Chapter 1583 Baldy's Big Brother
From how the slap came to how it ended, everyone wondered just who the bald kid is. There was no Celestial energy around him, so they couldn’t tell if he was also a Celestial King or even higher.
However, to succeed in slapping a Celestial and even leaving a handprint, all four Celestial Kings—Rueno included—felt some sense of danger as they watched Baldy dive into the ordinary-looking man’s arms.
A few gods who were present when Baldy appeared and saved Kent months ago recognized him. However, they did not expect the bald kid to be this brave.
Baldy rested his head on the man’s chest, a smile on his face.
The ordinary-looking man wore a smile, a clear sign that he was happy to meet Baldy. He patted the kid on the back.
“Big brother, I miss you so much,” Baldy said, pulling his head back. “Where have you been all these years? I learned you appeared during the Flame Era briefly; after that, nobody ever saw you again. Where did you go?”
The ordinary-looking man smiled and brushed Baldy’s head. “I have been here and there, experiencing the life of mortals over and over again.”
Baldy said nothing; that was because he sensed a killing intent directed at him. Turning around, he pointed up and muttered, “Cleaving the Heavens and Earth.”
With a simple slash of his finger, a sword arc separated the clouds and descended on Celestial Rueno, whose expression grew tense in an instant.
Without hesitating, he slapped his bag of holding, and a red scale appeared. Pouring his energy into it, he made it float over his head and expand.
BANG
The sword arc slammed onto the red scale, sending Celestial Trueno to drop to his knees, his left arm shattering.
Gasps spread all over the place. Inaya and her sisters felt like they had underestimated Baldy. While it was perfectly normal for them to assume he wasn’t strong enough to face a Celestial King, now that he had shown his power, they finally realized the kind of monster Kent left behind to protect them.
As the sword arc dissipated, a ragged Celestial was revealed, his clothes torn in more than one place.
“I know all four of you are here with motives. While I wouldn’t care much about that, I am under strict orders from my Big Brother to protect Big Sister, so go back and come when my master returns.
Trust me, taking a step back now would be the most logical decision any of you would ever make. But then again, you can try your luck and see if you won’t end up more miserable than him.”
The three Celestials said nothing, but the look on their faces made it clear they had taken Baldy’s offer. They wouldn’t want to throw their lives away.
As Celestials, they had gone through Early Celestial, True Celestial, and Celestial King, yet they had never met a monster like this kid.
In fact, in their honest opinion, even a Celestial Emperor or Celestial Monarch would find it hard to contend against this bald kid.
“As my little brother said, it would be good to take a step back. Our big brother would not take kindly to any of you if he returned and found out you four made it so Big Sister Inaya didn’t have a smooth ascension.”
The ordinary-looking man stood up and lifted Baldy onto his shoulder. The sword he sat on transformed into a mist of energy and merged with his body.
Perhaps to make everyone aware of the danger they were in, he allowed them to sense a wisp of the energy as it merged with his body.
“Sword Will.”
“He is a Sword Celestial.”
Shock filled the place as many finally understood where the danger was coming from. It wasn’t that Baldy and the ordinary-looking man were weak; it was more like they were too strong for anyone to sense their power.
At least, that was what they all thought when, in fact, calling the ordinary-looking man a Sword Celestial was actually downgrading him, to say the least.
If a True Sword Celestial were to appear now, they would tremble in sheer terror, for the man is no simple person.
“Big Brother Han, create a formation for Big Sister to form her Supreme Platform,” Baldy said, and Han nodded. He took one step forward and appeared only a few meters from Inaya.
“Pleasantries later. For now, let’s make sure you become a Supreme.”
Inaya nodded and sat down. She had seen enough to know she was in good hands.
Baldy jumped down from Han’s shoulder and glared at the Celestials, and a few others he suspected were there to cause trouble. In his eyes, even if ten more Celestial Kings were to appear, with his brother around, nothing would happen to Inaya.
Vexthra and her sisters moved to Inaya’s side. Now that they did not have to worry anymore, Vexthra knew she had to be extra careful, too.
The last thing she wanted was someone slipping their intent into Inaya’s soul sea during the critical phase of her cultivation.
If she had to guess, the motive some of the Celestials came with had to do with the seven primordial beasts she had contracted. They wanted to hold her Supreme Platform hostage as a way to pressure her to give them up.
However, now that Han and Baldy were standing guard, they had nothing to worry about.
“Are you ready?” Vexthra asked, holding a triangular-shaped item.
“I am ready.”
She nodded and retrieved a green stone from her space ring. “This is a Dao Stone. I planned to use it when becoming a Supreme; however, it is not needed now. You can have it.” She handed the stone to Inaya, who didn’t argue and received it.
It would be weird if she rejected such a gift. If she used it well, she might just gain insight into her ten emotions.
“My Supreme Platform was 100,000 km wide and had five layers. If yours is not at least three times mine, I will be very angry, Inaya,” Ainna said, giving her friend and sworn sister a hug.
“I will do my best,” Inaya smiled and returned the hug.
“Don’t worry, Master, we will share our Dao insight with you. It would help you see much deeper into the Dao and make good use of the Dao Stone in your possession.”
Because Black Fang wasn’t around, since he was reforming inside Inaya’s soul sea, the six Supreme Beasts formed hand seals, and six concepts of the Dao moved from their foreheads and merged with Inaya’s.
“Thank you, guys. I will be sure to live up to your expectations.” They all nodded with smiles.
Han pointed his finger up, and a formation materialized over Inaya’s head. “This is a Tier 98 formation. Unless ten Celestial Supremes attack it at the same time a thousand times, not even a crack would form in it.”
Inaya nodded and closed her eyes.
Han smiled. ‘Absolute Intent, huh. Looks like there is someone capable of achieving that in this universe,’ he thought to himself, feeling a familiar energy inside Inaya’s body.
As someone born from a strand of Eternal Sword Intent, his understanding of every aspect of the sword is absolute. Baldy failed to tell Kent that he, too, can use Absolute Sword Energy. If he did, Kent would have trouble teaching him.
However, Baldy believes his big brother has what it takes to accomplish that on his own.
BOOM
A minute after Inaya started the Supreme Platform formation process, a powerful energy burst out from her body, and a ten-colored sword dao concept appeared behind her.
