Chapter 1502: Chapter 489: Descent of the Saint_3
Moreover, it’s heavily guarded, almost every five steps there’s a station and every ten steps a sentry. Drones and surveillance are scattered all over, even optical stealth can’t get through.
Plus, the island is isolated overseas, with AI-controlled smart mines roaming in the water. Only hovercars can go in and out; any unapproved flying device will be shot down immediately, without even an alarm.
Not to mention the CIA, even Li De is at a loss right now, can’t find a way in.
"Can we figure out a way by water, like Brother Ni and them did last time when boarding the ship?"
Cybercles suggested an idea, but Jackal shook his head and said,
"The mines in this area are out of our control. If we take the water route, we’d have to defeat the AI controlling them first, but that would cause a big commotion."
Though Li De wasn’t sure what they meant by water route, he chimed in,
"We can’t act recklessly; if things go wrong, they might impose martial law and checks, even seal the island, and then we won’t find out anything."
"What do we do then?"
Cybercles buzzed and said,
"Even a bird flying over there would be shot down, my drones can’t get through at all."
"We have to think of another way."
Watching from a distance at the hovercars coming in and out of the island, Li De had a sense and connected with Brother Ni to ask,
"How’s the cleanup going over there?"
Inside a villa, Brother Ni was dragging a middle-aged white man by his hair, unconscious, up to the second floor, while typing back on a terminal with his other hand.
"These 3K party bishop guards are as weak as hell, not as tough as the Europeans in Cuba."
Hearing this, Li De’s nerves twitched.
"Try to keep the noise down, be careful not to attract attention."
Brother Ni glanced at Ruzuo, who was posing for selfies with the pile of bodies.
"I know, Ruzuo’s already killed them all, guaranteed no leaks."
"I..."
Li De’s face darkened further. Killing them all is useless; dead bodies are signals themselves, and killing so many will definitely alarm the other 3K members. Hoping Brother Ni and his team clean up well, don’t leave any clues.
"What about that bishop?"
"Still breathing. I spared his life, locked all his prosthetics and signals. Once I delete all the surveillance, no one will know we were here."
"That’s good."
Li De breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ask him how much he knows about the stuff over at St. Simmons."
"Alright."
Brother Ni dragged the hair, dumped the man onto the kitchen counter, and casually grabbed a bottle of iced water from the fridge to splash on the man’s face.
Under the shock of the ice water, the bishop finally woke up.
"Ha—"
But opening his eyes, he saw the guy who silently broke into his house and took out all his security, standing right in front of him. The bishop’s face twisted with fear.
He had no idea who sent this person, or why they were doing this, only knowing these two were cyber lunatics, having dragged him from the bathroom in just a robe.
Brother Ni took the knife box from the kitchen counter, placed it before the bishop, and casually picked one out.
"Tell me, how much do you know about what’s going on at St. Simmons."
The bishop, panting heavily, heard the words ’St. Simmons’ and instantly broke out in a cold sweat, hurriedly saying,
"I... I don’t know!!!"
Brother Ni stabbed the knife straight through the bishop’s foot, piercing through.
"I’ll give you money! As much as you want, twenty thousand enough? Fifty thousand will do!"
Brother Ni looked at the bishop in astonishment.
"How can you offer to give me my own money to save your life?"
"What?"
The bishop even forgot to scream in pain, completely unable to comprehend what Brother Ni meant, until Brother Ni picked out another knife and played with it in front of him.
"If I kill you, the money is mine anyway. You’re using my money to bargain with me?"
He said, and then stabbed it into the bishop’s other foot.
"Ah!!! I’ll talk! I’ll talk!"
The drilling pain from both feet made the bishop’s will crumble instantly.
Revealing information about St. Simmons would cause big trouble, but nothing could be worse than dying right now.
"My rank isn’t high enough to go to St. Simmons, I only know it’s where all the church top brass gather. Big names from all over the world often have meetings there."
"But I don’t know what exactly they do up there. I just know they demand me to capture and transfer people frequently, asking for extremely harsh conditions. However, they always have lists, specifically naming those who meet the criteria."
"At first, I didn’t know where those people went. Later, at a meeting, I overheard they were all sent to St. Simmons Island. None who went to the island ever came back alive."
As he spoke, the bishop’s face grew paler.
"One time, my guys even fished a corpse out of the sea. Though bloated, I recognized the tattoo from a man I captured."
"I really don’t know more than this."
Brother Ni’s lips twitched; from the bishop’s few words, he probably guessed the situation on that island.
The infamous Lolita Island revealed long ago, not much of a surprise, leaving him utterly disappointed.
"You heard?"
Li De on the other end of the channel was silent for a few seconds.
"Heard it. Take care of him and regroup."
