Few minutes before the meeting:

Noah’s POV

Elias disappears down the hall and I lean against the same wall I had been pinned against to hold myself up.

Holy hell...

My trembling thighs are pressed together and my breathing is unsteady.

My left hand strays down my front.

It keeps going lower till it’s sliding down my chest, and for the love of everything good, I don’t know why I’m itching to put my own fingers where Elias’s fingers were.

My walls clench with the thought and just before I can do it, I hear the sigh of a woman, and I straighten up.

It’s Freya.

My eyes go round with the anxiety of being caught for the second time.

"My poor baby, look at what that man did to you" she says as she comes to me, walking with the same magnificence she used to walk with back at home.

It’s like she’s bringing a quiet cloud of judgement with her even without speaking.

"I..." I stutter.

I really really hope she didn’t see what I was doing.

"Are you okay?" she asks and I nod, her eyes are wet with tears of pity for me.

Oh goddess, I’m in big trouble.

Freya tips her head back, shuts her eyes, and says a quick prayer to the goddess to help her.

"Dear goddess you need to deal with these people for me, they’re making a mess of your precious Noah" she says with a soft and sad tone.

"I’m okay, Freya..." I say and she grabs my face.

"You’re flushed red, look at you...you’re burning up, come on, let me escort you to your room" she says, taking me by the elbow and leading me down the hallway.

"I’ll get you out of here, okay? I have a plan already" she says.

I don’t know what to say.

My mind is still all over the place. I’m still bouncing between wanting Elias’s hand on me, and hating the way he sees me like an object.

I’m not that kind of person who comes out of their feelings easily.

"Tip your head back for me, love" she says, and I do. She tuts softly and sighs again. "At least they aren’t scarring you, that will make everything hard" she says.

"W-what are you talking about?" I ask.

"Your father and I are working on a way to get you out" she dodges my question and I stop walking.

"My dad?" I ask and she nods, smiling at me with those watery eyes, "dad is working on a way to get me out?" I ask again and she frowns.

"Darling, you don’t doubt that your father loves you...do you?" she asks and I sniffle.

"They told me he was the one who brought me here, that he sold me for..." I stutter, not sure how to continue talking.

"You believed them?" Freya gasps and I shake my head.

Of course I didn’t believe them.

I never believed them, but hearing that he’s working to get me out makes me feel...a rush of happiness that almost feels sad.

"I didn’t believe them" I whisper.

"Don’t listen to their lies. Remember, they’re devils and I’ll get you out. Okay? Till then, just...play the part, deceive them and in no time you’ll be saved" she hugs me.

I put my arms around her waist and melt into the hug. I’ve always loved hugs, and I miss being hugged like this.

"I have to pretend" I ask and she pulls away from the hug to look at me.

"Yes dear, just pretend. The goddess has a good plan for you, okay?" she says.

Does the goddess know I liked having the devil’s fingers inside me? Does the goddess know that I got butterflies in my stomach just from looking at Elias? Does the goddess know?

"In the meanwhile, darling, don’t tell anyone, that you’re no longer a virgin, not even your father, okay?" she grabs my arm as she says those words and I wince in pain.

Her grip is strong and painful.

"But..."

"Trust me, okay?" she says and I nod.

"Good night, Noah" Freya kisses my head and pushes me into Elias’s room.

I stumble in and I’m immediately wrapped in the warm light of the room and the dominant smell of the alpha.

I don’t move further in yet, so I stand by the door, and as I wrap my arms around my midsection, I hear soft murmuring from outside.

"He’s no longer a virgin?" a male voice asks.

"Shut up, don’t tell anyone" Freya hisses.

"They’re going to kill you if they find out"

"I said shut up, what is wrong with you?" Freya’s voice snaps.

She lowers her voice again, but I strain my ears to listen in.

"The Stiles and their freaking virginity kink signed the contract since he was little" she hisses.

Huh?

The Stiles? Who is Stiles?

I hear the noise of feet shuffling as they eventually leave the hallway and I move away from the door.

My head feels light as I slowly come out of the headspace Elias put me in earlier. What we’re they talking about?

It can’t be about me...right?

The door opens suddenly, startling me, and shutting my confused thoughts down.

Elias walks in without looking at me. The alpha breezes past me, unbuttoning his shirt as he walks into the bathroom and I follow him with my eyes.

He seems really tense...tense in a different way from when he held me against the wall.

I move to the bed and sit on the edge of it, waiting for him to come out and give me the order of the day.

"What are you doing?" he asks when he gets out of the bathroom in his sleep clothes, a blue shirt and matching blue pants.

"I’m waiting for you"

"Go to bed, Noah. I don’t have your time" he says, going to his wardrobe to pull out a traveling bag. He places the bag on the floor and starts to throw clothes into it.

It looks like he’s packing for something.

"You’re...leaving?"

"We’re traveling" he responds.

"We?" I ask and he sighs, turning his head to look at me with a pointed stare.

"I appreciate silence, Noah. That’s why I have more objects than people in my room" he says coldly.

Without saying anything to him, I lay on the bed, keeping my back turned against him and lying on my side.

"I wish I had married Roman before all of these" I say under my breath and Elias stops moving.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing" I say, pressing my lips like a petulant child.

The silence in the room didn’t give me room to predict the next action. I didn’t expect Elias to flip me over. The alpha makes me to lie on my back, straddling me and making me to look at him.

"What. Did. You. Say?" he asks.

"I was just joking!" I gasp, putting my hands up to push him off, but he grabs my hands instead.

"You’re testing me"

"I said I wish I had married Roman before you showed up and messed my life up" I yell.

"Roman as in Roman Stiles, isn’t it?" he asks and I nod before I realize.

Wait...

"How do you know Roman’s full name?" I ask a beat too late.

Elias looks at me darkly and gives me no answer to that question.

"Sleep, we leave before 6 a.m" my crazy captor turned forced husband says and I can’t help but wonder...

Did I just put Roman in trouble?
