Among the many things Kent expected, he never saw the sudden attacks from the void coming. He truly was taken aback.
He saw Miriam get crashed to the ground when her sister took the palm strike for her. He also saw how Queenie lost her arm, and half her body was paralyzed.
He also saw how some of Paragon’s friends and wives used their bodies to shield the wives who had been attacked.
Then Paragon himself went down.
Kent himself saw death stare at him multiple times, but he endured, and thanks to how tough his body was, he managed to survive.
’If not for refining one Blood Life Seal, I would have died after taking the second strike,’ Kent said, feeling his healing abilities kick in.
“Kent, are you alright?” Elaine and some of his ladies appeared beside him while the rest went to check on Paragon’s wives.
Selene was even injured after she helped Lumia (the Devouring Serpent she talked with) take on the attack for her sisters. However, she wasn’t the main defender, so her injuries weren’t life-threatening.
Of course, she was hurt in more than one place. However, with her own healing abilities, she would recover. Her main focus was on her pal Lumia.
“I am fine, ladies.” Although one arm was broken, a leg was dislocated, and a few ribs were shattered from the violent attacks, Kent didn’t seem to mind.
Suddenly, the void cracked again, and the ladies went on the offensive. However, when they saw ten men chained and thrown out, they knew they had nothing to worry about.
Vexthra was responsible.

When the void cracked and the attack aimed at Miriam came, Vexthra tried to save her. But before she could, her surroundings warped, and she found herself staring at ten gods.
“I am afraid we cannot allow you to interfere in this battle,” one of them said, his expression teasing.
Vexthra turned and saw more cracks opening, attacks raining down.
With her advanced sight, she saw the attacks weren’t coming from the void, but instead, the void was being used as a channel to transport the attacks. The attacker was someone else entirely.
This made her extremely angry.
So she attacked, and the ten gods, although unwilling to fight her, knowing what she was capable of, also attacked. However, it became clear in the next few seconds that they came on a suicide mission.
“Although my husband hates slaves, he will be very happy to make you ten his first slaves,” Vexthra bashed the head of a god against a metal she summoned.
Then her sword moved, and the Law of Hatred trailed a clean line, cutting a wound into the god’s body.
“Your blood essence will become his source of strength, and your bodies will be meat shields he will hide behind. If you can’t become gods with integrity, then becoming a thing to wipe one’s foot on is your only path.”
In no time, all ten gods were suppressed completely, not even a single one of them having the means to resist.
Vexthra then channeled their own soul energy, forming chains from it to bind them. Afterward, she applied her Hatred and Resentment Law on the chains, fortifying them.
By then, two minutes had passed, and so she sent them back to Earth.
However, when her eyes landed on Kent, broken and battered, her heart skipped a beat.
Thankfully, Kent wasn’t severely injured.
“Are you alright?” she asked, and Kent gave her a calm nod.
“I am fine. Though I can’t say the same thing for my pal,” Kent pointed at Paragon, who was resting in the arms of a woman.
“Go check if you can save him. I will be there once I can walk,” Kent said before closing his eyes. He started making plans in his head while Elaine cast multiple healing spells on him.
He prepared for anything, but he never accounted for the heavens sending out such sudden attacks.
’Tower, any suggestions?’

Seven hours later, the process was completed successfully. Although Paragon hadn’t woken up, his life was saved from harm.
In the end, he only used seven gods, but it was enough to save his pal. His wives were also saved, and they would soon be waking up. However, Paragon’s injuries were too severe.
It would take some time for his soul to heal and his body to return to its shape. In other words, he was saved from death’s door, but he wouldn’t be waking up anytime soon.
But it was already good enough.
However, Kent wasn’t happy that he never got to have a chat with Paragon. He wanted to have a heart-to-heart with the Paragon and even ask for some pointers on how to defy major odds like he did.
In the end, he settled for recording a video message while his wives said their final goodbyes.
