Pioneer Lord: I Have Conquering System

Chapter 567 - 361: Max Level Attributes, Who Do I Fear?

  • Next Chapter

As a Red Dragon who had lived for millennia and witnessed countless spectacles, he only needed a quick glance at the scene to grasp the full picture: the absence of Elemental Power, the clothes scattered on the ground, and that ever-intensifying aura.

This Tyrant must have arrived in some unknown world and provoked a powerful being who ascended by sacrificing countless lives. And it wasn’t just some Legendary being; the other party even possessed the aura of a Divine Format.

"You’re asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?" Levi rolled his eyes.

"Can you handle this?" Digen asked.

"Whether I can handle it or not, I have to give it a try."

Levi’s words nearly made Digen’s eyes roll back in his head.

"We’re done for, we’re done for..." Digen’s Dragon Soul paced in circles within the Dragon Crystal, a few drops of ethereal sweat even appearing on his draconic face.

"What the hell are you so afraid of?" Levi asked, utterly contemptuous. "And you call yourself a Legendary Red Dragon. When you were alive, you dared to charge into the Abyss alone and raise hell. What are you afraid of? Hmm?"

"Foolish human whelp!" Digen’s previous sycophancy was long forgotten. "What do you know? He has the aura of the Gods! This is undoubtedly a Demigod! I admit, you’re strong. Even when I was alive, I might not have been your match. But the gap between a Demigod and a Legendary is wider than the one between a dog and a tiger! If you don’t want your arrogance to leave you in the same state as me, then hurry up and leave before he’s fully awake!"

"You want me to shy away from a fight?"

The Dragon Soul trembled. Digen was now in utter despair, mentally spewing curses in the Dragon Language. ’If this Tyrant dies, he dies! Do I have to die a second time with him?’

As a clap of thunder echoed from above the gray clouds, the magnificent man opened his eyes, which shone with the light of destruction. He cracked his neck with a series of sharp reports, his gaze falling upon Levi’s group. "As a reward for ensuring the perfect completion of my ascension ritual," he began, "I shall grant you a painless death."

"And as for you?"

He turned his head slightly, looking toward the hundreds of approaching Divine Abominations. Extending his hand, he gently clenched his fist. The Divine Abominations, which had been a source of endless lament for the Divine Servants for millennia, burst into a bloody mist like watermelons smashed on the ground.

"You are no longer of any use."

The moment he appeared, he demonstrated unimaginable power. The Divine Abominations, which would have taken even the Son of Hope considerable effort to defeat, were weaker than ants in his hands.

This simple, brutal display delivered the most stunning visual impact.

Digen, not yet giving up, was still trying to persuade him. But convincing someone so stubbornly set on his path was obviously a fool’s errand.

"This was all your doing, wasn’t it?" Levi asked calmly. He could feel the Holy Light Seed within him seething.

Perhaps in the mood of a cat toying with a mouse, the man didn’t seem to mind indulging his desire to boast before killing a few insects. "That’s right," he said. "I used an overwhelmingly powerful external enemy to oppress all the descendants of my Bloodline. When they were on the verge of collapse, I sent the Son of Hope to them in their dreams—a dream of dispelling the darkness. Then, once the Son of Hope was slain and their hope was shattered, all their resentment swept over everything to form a tangible Telekinesis Field. Finally, I sacrificed their resentment and their flesh to forge a Divine Fragment, thereby elevating my own station!"

"I planned this ritual for millennia."

He spoke with great satisfaction, like a slave trader who had just acquired a rare Elf slave, brimming with pride at his own cleverness.

"Only those who have fallen into darkness and worship the Chaos True Lord would use such a vile ritual." Digen, with his vast knowledge, had pieced together the man’s origins from these few words.

It all made sense now. Ever since arriving in this world, the Lord had felt as if everything was orchestrated, as if they were all just following a predetermined script. He had initially thought the mastermind was this "Son of Hope," so he had stood by, watching coldly and playing along.

But he never expected that the Son of Hope was also just a cog in the machine. The true operator of this entire affair was the Fallen Divine Servant before him, transported to this world by the Saints.

"Frankly," the man said, his tone lofty, "my plan was for the Divine Abominations to slay this Son of Hope. I never expected the task would be completed by a wretched insect like you."

"Now, I just need to deal with you lot, find that disgusting sword, and then I can finally leave this world."

"Go to hell!" With a flick of his wrist, Levi launched a javelin.

The javelin became a black streak, colliding head-on with the man’s outstretched palm.

As it turned out, anyone could talk big, but it wouldn’t add an ounce of strength. So what if he was a Demigod? He had not yet truly become a God with a physical divine form.

The next moment, a high-pitched roar, filled with fury, threatened to shatter the gray clouds.

With enough Power, even the most ordinary javelin could pierce the indestructible Dragon Scale of a Giant Dragon. And this was to say nothing of the Lord’s javelin, which was specially forged to fight Giant Dragons, viciously alloyed with the Magic Metal known as Refined Gold.

"Damned insect! I, Urolo, swear I will feed your flesh to the wolves, fashion your bones into my throne, and imprison your soul in Eternal Purgatory to be tormented for ten million years!" Urolo, who had just ascended to Demigod, possessed physical defenses on par with the tough Scale of a Giant Dragon, yet a javelin had just pierced his palm, leaving a small, bloody hole.

Although the injury was negligible to him, the mere fact that it had happened sent him into a rage.

Even as a Demigod, he still possessed mortal emotions, which made it all the more difficult to accept being wounded by someone he considered an insect.

He raged. He roared. In the blink of an eye, his terrifyingly massive frame was upon them, a giant Longsword raised high before it crashed down.

The wind shrieked past their ears, the world-destroying might of the blow threatening to sunder heaven and earth.

Levi let out a roar and fearlessly met the attack head-on, swinging his massive Flame Sword up to meet the blow.

Watching this, Fatir broke out in a cold sweat for Levi. Her hands couldn’t help but clutch the black silk blindfold over her eyes. ’With such a massive size difference, he’s sure to be at a disadvantage in a direct clash!’ she thought. She wanted to use her ace in the hole at once, but the time wasn’t right. She had discussed it with Levi, and he had told her not to use it without his signal.

In that instant, the world itself seemed to transform into an arena for a duel between Divine Warriors, both combatants striking with no quarter given.

The moment the Flame Sword and Giant Sword crashed in midair, a deafening, thunder-like explosion erupted. The sudden shower of sparks was blinding.

The flesh between Levi’s thumb and forefinger split open. Blood trickled down his skin and dripped to the ground. Digen’s Howl—forged by the Gods from the very Keel of a Legendary Giant Dragon—had a palm-sized chunk taken out of its edge from the sheer force of the impact.

This was the first time the Lord had been injured. Not even his head-on clash with the Balrog Flame Demon had been this brutal.

But his opponent was hardly better off. His Giant Sword had been sheared in two, and Digen’s Howl had grazed his cheek, leaving a bloody gash. Blue blood gushed from the wound, staining the grass below.

Mere inches apart, Levi and Urolo stared silently at one another. If the savagery in their eyes could become blades, it would be enough to flay the flesh from a living Giant Dragon.

Without another word, they swung their weapons and crashed into each other once more.

Two beings of vastly different sizes were locked in close-quarters combat, a primal and breathtaking slaughter. If the most famous painter in all of Debei were to witness this battle, he would be too overcome with emotion to hold his brush. Beneath leaden clouds and amidst a torrential downpour, it was as if the final battle for the world was being waged. Two mighty creatures, each capable of slaying a Giant Dragon, fought relentlessly, a perfect, flawless display of power and beauty.

Tsunami-like roars threatened to deafen all who heard them, and the terrifying Power they unleashed was enough to sunder mountains!
