Pokémon: My Greninja Has Minato Namikaze’s Skills?!
Chapter 520: Makes an Example
Seeing that the students were still standing around complaining instead of running, the instructor flew into a rage.
The students' expressions changed. They could only swallow their anger and set off around the track.
When Quincy saw them finally obeying, a mocking grin spread across his face.
"Hmph... elite prodigies, huh?"
"Before me, Quincy, even the biggest hotshot learns to keep their head down."
"Hmph, hmph... You'd better know your place. Otherwise, I have plenty of ways to deal with you."
"I'll run you into the ground if I have to..."
Quincy chuckled coldly, contempt flashing in his eyes.
...
One lap around the track was 400 meters.
Twenty laps meant 8,000 meters.
These were humans, not Pokémon!
People in this world were far tougher than those back on Earth, but running eight kilometers in one go was still asking too much.
Several girls couldn't make it past ten laps, and some even fainted and had to be taken to the infirmary.
The remaining students were drenched in sweat, gasping heavily as they ran.
But two of them looked completely out of place among the exhausted crowd.
Aaron and Braveon.
Aaron's current physical fitness was comparable to that of a Gym-level Pokémon. How could a mere eight kilometers possibly tire him out?
As for Braveon, he seemed to be using Aura to support his body. A faint blue glow shimmered around him, and he was still running with ease.
Before long, Aaron and Braveon were the first to return to the assembly point.
"Not bad... As expected of the students ranked first and second on this year's Hidden Dragon Rankings."
"You two might actually be worth something..."
Quincy watched them return without even looking winded and gave a faint smile.
But when his gaze settled on Aaron, something colder crept into that smile.
Aaron gave him a casual glance and ignored him.
Through the Bond Phenomenon, Aaron sensed a dark, hostile aura coming from the man.
Pure loathing.
It seemed this man was hostile toward him, and not just a little.
That was reason enough not to bother being polite.
Braveon disliked the instructor's heavy-handed methods just as much, so he ignored him too.
For a moment, Quincy's expression darkened.
Damn brats.
They really thought they could look down on him?
"Hmph... Just you wait."
"Number one on the Hidden Dragon Rankings? Number two?"
"And you—the brat who killed my cousin. I may not dare to kill you, but I can still make your life miserable."
Quincy seethed internally.
Soon, the students finished their twenty laps one after another.
The moment they returned to the assembly point, they collapsed onto the ground, completely spent, gasping for breath and soaked from head to toe.
"What's wrong? What's wrong...?"
"Just twenty measly laps and you're already worn out like this?"
"Back when I was in the army, I marched twenty kilometers under a full load and still didn't look as weak as you."
"Is this really the best Crown University's top classes have to offer?"
"Looks like nothing special to me..."
Quincy sneered at the exhausted students.
"Instructor... we're Pokémon Trainers, not Human Trainers. Not everyone has that kind of stamina."
"Besides, several girls have already fainted and been sent to the infirmary. Is training this intense really reasonable?"
"I don't think this training has any meaning at all. I think you're deliberately punishing us."
One boy finally snapped. He forced himself upright and spoke out against Quincy.
"Good... Well said!"
"What's your name?"
Quincy's eyes sharpened, and a thin smile tugged at his lips as he looked at the boy.
"I'm Ross from Pokémon Battle Studies, Class 1!"
Thinking the instructor was praising him, Ross brightened and answered at once.
"Ross... I regret to inform you that you've failed trainer camp."
"Under Hualis's university trainer camp regulations, anyone who fails must take a temporary leave of absence and report to a League training base for remedial training."
"If you fail again... your enrollment will be revoked!"
Quincy looked at Ross with a smile and delivered the words with feigned regret.
Ross went pale.
He hurried over, bowed, and apologized.
"Instructor... I'm sorry!"
"I was wrong... Please give me another chance. I won't question you again."
"Please just let me off this once..."
"I'm begging you, Instructor!"
Ross pleaded desperately, practically begging for mercy.
"Ross... you openly defied your instructor. This punishment is already lenient."
"With another instructor, you might've gotten a beating before being sent straight to the Registrar's Office to withdraw."
Watching Ross beg so desperately filled Quincy with a twisted sense of satisfaction.
He answered with mock sympathy.
"Hahahaha... A genius? An elite prodigy?"
"In the end, you're still wagging your tail at me like a dog!"
"Worthless trash... All of you are trash!"
Quincy laughed inwardly, savoring the sense of power it gave him.
"Ross... go to the Registrar's Office and file for academic leave. If you keep disrupting trainer camp, taking leave will be the least of your problems."
Quincy put on a regretful expression and waved Ross away.
Ross's face turned ashen.
With his head lowered, he shuffled away like a ghost.
The remaining students watched him leave and quickly scrambled up from the ground.
They stood straight in formation, and even their lines became much neater.
Seeing this, Quincy showed a smug smile.
Make an example of one, and the rest fall in line.
He used the same trick every year.
It worked beautifully.
There were always a few unlucky ones he could kick out.
"ARE YOU TIRED?"
Quincy shouted.
"NO, INSTRUCTOR!"
The students forced down their exhaustion and answered loudly.
"IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH MY TRAINING?"
"NO, INSTRUCTOR!"
"Good... Very good."
"We'll continue training!"
Quincy smiled, satisfied.
