Pirate Kingship
Chapter 1466: National Title: The First Empire of the Sun Never Sets! (Part 2)
Byron and Violet shared the intelligence they had gathered, and the latter’s eyes sparkled with excitement, unable to resist saying:
“The world is full of wonders. If we combine this plant with our warships, whether it’s the sail battleships of the interdiction cruiser fleet or the steam battleships of the Dreadnought fleet, the speed can be instantly increased significantly. Even though many artisan groups are currently researching the steam airships, which they fear might crash from above due to a ruptured airbag, they could become a reality in a short time. Safety is one hundred percent guaranteed.”
[War Queen] Violet Her Majesty mentioned her usual domain in just three sentences.
Byron, however, immediately noticed a line in the Sailing Logbook: “The unique spiritual environment”.
This unfamiliar continent has only shown the tip of the iceberg, yet everywhere indicates its extraordinariness.
Buzz——!
Byron activated his divine position and Unity of All Things, merging with this world.
Although Fourth Order [Navigator] Delia didn’t accompany him, Byron had the divine position bonuses of [Sky] and [Thunderstorm], boosting his sensitivity to the planet’s magnetic field to an extraordinary level.
Even ordinary pigeons with similar abilities wouldn’t get lost during migration, let alone him?
Acting as a human navigator is not a problem at all.
After a brief sensing, he determined the continent’s location is approximately directly opposite the Echidna Triangle Circulation Center on the other side of the planet.
It is also the Triple Point anchored by Pillar of Hailocus at the world’s end, corresponding in the material world to the largest breach on this world ship’s waterline.
Byron’s face was full of shock, murmuring:
“The Source Tide outside the material world penetrates into the material world through the ‘Triple Point’, like the planetary magnetic field erupting from the poles, with one end receiving and the other sending out. Ultimately forming a strong spiritual environment across the world, and creating another core ‘Spirit Pole’ with opposite properties on this land at the center of the Stormy Ocean. One ‘Spirit Pole’ is the dangerous Deep Sea, while the other ‘Spirit Pole’ is a vast land, leading to the continent’s extraordinary diversity. According to the active concentration of such a spiritual tide, ordinary human settlements would hardly survive in this land. It might even revert to a wilderness where power is king, leaving no space for terrifying upright apes to develop. Even if there are intelligent creatures, they must at least be naturally extraordinary sub-human species.”
Thoughts flashed across his mind, as he pulled Violet to land on a large floating island about twenty square kilometers.
The lush floating island has water sources and many marsupials.
But they both ignored these, as Byron’s landing crushed a white stone on the ground underfoot, surprising them before instant joy ensued.
This island is covered with a type of white stone, fragile in texture, breaking upon stepping on it, and numerous layers found underground through [Divine Sight].
Similar situations apply to the surrounding floating islands, with no mineral resources but only this white stone.
Eight Fingers and a group of Guardsmen, having followed using Bat Transformation Technique, curiously picked up the stones to examine them.
“What is this?”
Eight Fingers picked it up and sniffed, immediately wrinkling his brows and throwing it back to the ground, because it looked like a stone but clearly had a lingering faint smell like bird droppings.
Beside him, Violet was unconcerned, picking up a stone, rubbing it between her fingers, her face lit up further with joy:
“This thing is useless to regular adventurers, but to a country, its value is equal to discovering a giant gold mine.”
There is no greater chemist than Violet in this world; her words are authoritative.
The ship crew, with a pirate background, couldn’t discern these stones’ value, but to Byron and Violet they represented immense wealth.
It’s even considered an inexhaustible gold mine.
But, just like those church nations allowing cities to become vast latrines, here they lay buried for centuries without anyone knowing how to utilize them.
The [Sailing Logbook] displays details: “bird dropping stone, a type of mineral, also known as phosphate rock. A collection of bird, bat, and other animal dung, corpses, and soil interactions, ultimately forming a high-quality fertilizer.”
This floating island is likely located along migratory birds’ necessary path, with few predators making it very safe.
For centuries, countless amounts of bird dropping stone have accumulated, slightly digging down would yield raw materials for producing high-quality fertilizer.
“Especially for sister Catherine, the giant dragon lady who possesses [Finance], [Agriculture], and [Harvest] divine positions, resting on bird dropping stone during slumber would be far better than lying on a vault! I heard many noblewomen use bird dropping to beautify their faces, truly killing two birds with one stone.”
Of course, Byron only dared to think this; if he genuinely attempted a prank on sister, he might be killed on the spot.
Then, Byron named this floating island group, rich in bird dropping stones: “Nauru Islands”.
Using the name of this former world-leading average annual income super-rich nation to remind himself, overly abundant resources sometimes also bring a curse capable of destroying a country.
The resource curse is everywhere; citizens may prosper for a while but will eventually squander their ancestors’ wealth.
