Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator
Chapter 1210: Mysterious Physique
Arena.
The number of people is indeed four or five fewer than yesterday.
Baimu looked around carefully and found that those who didn’t come were all the ones planning to travel, while those truly wanting to learn from him were all there.
Importantly, the few he favored hadn’t left.
That was enough.
“Everyone, before we start the afternoon class, I need to announce something important!” he loudly called the scattered crowd.
Otsuka and others were the most enthusiastic, quickly approaching with excitement, while others looked at them with somewhat complicated expressions.
Baimu couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow and ask, “Did you battle?”
“We did battle!”
Otsuka nodded with a grin, “We only lost one match! Won all the others!”
The one who lost the only match pouted, seemingly complaining in secret.
Indeed, they battled…
Baimu wasn’t surprised that the arena Trainers would initiate Pokémon battles with Otsuka and the others, considering these guys usually had an air of—”you’re just playing with our leftovers,” which was pretty annoying.
Since hitting them wasn’t an option, using Pokémon battles to take them down a notch was one of the few way to feel better.
Ying Ma was obviously defiant as well, being one of the ones bitten the most by Lycanroc the previous day.
But they only lost one match.
He looked towards the arena’s gathered Trainers, feeling quite amazed.
And apparently hearing Otsuka’s boastful recount, many people instinctively turned their heads away, not daring to meet his eyes, while Ying Ma kept his head down the entire time.
Baimu wasn’t about to let that guy off: “You lost too?”
“Uh? Uh, well… “
Ying Ma instinctively looked up, nervously glanced around, then scratched his cheek, “Something like that.”
What does “something like that” mean?
Do you think Otsuka is just a lackey, making it especially shameful to lose to them?
He chuckled and didn’t press Ying Ma further, then looked around at everyone and announced loudly, “This morning I went to Silicon City, where I met Master of Battle Mountain Bartas and Gym Leader Zhengyi of Silicon Arena.
“As Mr. Kendall said yesterday, why don’t I challenge these strong Trainers when I’m so good? So I went and challenged them.”
“Hahaha—”
The crowd broke into good-natured laughter, and the bald big guy Kendall shook his head with a wry smile, knowing his words spoken in a vulnerable moment might become a major stain in his life.
“As it turned out, Master Bartas is incredibly popular and with so many challengers, I didn’t get a chance. But I did manage to battle with Gym Leader Zhengyi—and won! It also made me realize Trainers in Ore are no weaker than outsiders!”
Baimu observed their varied expressions and continued: “To let everyone experience this insight deeply, next week Gym Leader Zhengyi will bring members from Silicon Arena and Trainer Training Center to Pyrite Town for an exchange battle. At that time, not just me, you all will battle them too!”
The words barely fell when the Trainers burst into shock.
Silicon City Trainers coming to Pyrite Town for an exchange battle? That was something unimaginable in the past.
Can they win?
Not likely!
“Don’t be too tense, it’s just a Pokémon battle. I only have one request from you: if you win, you win, but if you lose, understand why you lost! If you don’t want to be looked down on by Trainers from Silicon City, then work hard for this week!”
Baimu left them with those words, then gestured to the outside.
A few Lycanrocs dragged in a large cart filled with folding tables, chairs, and some machines.
The arena Trainers immediately covered their butts upon seeing the Lycanrocs, while others had odd expressions, and Ying Ma quietly moved to the back to avoid being called out.
“Don’t worry, this afternoon we’re learning theoretical knowledge, no competitions—”
Baimu grinned, his white teeth sending shivers to everyone there, even Ayana had a strange look: “But I need to check how much of the competition knowledge from yesterday you still remember.”
Devil!
This devil!
Everyone shivered in fear, and the arena felt like a high school classroom descending, with heads bowed, afraid of being called on.
He pointed to the sneaky Ying Ma and smiled: “Ying Ma, why don’t you set an example?”
“Why me again!”
Ying Ma raised his head in utter grievance; you can’t keep picking on one Wooloo to sheer!
Baimu solemnly said: “Because you were the former Gym Leader of the Underground City arena! Ying Ma, a Trainer should always dare to take the lead, especially with such foundational Pokémon knowledge!
“Why did you go traveling? Isn’t it to become stronger! Or are you planning to leave next week and not be part of the exchange with Silicon City?”
Ying Ma gritted his teeth but couldn’t find any words to argue back, he could only mumble: “Fine, I’ll go! You’ve already said everything…”
Mumbling, he stepped forward.
Interestingly, although he had a look of facing “death,” when Baimu tested his Pokémon knowledge, he narrated it without any hesitation.
“Not bad. You passed the test.”
Baimu nodded watching his stunned expression.
Ying Ma asked in disbelief: “That’s it?”
“That’s it? Want to go another round?” Baimu raised an eyebrow.
“No, no, this is great!”
The young man immediately waved his hand with a laugh, stepping back with residual fear on his face, “So you’re really just asking what you asked yesterday…”
He thought Baimu was preparing to pick on him again.
Seeing this, the arena Trainers collectively sighed in relief; it seemed this Rainbow Team leader wasn’t planning to make things difficult for them any further.
