Kent felt waves of overwhelming strength surge through his body the moment his Chaos Lightning awakened.
At the same time, the crimson lightning descended.
"Let me test your power."
He raised his hand and opened his palm, causing dark red lightning to surge around his arm. He controlled it, forming a terrifying claw.
The bolt of crimson lightning shot straight at him and landed on his open palm.

A powerful explosion rocked the space, shaking the ground and distorting the air around Kent. Many who had already sensed the danger of the violet lightning and distanced themselves moved even farther back when the powerful shockwave swept over them.
They felt their blood boil, and a wave of panic slammed into their bodies.
However, the one at the receiving end of such devastating lightning merely felt a minor zap that vanished the next second.
But as if that wasn’t shocking enough, the message that appeared before his eyes made him grin.

’Lightning Runes? What are those?’ Kent muttered inwardly, but he was forced to turn away from the system interface and look at the pill that had begun releasing waves of a sour yet nourishing sensation.
On its surface, he saw that the violet pill ring had turned completely crimson, while the five remaining Azure pill rings had all become violet.
The moment this mutation ended, the pill flew into the air. Once it reached a sufficient height, it released a sharp cry, and a golden glow surrounded it.
Beneath it, a golden lotus appeared, and a golden dome appeared around it.
Once that was done, Pill Immortal Flura was also lifted off the ground.
Before she could resist the force pulling her, her vision darkened. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself standing before a massive green tablet carved from ancient jade.
Seventeen names were engraved upon the stone.

At the very bottom was Kent’s name, engraved neatly into the stone.
A smile formed on her face when she saw her own name beginning to appear in the eighteenth position. A few seconds later, the engraving was complete.
At that moment, she became the eighteenth alchemist in history to be recognized by the Pill Dao.
All across the universe, bells rang within every Pill Council headquarters, announcing that a legend had emerged on the path of alchemy, someone who would forever carry the pride and glory of alchemy upon her shoulders.
"Congratulations, young Alchemist. You are the eighteenth person to have accomplished the impossible. For that, I have recognized you and will reward you," a voice came from the Pill Dao Tablet.
Flura smiled and nodded. "I will be glad to receive whatever the Pill Dao has for me."
"Good," the tablet said.
A beam shot from it and landed on the badge on Flura’s chest.
Visibly, her Pill Immortal Badge transformed into that of a Pill God. But after the badge transformed, it glowed for a few seconds. When the glow finally faded, the badge had turned golden.
This showed that she had been promoted to a Golden Badge Pill God, just one level below Platinum Badge.
"For your second gift, I will bestow upon you a technique called [Pill Life]. It is a technique that allows you to give life to your pills, enabling them to grow indefinitely."
Another beam emerged from the tablet and merged with Pill God Flura’s forehead. Waves of information regarding the technique poured into her mind.
At once, she understood the technique completely, almost as if she had been studying it for millions of years.

Her eyes widened as she examined the contents of the technique.
From what she knew, pills became sentient from Tier 18 onward. This meant they gained intelligence, and with enough pill rings, they could even transform.
However, aside from that, they were still fundamentally pills. They could not grow stronger or rank up on their own. Yet, with the technique she had just received, she could make a Tier 22 pill grow into a Tier 23 pill and beyond.

She smiled, and perhaps noticing the joy on her face, the Pill Dao Tablet decided to pour some cold water on her excitement.
"You must know that not every pill can be made alive. That said, the pills that can be transformed into Living Pills will be revealed to you when they pass their tribulations."
Pill God Flura did not let the condition sour her mood. This was a victory in her eyes, so she accepted it with grace.
"Now for your third gift."
A beam emerged from the tablet yet again and merged with Flura’s forehead.
"It is another technique, but this one is a Pill Ring Refinement Technique. Master it, and one day you will be able to refine high-level pill rings."
"Thank you, Senior Pill Dao."
"You are welcome. Now go back and make me, and the world of Alchemy, proud."
A beam descended from the heavens and enveloped Flura’s body.
Everyone rose to their feet, and clapping and cheering filled the space as they celebrated the successful ascension of one of their own.
Throughout the history of Alchemy, only a handful of people had ascended the natural way. One of them was the Mad Alchemist, who had turned out to be Kent Madson all along.
Now, she too had become a Pill God through natural ascension.
Compared to other Pill Gods, she could be considered a true Pill God. After all, she had ascended through the natural path, meaning the Pill Dao itself had acknowledged and approved of her.
The light dissipated, revealing her figure once more.
When everyone’s eyes landed on her golden badge, they gasped.
"She just ascended, and she’s already a Golden Badge wielder. What a monster."
Many people began muttering among themselves, some even wondering what the implications of this development would be once the Pill God Council learned that an Immortal had become a Pill God and had been promoted to Golden Badge status on the very same day by the Pill Dao.
Pill God Flura had no intention of paying them any attention.
Instead, she flew into the air and appeared beside Kent, whose focus remained on the pill currently cocooned within the golden dome.
"Congratulations on becoming a Pill God, Flura," Kent said, flashing a charming smile.
Flura nodded and approached the pill. When she stood directly before it, she extended her hand and touched the dome.
A few seconds later, she withdrew her hand and smiled.
She turned to Kent and spoke.
"I will trouble you to protect me for a few minutes. There is something important I must first handle."
"Don’t worry about anything. I won’t allow anything to happen to you."
Flura nodded, sat down in a lotus position, and began forming hand seals.
Kent walked back and sat down as well, preparing to review the messages he had received.
However, he had barely finished pulling up the notifications when dark clouds began to gather overhead.
A few minutes later, fifteen Demigods emerged from within them, forcing everyone present to their knees.
’And here they come.’
Kent grinned as a wicked light appeared in his eyes.
