Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 641 - 639: A Hug from Aunt Nerida
Chapter 641: Chapter 639: A Hug from Aunt Nerida
Jade glanced at Flora Corbin, then at the White Tiger cub she held, and gave a slight nod. ’The cub is quite cute, so sturdy and adorable.’
He reached out to pat Tiger Two on the shoulder and murmured a single word. "Congratulations." As he spoke, Jade waved his hand gently. Instantly, two Protective Dharma Treasures and several stalks of Spiritual Medicine materialized in front of Flora Corbin.
Jade spoke, "A welcoming gift for the cub."
Flora Corbin, holding her cub, froze. Her eyes fell upon the items. The Magic Treasures radiated a powerful aura, and as for the Spiritual Medicines, they were all exceedingly rare treasures. ’This Spiritual Medicine can refine one’s constitution and enhance their innate bloodline. It’s exactly what our cub needs right now.’
"No, no, this is too precious, Azure Dragon! We can’t accept this."
Jade said coolly, "Take them. They’re only suitable for a cub. I have no use for them."
Tiger Two was deeply moved. He clapped The Azure Dragon on the shoulder. "Thank you. I’ll never forget this kindness, Brother Azure Dragon. If you ever need anything, just say the word. I’ll be there, no matter the cost."
Jade: "That’s a bit of an exaggeration."
Tiger Two looked at Flora Corbin. "Honey, this is from Brother Azure Dragon for our child. You should accept it."
Flora Corbin laughed heartily. "Alright. On behalf of Tiger Two, thank you, Big Brother."
Tiger Two laughed. "I’ll treat you to drinks later!"
Jade nodded with a hum.
"Mm."
Seeing this, Vermilion, who was standing beside Aaron Sinclair, strode forward. "Azure Dragon, let’s fight."
Jade: "..."
"No."
"Don’t be so stingy! Just one fight!"
"No."
"Azure Dragon."
"No."
"Brother Azure Dragon."
"..."
"I haven’t had a real opponent in years. I can’t even go all out! I’m so pent up, I could just die. Just let me have some fun and get my fix. If I win, drinks are on me. If I get hurt, that’s my problem, it has nothing to do with you."
Jade was silent for a moment before nodding slightly. He spoke, "Fine. You pick the time and place."
Ruby was delighted. "Awesome! In a few days, then. We’ll find a place and have a proper fight."
Just as they were speaking, two figures streaked across the sky from the distance. In a flash, they landed before Aaron Sinclair.
As their feet touched the ground, they spotted Aaron Sinclair and immediately rushed toward him. The newcomers were Nerida and her husband, Aeron.
The moment Nerida saw Aaron Sinclair, her expression became as fond as a mother hen finding her chick. She hurried forward and threw her arms around him. "My Aaron, you’re finally back!"
Aaron Sinclair stood still, letting the woman embrace him. A smile spread across his face, his eyes filled with warmth. Verbally, however, he complained, "Hey! Aunt Nerida, you’re going to squeeze me to death!"
"Don’t be so dramatic." As Nerida let go, she gave him a light pat on the shoulder. "You’re a grown man now, but still as mischievous as ever."
Nerida grabbed both of his arms, tilting her head back slightly to look him up and down. "Not bad, not bad! Good boy, you’ve gotten taller again! Tsk, tsk. As expected of The Exalted One’s son. With how strong your body is now, even a full-force blow from me probably wouldn’t leave a scratch."
"Hehe, I doubt that. If Aunt Nerida were to spank me, I’m sure my butt would still be black and blue."
Nerida couldn’t help but laugh at his words. "Hahaha! Black and blue? As if I could ever bring myself to do that." She raised a hand to ruffle his hair. "My dear Young Master, I have more than enough time to dote on you. How could I ever bear to strike you?"
In all the world, besides his mother, Celeste Grant, the woman who doted on him most was undoubtedly the one standing right before him.
He looked the woman over, his words dripping with sweetness. "Aunt Nerida, so many years have passed and you haven’t changed a bit. You’re still so elegant and beautiful. In fact, I think you’re even more lovely now than before. If we went out together, people would probably mistake you for my older sister."
Nerida rolled her eyes at him and said softly, "Listen to you, laying on the compliments so thick you’d think they were free."
Aaron Sinclair smiled. "Not at all. I’m just speaking the truth. Aunt Nerida, you’re a great beauty. You’ve been beautiful ever since I was a little kid."
Nerida was so delighted by his coaxing that she couldn’t help but burst out laughing. She pinched his cheek. "Young Master, you really have a way with words. Any girl who falls for you in the future will surely be swept off her feet by that smooth tongue of yours." Her tone shifted, but the smile remained. "However... I do love hearing the honest truth."
Nerida couldn’t help but laugh at her own words.
Aaron Sinclair reached out and hugged her.
"Aunt Nerida, a hug."
Nerida patted his back gently. "My dear Aaron, your aunt missed you, too. All these years you’ve been away, I was always worried. I worried if you were being bullied, if you were eating well, if you had warm clothes. Seeing you safe and sound now makes me so happy."
Aaron Sinclair chuckled. "Hehe, I know. You worry about me like a mother hen protecting her chick, Aunt Nerida."
’A mother hen protecting her chick?’ An image popped into Nerida’s mind: a clucking mother hen with a little chick tucked under her wing.
The mental image was so vivid, she couldn’t bear to look!
She shook her head quickly. ’How horrifying.’ How could she, a formidable female demon who commanded wind and rain, be a mother hen?
She let out a dry laugh. "You brat. Here I am, a fair-skinned, gorgeous beauty, and what do you compare me to? I see you’re really asking for that spanking."
Aaron Sinclair twiddled his fingers. "Hehe, but isn’t it fitting? If Aunt Nerida is the mother hen, then I’m the little chick."
Watching the scene unfold, Aeron, who stood off to the side, couldn’t help but laugh.
"You two are hilarious."
Aeron had never met Aaron Sinclair before, but ever since getting together with Nerida, he’d heard her mention him constantly. Every time she did, her face would light up with pride, delight, and a touch of boastfulness. So, Aeron knew this was the child Nerida valued and cherished above all others. He was the son of The Exalted One and his lady, their Young Master. As the saying goes, love the house, love the crow on its roof. So now, seeing Aaron Sinclair for himself, Aeron felt a genuine fondness for him.
Aaron Sinclair was already a grown man, but in Nerida’s eyes, he was still just a child. Likewise, in Aaron Sinclair’s eyes, Nerida was his aunt—family, as dear to him as his own mother.
If any other man were hugging Nerida, Aeron would certainly have been jealous and displeased. But the Young Master was different. He was practically their own child; of course Aeron wouldn’t be jealous of his own kid.
Hearing the laughter, Aaron Sinclair looked up slightly, his gaze falling upon the incomparably noble Aeron.
The man before him was breathtakingly handsome. He had a tall, slender build, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. Dressed in azure robes, he had an aura as gentle as fine jade. His smile was like a bamboo stalk growing on a snowy mountain—peerless and otherworldly. His face was beautiful to a perfect degree; one had to admit, he was a fitting match for his Aunt Nerida.
If it were some ugly brute, he would have been utterly unworthy of the great beauty that was Aunt Nerida.
