a million years have passed, and I am now more powerful and have done so much more for this humble organization. So, since we are all here today, I wish to say thanks for coming, and enjoy yourselves, for I have made sure today will be the best day of your lives."
Claps and cheers rang out. Many had indeed come for the celebration and also to cement their relationship with the Grim Arcane Legends.
But before that, they had to enjoy themselves first, of course, and handle business later.
Monarch Solran raised his hand to calm the cheers down a bit... He looked at a carriage large enough to fit ten people and smiled before he added.
"Of course, as many of you have heard, I have indeed planned to take in some bed warmers who would keep me company for the next 1 million years until we meet again," he laughed, and thousands laughed with him.
"That said, today is for merrymaking, and so we will make merry. And with that, I announce the start of today’s celebration. May you all have a great time."
He jumped down from the golden qilin and walked to his seat, making sure he bowed toward Monarch Voron before he sat down. The moment he did, dancers filled the place, and cheers rang out.
A few minutes later, thousands had already started presenting their gifts, and that went on for a while. After that, the lady who announced the arrival of the five monarchs appeared and started introducing some powerhouses who had come for the event.
After introducing over 200 people, over 50 of whom were Pseudo-Primordials, she finally arrived at three others, each a Primordial and no weaker than any of the five monarchs.
"We have with us today Lord Marcus, the patriarch of the De Marcus Great Family and a member of the Universe Council." A man with red eyes and pale gray hair stood, smiling and waving his hand.
He then turned and nodded at the five monarchs, who returned his nod.
Among the seven Great Families in the Eastern Celestial Zones, he ranked among the top 3 when it came to power and authority.
He might appear to be in his late 60s, but his strength was formidable, and his membership in the Universe Council showed that his power was to be feared.
"We also have with us the Patriarch of the Weyori Great Family, Lord Weyori." Yet again, cheers rang out. A man clad in a monk-like robe smiled and nodded.
He was not really a monk, considering he didn’t read the scriptures of heaven and Buddha, as all monks do.
He was just fascinated by the way of life of monks, so for years, he started to dress like them. He was also a Primordial and perhaps the most elusive of them all.
When his gaze met Monarch Voron’s, they shared a small smile, a look that didn’t escape Lord Marcus’s gaze. He clenched his fist under the table but held a smile on his face.
"Old Marcus, I never knew I would see you here today. The last I checked, you were pissed when someone suddenly abducted one of your estranged daughters," Lord Weyori said, a mysterious smile appearing on his face.
Lord Marcus smiled, but inwardly, he was cursing Lord Weyori for saying such a thing. He was indeed pissed when he learned that Inkala had been kidnapped.
After all, he had plans to wed her off to a business partner for profit, so despite maintaining his distance, he kept a close eye on her.
Safe to say, he wasn’t pleased back then.
"I was only angry since I had plans to give her to Monarch Solran as his birthday gift. Safe to say, when I found out he was the one who took her, I dropped the matter," he smiled and nodded toward Monarch Solran before flashing a grin at Lord Weyori.
Lord Weyori smiled and said, "Very insightful of you, Marcus. Very insightful indeed."
The announcer smiled and turned to the last person. "Finally, I would like to introduce Sect Master Zhai of the Nine Thunder Devastation Sect."
The place went quiet, thousands of people focusing their attention on a middle-aged man clad in a full-body green robe, his eyes closed and dark green hair falling down his shoulders.
Ten swords hovered behind him, each oozing terrifying lightning qi.
Those who had heard of him before felt beads of sweat form on their foreheads. After all, this man was someone who had dominated many battles, the most dreadful of which was the Flame Battlefield during the Flame Era.
He was someone whom many compared to legendary warriors such as the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith, Kael Duskbane, and others.
He had earned his name in combat, and so even the Universe Council held him in high regard, mainly because if one day this universe was threatened, he was someone they would want to fight for them.
They once called him the Ten Death Sword God when he roamed the God Realm, slaying demons and humans with his ten swords.
"I didn’t know Sect Master Zhai himself would be gracing us with his presence on my 10-millionth birthday," Monarch Solran said, a smile and pride showing on his face.
Even Primordials know when to show some respect.
Sect Master Zhai slowly opened his eyes and smiled. "If I don’t come, how else would I enjoy the fun?"
BANG
A bang suddenly came from somewhere in the void.
CRACK
A crack formed, and through the crack, a child spoke...
"Oh dear, I hope I am not too late."
