Chapter 548: Chapter 546: Being an Ordinary Person for Once

His biological father is the Warden of the North.

His mother is the Princess Consort.

And his uncle is the reigning Emperor?

The information flooded his mind, and for a moment, Aaron Sinclair felt his brain couldn’t keep up. Just last night, he was the fake young master who had been kicked out of the General’s Mansion—a boy who, in the words of the real young master, didn’t even know who his own parents were.

It had only been one night.

Now he had a father, and a mother too.

And not only did he have parents, but they were members of the Royal Family.

Looking at the biological parents before him, Aaron Sinclair felt a complex mix of emotions he couldn’t put into words. Who would have thought that just a short while ago, he had been fighting with all his might just to survive? In the blink of an eye, his identity had changed to the son of the Warden of the North. He was now a member of the Crown.

Aaron Sinclair thought of the true young master from the General’s Mansion. He had said that Aaron deserved only to be trampled under his feet, to rot in the mud for the rest of his life with no hope of recovery. He claimed that he would be the high and mighty young master of the General’s Mansion with a bright future, while Aaron would be reduced to a beggar on the street, eventually becoming nothing more than a pile of withered bones in a mass grave.

It seemed he was destined for disappointment. ’I wonder what kind of look he’ll have on his face,’ Aaron thought, ’when the true young master of the General’s Mansion finds out I’m the son of the Warden of the North.’

At the thought, Aaron Sinclair couldn’t help but sigh. ’Status and all that is secondary,’ he mused. The most important thing was that he was finally reunited with his family.

He had a name and parents. From now on, he would no longer be a nameless child.

In truth, after learning he wasn’t the General’s biological son, he never planned to stay and take someone else’s place. He had always been strong-willed, not the kind of freeloader who expected everything to be handed to him. He never coveted what wasn’t his, confident that he could survive and thrive no matter the circumstances.

Aaron Sinclair had already made up his mind to move out and support himself. But in their hearts, they never even treated him like a human being. Worse, they saw him as a threat who would steal from their real son, and so they were determined to get rid of him.

But none of that mattered anymore.

He had found his family now. Having them was enough; those outsiders were insignificant.

Aaron Sinclair sat beside Celeste Grant and hugged her arm affectionately. "Mother, our family of three will never be separated again."

She reached out and gently patted his back.

"Alright, we won’t be separated. Your father and I will always be with you." ’Although...’ she thought, ’...we’re not a family of three, but a family of four. It’s just that my daughter isn’t here.’

A gentle smile touched Celeste Grant’s eyes as she thought of her precious daughter. ’That little rascal is probably off having fun somewhere.’ Ellie was still too young; bringing her to Elyndra would hinder her Cultivation.

The main reason was that she and Javier Sinclair would be staying here for some time. They had to wait for their son’s Primordial Spirit to return to its original body before they could leave. That meant they couldn’t bring their daughter with them for now. But with Nerida there, she wasn’t worried. They would just have to wait until they returned home for a true family reunion.

The place where this wisp of her son’s Primordial Spirit had descended to the Lower Realm was outside the jurisdiction of the Cultivation World. In other words, there wasn’t a trace of Spiritual Energy here; it was just an ordinary, ancient mortal world. It wasn’t connected to any cultivation regions, so the common people here had no way of coming into contact with Cultivation.

This was a world of martial arts and nothing more.

Here, even if someone managed to brush against the threshold of cultivation, they would only become an ordinary Daoist, capable of nothing more than a few Divination Skills.

After reuniting with their son, Celeste Grant’s family of three was in no hurry to return to Atheria.

Pyrewood wasn’t far from Atheria—only a day and a night’s journey by carriage. If they were to use Magic, they could arrive in an instant. But unless it was absolutely necessary, they wouldn’t use Magic in front of their son. Doing so might interfere with the normal insights he was meant to gain in Elyndra.

The arrival of a wisp of her son’s Primordial Spirit in this world was surely connected to his Cultivation in the Ice Coffin. Therefore, as long as they could guarantee his safety, they wouldn’t interfere too much with his life in Elyndra. Whatever their son wanted to do, whatever kind of person he wanted to become—those were his choices to make.

Now that they had their mortal identities in Elyndra, the couple would have to live as ordinary people for a time. In any case, their son was here, so they could just treat it as a vacation.

Celeste Grant’s family settled into the villa for the time being.

She planned to spend more time bonding with her son. After all, he was already eight years old when she found him. Even though they were his biological parents, he was bound to feel like they were strangers. She wanted to use this time to help him get to know them.

The days at the villa passed comfortably, filled with warmth.

On sunny afternoons, Celeste Grant would take her son shopping in the city, with Javier Sinclair trailing behind to carry their purchases. If they came across street performers, Javier Sinclair would lift their son up, letting him sit on his forearm with a single hand for support.

Just like today.

Right now, her son was perched on Javier Sinclair’s shoulders, watching a fire-breather performing in the distance.

"Haha! Daddy, I’m so high up! I can see everything clearly. Mother, that man is breathing fire!"

Celeste Grant chuckled.

’This mortal fire-breathing is just a trick,’ she thought.

’If you want to talk about real flames...’

’When her son’s father, the Archfiend, plays with fire, he can turn a person to ash in an instant. And the flame her own son cultivated is black and red, tinged with green. He even named it the Nine Nether Green Flame, which can incinerate anything with ease.’

’Thankfully, her son uses the Divine Artifact, the Purple Fire Tripod, for Alchemy. Any other Pill Furnace would probably be incinerated by his flames. The Purple Fire Tripod is much better; it’s a mature tripod that can even perform Alchemy on its own. And when it’s not busy, you can even use it to make hot pot.’

’Hot pot...’

’No, no, how did I get so sidetracked?’

’All I can think about is food.’

She looked at her son’s smiling face.

Walking beside them, Celeste Grant put a hand on her hip and pretended to be cross. "Alright, you two rascals. You get a great view, while I can’t see a thing back here. Are you picking on me because I’m short?"

How could a Cultivator possibly not see? She was just teasing her son.

Javier Sinclair glanced at Celeste Grant and reached out to pat her head. "You’re right, my love, that’s my mistake. Come, let me hold you too. Can’t have you saying I forgot about you while holding the little one."

Before she could refuse, his large hand wrapped around her waist, and he effortlessly lifted her high with one arm. The passersby who witnessed this chuckled.

Seeing the onlookers, Celeste Grant blushed.

"What are you doing, lifting me so high? Everyone is watching!"

He looked up at her, a smile playing on his lips.

"I’m just making sure you get the treatment a wife deserves."

Aaron Sinclair’s face was full of admiration.

"Daddy, you’re so strong!"

His dad could hold his mother with one arm and him with the other.

’One day,’ he resolved, ’I’m going to be as strong as Daddy.’
