Chapter 98: The Fairies’ Guild Master

  • Next Chapter

Blaze transformed back into his Silver Werewolf form. In this state, he possessed higher Intelligence and Faith.

These two Attributes influenced his perception of the world.

The text that recorded Magic, the hidden information of Skills—these were all related to Intelligence and Faith.

Since [Arcadia’s Secret Part 3] had appeared, it meant that the matter had not yet been resolved. There was still a problem with Audrey.

Blaze circled Audrey, who seemed to be the new Silver King, looking her up and down from time to time. Occasionally, he would pinch a strand of her newly colored hair and sniff it.

However, Audrey only had the special [Unawakened] status on her, which simply meant that the Silver Blood in her body had not yet awakened.

Perhaps the next stage of the quest would only open once Audrey awakened her Silver Blood.

"I don’t plan to awaken my Silver Blood right now." Audrey pushed Blaze away with a slight blush, her neck tickling from his breath. "As the new Lord, I will go meet the King of the Giant Kingdom to explain the situation in Arcadia."

The reasons for this were complicated. Mainly, Audrey hoped to introduce New Arcadia to the world in a more gentle manner. No matter what, the impression Werewolves gave the public was simply too terrifying. Even if she clearly explained the cause, the world—or at least the people in the surrounding territories—would not be able to accept a nation entirely made up of Werewolves.

Therefore, Audrey planned to use a method of self-restraint to show the surrounding Lords and Kings that Arcadia was harmless.

Once everyone gradually accepted them, or after the Arcadian Foreigners achieved praiseworthy feats, she would open up further.

Even ignoring the surrounding territories, the Arcadians themselves needed some time to step out of the darkness and get used to the Sunshine.

"Besides, we still need to create the Secret Medicine and verify your guess about the Curse first, don’t we?"

Audrey plucked a Silver flower and waved it under Blaze’s nose. The gentle brushing of the petals and the floral Incense caused Blaze, who was not yet accustomed to his new body, to uncontrollably sneeze.

A wolf’s nose was simply too sensitive.

"HAHAHA!"

Audrey let out a silvery laugh. Like a little girl who had successfully pulled off a prank, she clasped her hands behind her back and skipped forward.

"Let’s go, Blaze!"

"Oh!"

Blaze rubbed his nose uncomfortably and reached out to pull Greenland, who was still muttering to herself.

A minor accident occurred in the process. The moment Blaze’s hand touched Greenland, it inflicted a massive amount of Holy Damage.

If Greenland hadn’t instantly transformed into her Silver Werewolf state, Blaze’s grab would have nearly instakilled her.

Blaze immediately apologized, but Greenland was actually quite happy. She discovered that the Silver Werewolf’s Divine Body vastly increased her Divine Resistance.

When Audrey stepped out from the Silver Prince’s statue, she was greeted by Herbie, who was covered in dust and grime but smiling brightly with a pile of contracts in her arms.

Evidently, Herbie had been inside the Silver Castle when it collapsed. Although uninjured, she looked quite disheveled.

"Audrey, I have several pieces of good news, and even more great news! Which one do you want to hear first?"

"The fact that you’re safe is the best news I could ask for." Audrey reached out and rubbed Herbie’s head. Herbie immediately flashed a goofy, puppy-like smile.

Only then did Herbie notice that Audrey’s hair had changed color.

"What’s this?"

"HMM... A gift our ancestors left for us Arcadians." Audrey pinned up her long hair without explaining too much. Holding Herbie’s hand, she walked down the ruins of the Silver Castle. "How many of my meet-and-greet vouchers did you sell?"

"HEHEHE, over six hundred, I think. But the vast majority were exchanged through commissions. I also gave the Vice Aliens a hidden piece of land on your behalf to build their stronghold."

"How many newborn Arcadian Foreigners are there?"

"Around two hundred. They excitedly asked us how to awaken their Silver Blood. What should we do?"

"HMM... How about telling them they need to acquire some prerequisite Professions first? That way, we’ll have time to investigate and compile the Silver Prince’s biography, as well as research the Secret Medicine."

Audrey and Herbie walked further and further away. They were going to meet the Foreigners.

Blaze watched their retreating backs. They had probably fantasized about this exact moment for many years, so he tactfully gave them their space.

Blaze remained where he was. He raised his arm, providing a place for the flying chicken to land.

"That Foreigner named Flying Brick is looking for you. He seems to want to bring someone to meet you."

Before Blaze could speak, Greenland pricked up her ears beside him.

"Do you want to come along?" Blaze could tell that Greenland cared a lot about this. He knew that Foreigners would sometimes exhibit possessiveness.

"HMM... HMM... HMM..."

Greenland crossed her arms, a pained expression remaining on her face for a long while before she finally chose not to tag along. She didn’t like others stealing her special storylines, so she wouldn’t steal anyone else’s either.

"I think I’ll pass."

Blaze met secretly with Flying Brick in an empty alleyway. Flying Brick had brought along the guildmaster of the top-tier guild [Fairy Kingdom]—Kate Cat. She was the heroic and valiant silver-haired Knight who had stood atop the city wall.

"This time, thanks to your help, Arcadia was able to be liberated."

Blaze thanked them sincerely. He knew that the vast majority of the Foreigners who had come were members of Fairy Kingdom. He also knew that Fairy Kingdom’s frontline members were busy raiding a terrifying Monster, so he was truly moved when he saw them show up.

"No, no, no! It’s we who should be thanking you. We merely wiped out a few Followers in passing, yet we received such a precious item. We are truly indebted to your care!"

The majestic Female Knight instantly shrank her neck and nodded meekly.

Flying Brick looked up at the sky. Simply put, his older sister—who was fierce to her own people but timid with strangers—was terrible at handling situations involving "owing favors" and "making requests."

Fairy Kingdom’s frontline raid group had already reached Full Level long ago. They could only improve their combat capabilities by defeating powerful enemies to obtain special weapons, which was extremely difficult.

However, the super item [Silver Blood], which could break the level cap, had been acquired by over a hundred members of Fairy Kingdom just by traveling for a few mere hours.

Without a doubt, this meant they owed a massive favor to Blaze, who had contacted them via letter.

Although they had received the crucial intelligence from Greenland...

If they had just believed it immediately and set off right away, the ones who obtained that crucial intelligence would have been Fairy Kingdom!

The Black Beast Knight had trusted them so much, yet they hadn’t seized the opportunity.

Secondly, Fairy Kingdom currently needed the Copper Coins in Blaze’s hands.

Furthermore, Kate Cat was a particularly straightforward person. Based on her own principles, she never intentionally distinguished between players and NPCs.

With all these factors combined, Kate Cat became extremely meek in front of Blaze.

Flying Brick knew that if he just stood by and watched the show without saying anything, Kate Cat would definitely beat him up in real life later.

"COUGH COUGH, this isn’t something worth going out of your way to thank us for. We also received a precious gift." Flying Brick coughed loudly, taking the initiative to take over the conversation. "However, this Lord is truly Underworld to actually seal off the Teleport Point. Even riding our Fast-Walking Ostriches, we barely made it in time."

"..." Blaze did not respond to this remark.

The one who had done that wasn’t Belcimann, but rather the residents of Lai Kaion City on their own accord. What the residents had seen the most were the Foreigners on the leaderboards teleporting into Lai Kaion City, excitedly discussing how many Werewolves they had caught that day.

They would rather face their own bestial nature than accept help from those highly-ranked Foreigners.

Flying Brick felt a bit uneasy because of Blaze’s silence, but he didn’t know what he had said wrong.

Logically speaking, this was the moment Blaze should have indignantly recounted some of the Deputy Lord’s evil deeds.

After a long time, Blaze finally nodded.

"Yes, many tragedies have indeed occurred on Arcadia’s territory, but the future will definitely be better."
