Chapter 1399 Heaven's Daughter
Chapter 1399 Heaven’s Daughter
“Every Era, the heavens send their daughter to the land of mortals to
experience what they never had the privilege to. They are basically born and left to fend for themselves.
During the Dark Era, the heavens’ daughter was someone who had never known peace, not even once. So when the dark creatures came, she fell.
However, her death was the signal that many had been waiting for. They always say that when the heavens’ daughter dies, the end of an era has come.
It wasn’t always the case, though. From what I have read, the heavens’ daughters are more than signals to announce the end of an era. They are fortunes left by the heavens to those who recognise their worth and take advantage of what they bring.
Basically, the heavens, in their bid to make sure every era ends in their favour, left their daughter with all kinds of good fortune that can only be used by those who know what they are looking for.”
“So they are like wishing pods. You wish for something, and they give it to you,” Camilla asked, but Uncle Drew shook his head.
“No. She is a good fortune, in the sense that if you have her around, good things will happen to you. They take all the bad and turn it into good for you.”
The ladies nodded, finally getting something to work with.
They are now aware that the heavens’ daughters are always unfortunate souls. Beings who are probably tired of this life.
They may be the daughters of the heavens, but she lacked the fortune the
heavens have. They were basically born to suffer. So there is a chance this one is the same, too.
That, in a way, would narrow things down a bit.
But yet still…
“The scope is too big. From what Uncle Drew said, the heavens’ daughter wouldn’t know her true identity, so it isn’t like Lani can ask her when she sees her.
We need something that can narrow the scope down to a more structured format. This way, we can easily create a good rescue plan,” Vexthra said.
Her sisters nodded at her words. They were still nowhere near finding ways to locate the heavens’ daughter. If they knew what she looked like, perhaps that would narrow things down a bit.
“Uncle Drew, is there something else you can tell us that will help narrow this down for us?” Ingrid asked.
“Nothing much. But you must know that the heavens’ daughter didn’t die during the Divine Era. She grew and became a goddess. Later, she vanished and was never seen again.”
“What was her name or title or divinity?”
“I believe she was called the Goddess of Love and Passion.”
Vexthra’s eyes widened. Selene and a few of her sisters, who had learned about her life before she became the Goddess of Hatred and Resentment, also had surprised looks on their faces when they heard what Uncle Drew said.
They knew that before she became who she is now, she and her twin sister had plans to become the goddesses of love and passion. That was the divinity they planned on comprehending.
She would comprehend the Dao of Love, and her sister was to go for the Dao of Passion. Then, when the time came to attain divinity, they would merge their Daos and become the goddesses of love and passion.
But she died before that time could come.
So hearing that Heaven’s Daughter was once the Goddess of Love and Passion took her aback. It may be nothing, or it could be something.
First, she had a question.
“Can it be that Heaven’s Daughter reincarnates every Era?”
“I think so. From the forbidden records, it was recorded that the heavens created their daughter using everything they had, and so there is no reason for them to create a new one every era.”
“If that is the case, then I think locating Heaven’s Daughter would be very simple,” Vexthra said with a smile, causing her sisters to look at her wildly.
“How so?” Lilian asked.
“Very simple. We just have to send Unity with Lani. More accurately, we need to send the Goddess of Love version of her with Lani. I believe she will be able to resonate with the heavens’ daughter”
“Big sister, are you saying Heaven’s Daughter is the reincarnation of your twin sister?” Selene asked, her heartbeat rising.
“I am not one hundred percent sure, but based on what Uncle Drew said, there is a chance it would be her. I would have gone with you, but I have a feeling this Death Note mission will not take kindly to you having a god as your aid.
Who knows what kind of calamity mission it would spawn next time for you? So you will go with Unity. If she is indeed the reincarnation of my sister, there is a 100% chance she will resonate with her, and you can easily reach her.”
“That will be great for sure,” Miryssa stepped in again. “However, how are we going to handle the elephant in the room-you know, the killing of the True Immortal part?”
Uncle Drew grinned from the side and said, “From where I stand, you need only two people to handle the killing part. Since Lady Lani is the one to do the killing, then how about we create the perfect condition for her?”
He turned toward Adina. “You are a succubus, right?”
She nodded.
“I am not a seer, but I can see that bastard falling head over heels when he senses extreme Yin Essence. Since the mission is to be carried out in a room, you two just have to sneak in and let Lady Adina charm him.
I am sure he would fall for it, and well, the rest will depend on how you want to
kill him.”
Uncle Drew is just like Kent. He has a plan for almost anything. Just now, he came up with three plans that could help Lani complete her mission.
The plan he had just said has the highest success rate.
“Uncle Drew is right, though. I can charm that bastard even if he is an Immortal Lord. But I need access to the room for ten seconds.”
“That can be arranged,” Lani smiled, forming a hand seal. A few seconds later, a couple of runic texts started appearing in the air. Within a minute, the air was filled with thousands of runic texts.
“One of my many abilities is converting tangible things to shadows. I will be entering the mansion as a shadow, so you two would just have to hide in my
shadow.
The rest will depend on how fast and silently I move.”
“Then it is settled. Lani will be taking Unity and Adina on this mission. Unity will
be in charge of saving Heaven’s Daughter while you two work together to kill
the bastard.”
“But there is the case where his death would trigger a war between the Dark Elves and the two other races,” Uncle Drew said, already thinking beyond the
mission.
Since the Dark Elves are predators of the Storm Humans and Red Foxes, there
is a chance that if the youngest Dark heir dies, they would turn their weapons
on them.
“That is simple. We just have to blame the kill on someone,” Vexthra said with a small grin.
“Big sister, who are we going to blame for the kill?”
“Who else…”
The ladies, including the legion, widened their eyes and started laughing.
Inside the Alchemy Tower, Kent sneezed a few times and said… “Somebody is
plotting evil against me…
