Pirate Kingship
Chapter 1470: The Radiant Queen Gives Birth, East Lancashire Dynasty (Part 2)
The decryption rate on the Sailing Logbook [Hidden: The Pope and the Council of the Divine Presence’s Fall, Historical Influence 69] suddenly jumped from 35% to 38%.
Couldn’t help but feel a heaviness in my heart:
“Why do I feel that the ‘Protestant Slaughter Order’ is not just the Pope stirring trouble, there seems to be other issues behind it. Especially at this particular time, it raises more suspicion. October 31st of this month is the annual Night of the Dead, and the next day, November 1st, is the Church’s All Saints’ Day. The Silver Law is already like a sieve, and many places in The Holy Silver Empire are turned into haunted lands; if hundreds of thousands of innocents die tragically on the continent this month. It’s according to the bizarre, the evil on those Constant Unexpected Techniques on the evil spirits, if nothing major happens on that day, it would be a miracle. These bastards from the Council of the Divine Presence have ruled the continent for one thousand five hundred years, they must have some leverage, and they’ve already begun to act recklessly.”
He felt a sense of urgency rise in his heart, and Richelieu felt the same.
This Red-clothed Cardinal rushed into the Sacred Heart Cathedral, removed the Iris Crown from Louis XI’s head, and respectfully handed it to Byron, solemnly advising:
“Saint Byron Your Majesty, please go immediately to the Red Maple White Dew Palace for coronation. I understand my former colleagues in the Orthodox Church, since they have acted against the Iris Royal Family, it means they are prepared to invade our territory. After Saint Matthew died, I have mobilized the Law Network to issue orders to the nobility, administrative officials, and generals nationwide; they will attend your coronation ceremony with legal projections. After which I will fully support you in coordinating the military forces to engage in a national war against the Orthodox Alliance, avenging the tragically deceased Royal Family and innocent citizens of the Royal Capital!”
Before the victory in the Red and White Rose War was decided, this Prime Minister had been planning to dismantle all noble castles within the kingdom’s hinterlands to assist the Royal Family in achieving centralization, laying the foundation for the Iris to replace The Holy Silver Empire in dominating the continent (Chapter 576).
He initiated the centralization much earlier than the Kingdom of Hightins.
He had long commanded a professional army independent of the nobility, and unlike the North Sea Empire, which prioritized navy over army, he maintained strength in both arenas.
Had it not been for the already vast Orthodox forces within and outside the country conspiring to attack, he would not have suffered such a tragic defeat.
He thought to himself:
‘To speak frankly, the excessive bloodshed of the Valois Royal Family does have a bit of a silver lining.
Perfect excuse to brutally eliminate all Orthodox factions within the country and even guide the whole nation collectively to convert, fully embracing the Protestant Doctrine.’
Though the Royal Family changed, the people did not, so the Iris remains the same as ever, which greatly comforts Richelieu.
Though some say that no one can capture the Royal Capital before the Iris surrenders, others say the Iris can only win battles under the leadership of women, foreigners, and short people.
Whether these prophecies hold any truth, at the moment Byron, a foreigner, was crowned, they all unraveled without effort.
Byron was very pleased with Richelieu’s decisiveness, patted the elder’s shoulder, and promptly appointed him as Prime Minister among the Human Emperor’s sixteen Kings’ Right Hands.
From now on, Richelieu was not just the Prime Minister of the Iris Kingdom but also of the entire North Sea Empire.
He smiled at him:
“Prime Minister, now you should call me: My Majesty.”
Some covet wealth, some love fame, some just want self-fulfillment.
The renowned [Red-clothed Prime Minister] Richelieu’s obsession is patriotism, resolutely determined to lead his country to dominate, even decisively abandoning the Orthodox Church he believed in for a lifetime.
Besides possessing great capabilities and tremendous achievements.
So he should not only love the Iris but also embrace the entire North Sea Empire and the human race.
Furthermore, Byron eagerly anticipates the fascinating chemical reaction that a genuine Iris person running to Kingston to perform “Yes, Prime Minister” might produce.
“This is…”
Initially indifferent, the elder Richelieu’s impression of the North Sea Empire was limited to the tip of the iceberg as publicly revealed by Byron.
But upon gaining high privileges within the Royal Iron Law, as he gradually received part of the core secrets of the North Sea Empire, his eyes widened ever more.
For the first time, he saw the vast extent of Byron’s Royal Iron Law coverage.
“Silver Law, Golden Law, Bronze Law… from the continent’s West Coast, to the East Coast, to the Southern Continent, to the Eastern Continent, further to the enclaves in the Stormy Ocean… And the [First Empire of the Sun Never Sets] title effect… Sun Protection, Mountain Peak Country, Berserker Gene… Hiss—!”
Just a few words, Byron granted him the colossal stage he dreamt of, absolute support and trust.
Moreover, all these evidences indicate that the image of the Savior in the “Book of Creation” begins to perfectly coincide with Saint Byron.
“From rivers to the sea, becoming the Prime Minister of the Terrestrial Divine Kingdom for the Messiah? How could I, Richelieu, ever come to this day?!”
Religious authority and royal authority, faith and reality no longer need to oppose each other; for a devout Cardinal Archbishop and patriot, no greater joy exists on earth.
Happiness came too swiftly, the elder’s body twitched, almost ascended on the spot.
With a “plop,” he knelt abruptly on the ground, instinctively shouted a word he once heard as a joke while gathering intelligence on the Kingdom of Hightins:
“Imperial loyalty!!!”
“Long live the Messiah King!!!”
A thick chain swiftly formed between him and Byron.
If Byron relied on himself to gradually streamline the hierarchy of the Iris Kingdom, it would at least take several months; however, after completely winning over Richelieu, the elder’s subjective initiative would only exceed his own.
