Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 1880: Kaizo’s Regret
[Legion Tower]
A portal opened inside the Legion Tower, and Kaizo, alongside the rest of the Undead Legion, walked out, each radiating killing intent.
The moment they appeared, the rest of the Legion members currently present inside the Legion Tower surrounded them.
Kaizo had deliberately told his teammates to keep their killing intent active so that the moment they appeared, they would cause a scene.
Safe to say, as they were being surrounded, what he had envisioned came to pass.
In fact, it went beyond what he had envisioned, for the moment they were surrounded, Vexthra and her sisters also appeared inside the Legion Tower, each coming to welcome them.
Of course, sensing the intense killing intent emanating from them, they all felt like there was a lot to unpack.
Naturally, that worked in Kaizo’s favour, for he planned to exaggerate most of the things they had experienced in the Undead Realm just to make everyone jealous.
But as they say, he wasn’t prepared for what happened next...
"Kaizo, buddy, how I missed you... especially during the Dark War," Unity said with an evil grin, instantly wiping the smug expression off Kaizo’s face.
He even stumbled, his foot slipping slightly as the words Unity had practiced for weeks finally came out...
Back during the Dark War’s Kaizo and the rest sensed that something big was going on back home... something they are missing big time.
So Unity’s words were like a needle to his heart.
"You did WHAT?" the poor Undead General, who back in the Primordial Era had killed many Void Generals, asked, his gaze practically begging for more context.
Unity, of course, didn’t deny him those details...
"So after you guys were gone, Kent went missing for fifty days. When he returned, he came with a war unlike any we have participated in. In fact, it is the biggest one yet, even more chaotic than what we experience when we face Ant King Ketu.
Long story short, we finally faced the Dark Empress and her millions of Dark Fiends and defeated her. I faced many Supremes, killed three of them and severely injured a Celestial.
In fact, we were just about to view the rankings and see who in the Legion had the highest kill." Unity smiled and walked closer, wrapping her hand around Kaizo’s trembling hand.
"No need to be sad, Kaizo. I am sure another battle will soon show up soon...or not."
"Damn it."
Kaizo gritted his teeth, dark circles appearing around his eyes.
Everyone who knew just how much Kaizo loved battles and, most importantly, how much he loved to show off to Kent could tell the poor Undead brute had been broken by Unity.
They knew the two had this rivalry whenever they fought together, so Unity teasing him was clearly within her rights.
What many, except a few, knew was that behind the line, Zaila and Adina were using their abilities to influence Kaizo’s mental stability and emotions, causing him to be affected more than he should have been.
’I think we may have spoiled Unity too much,’ Vexthra said telepathically to the rest of her sisters, who nodded, knowing she was indeed overdoing it.
However, judging by how annoying Kaizo could be sometimes, teasing him was surely within reason.
"Okay, that is enough." Pandora stepped in just when Kaizo was nearly drawn to tears. Zaila and Adina deactivated their powers, allowing him a chance to breathe and gather his thoughts.
Unity smiled and teleported away, knowing Kaizo would challenge her to a duel once he realized she had used underhanded means to get under his skin.
Luckily for her, just before Kaizo could straighten his thoughts, a portal opened, and Kent, alongside Mjolnir and the Second Flame Matriarch, walked out.
Everyone turned to face them, for they sensed two dangerous individuals had arrived inside the tower.
Luckily, before any of them could go on high alert and enter battle mode, they noticed that the two individuals who had come were with the master of the tower.
Kent smiled, seeing that everyone he wanted to see had gathered in one place...
"Well, something seems to be lively here," he said, watching as everyone stared at him and the two behind him.
It turned out even the Second Flame Matriarch hated to rot in chains for all eternity, so after a much deeper soul search, she agreed to Kent’s request and swore the Oath of the Flame.
Right now, she was as obedient as a cat.
She had agreed to lead Kent and his Legion into the Flame Realm. While she categorically made him aware that she would not lift her weapon against any of her kin, she was willing to lead them there to try and conquer the flame realm.
She had her bottom line she would not cross.
Of course, there was a chance Kent would perish in that ordeal, resulting in her freedom. So she took a gamble, hoping it would pay off.
Kaizo stepped forward, a frown painting his otherwise handsome face.
"Master, what you did wasn’t fair. You waited for us to go on a mission before bringing a mega war to our doorstep."
He complained, still feeling pained at not being part of the Dark War.
Kent laughed and patted his most hardworking subordinate on the shoulder.
"Sorry, buddy. I had wanted to summon you over, but you were occupied at the time, so I didn’t. However, fear not, for a much bigger battle is on the way, and I am sure you are going to enjoy it."
Kent turned and pointed at the Second Flame Matriarch.
"Everyone, meet the Second Flame Matriarch, one of the most dangerous Flame Demons you will ever meet in your life. She and I go way back, and well, as old friends, she has agreed to lead us into the Flame Realm, where we will conquer it completely."
The Second Flame Matriarch flashed a murderous look at Kent, but she couldn’t do anything to harm him. In the end, she smirked and turned around.
Unfortunately for her, somebody else had no plans to allow her the peace of mind she needed.
Ruby grinned back at her, her broadsword drawn and battle intent burning in her eyes.
"So we meet again, Second Flame Matriarch," she said, the grin on her face widening.
For a moment, the air became cold. Then it erupted into chaos, flames and intense heat spreading everywhere.
"Blood Fox Demoness."
The Second Flame Matriarch muttered, her killing intent mixed with flame intent, pushing Kent and everyone else back...
"Oh, I am going to enjoy this."
Ruby moved, and the next moment, the entire Legion Tower shook.
