Chapter 1434 Paragon's Overpowered Gift
Chapter 1434 Paragon’s Overpowered Gift
“Sup dude, it is your big brother Paragon writing.”
“I knew it,” Kent smirked.
Bello gave him a curious look but said nothing. He knew the scroll contained something important to Kent, considering that with a mere glance, he came to such a conclusion.
He knew the person who wrote the scroll.
Kent had his suspicions, but he didn’t dare voice them.
The stronger the Soul Universe became, the more his suspicion grew that Paragon was pulling strings behind the scenes.
After all, he was the one who gave the Soul Universe to him, so it was only right that it had such an overpowered nature.
The Paragon is like the outlier of the rules.
Kent himself knew sometimes, he didn’t play by the rules. However, unlike the Paragon, he is bound by the rules to some extent. He can’t go wield like Paragon.
Also, instead of hating him, the heavens actually like him.
However, when it comes to the Paragon, the heavens hate him, and as such, he always does things that will piss them off. The Soul Universe is one of such things.
However, because the heavens love him, they didn’t see it as a slap in their face. If anything, they are happy Kent has something this powerful.
In the grand scheme of things, it will aid him in what is coming.
The only thing was, while the Soul Universe is already overpowered, Paragon keeps pulling strings in the background, making it even more overpowered.
One of such strings was what he was about to read.
“I know you keep wondering just how someone can be both handsome, intelligent, and overpowered at the same time. In my defense, I never asked for any of it, but since we are here now, I can only say that when it comes to making things that don’t make sense, I excel.
My first job and reason for living is to piss the heavens off. They hate me, but they love you. So I decided to make things easy for you by giving you an edge. That was why I decided to include this mural among many others inside the Soul Universe. I always believe that when the right tools are given to the right person, they make good use of them.
On that note, I hereby introduce the Mural of Calamity. It is the only painting of the Calamity Dao that I met a very long time ago during my exploration of an unfriendly universe.
Let me tell you, that trip nearly cost me my life and the life of a friend of mine. He is blind, by the way, but he can see better than anyone. One dangerous bastard who just doesn’t know when to stop.
When we met the Calamity Dao, we had a nice conversation that lasted 200 years. When we finally managed to escape thanks to another friend of mine, I decided to paint this to house the inheritance of Calamity.
I had no use for it because I am a Paragon, and my two pals had their own inheritances, so I decided to send it to you.
I know you are a True Primordial, which means you already have a Dao. But since you happen to have some relationship with your universe, I suppose bestowing it on one of your subordinates will be fine.
If they can bypass the restrictions on it and come face-to-face with Calamity, I can guarantee they will become a valuable asset to you.
Of course, there is a good chance they will die, so pick the right one. Also, Calamity is in a way related to you, so be sure to send him my regards when you meet one day.
That will be all. Good luck, and be sure to make good use of this mural. Who knows, we will meet again soon enough.
Oh, say hi to my pal Kaizo for me. Tell him we will pick up where we left off the last time.”
Kent continued to stare at the contents of the scroll for a few minutes before a sigh escaped his lips.
“Too much to process right now.” He turned and looked at the mural for a few more minutes before he turned to Bello.
“I have some good and bad news for you. Which one do you want to hear first?”
“Good news.”
“Okay. The good news is that this mural contains the inheritance of the Calamity Dao. Whoever can inherit it will become a legendary warrior. However, the bad news is that there is a chance you would die before
inheriting it.”
“Oh, that explains the strange door I saw inside the painting”
“What door?”
“There is a door standing at the center of the space where I comprehended the
Space Law. It has seven locks on it, which, now that I know what is contained within the painting, I believe are seals that must be broken to access the inheritance.”
“I suppose you have a point. However, until we know what those locks are, we cannot risk it.”
Bello thought for a moment, then asked, “Does that mean I can’t use it to improve my understanding of the Space Law?”
“You can use it. However, don’t touch the locks for the time being. I will do some more research and see what I can find. Once I manage to establish a good understanding, we will see where to go next.”
“Okay, Master”
Kent nodded.
Although the Mural of Calamity sounded like a priceless treasure, there is just
no way he would mess around with it. Paragon warned him of how dangerous Calamity was, so he would be cautious.
He also hinted that he has some connection to the Calamity Dao. This information brought his mind back to what the Tower said when he asked
about the painting of the bow.
According to her, the bow resembles the bow wielded by the Calamity King. If
Paragon said he had some connection to Calamity, could it be that he was the
Calamity King?
Kent suspected as much. After all, he has already uncovered memories of legendary lives he had lived, and he is aware he has lived 13 such lives, so there must be some connection here.
He knew Chaos lived during the Primordial Era, where he fought the Void
Beasts.
Jest/Lord Genesis lived during the Divine Era and fought the Foreign Race.
Faceless Assassin lived during the Shadow Era and fought the Shadow creatures/fiends.
Ruthless Bandit lived during the Dark Era and fought the Dark Creatures.
Pill Celestial Kevin Sage lived during the Ice Age, where he fought the Ice
Demons.
Now, there is the Calamity King, whom he knew lived during the Calamity Era. He had no knowledge of that era yet, so he couldn’t tell if he was the Calamity
King.
But since Paragon gave him a clue, he knew there must be some truth to it. Maybe he was the Calamity King who, in a way, had met the Calamity Dao.
If that were the case, then uncovering the secrets of the seven locks would be easy. But he would have to put a pin in that for now. He has a much more pressing matter to handle.
He turned away from the mural and decided to review Bello’s profile. After all, that was the main reason he came there.
