"So, do you know Magic? The more powerful, the better?"

The Lord’s gaze was fixed on the Dragon Soul. If it so much as uttered the word "yes," then a Red Dragon named Digen would vanish from this world completely.

In his view, that Magic stuff was a tool for schemers. One wrong move and you could get screwed over. Especially by a Giant Dragon that had been so powerful in life.

"Even Dragon Language Magic requires Magic Power to cast. I... I’m just a wisp of a True Spirit now. I can’t cast any Magic." The Red Dragon shook its head with difficulty, but then quickly added, "But I know many secrets unknown to the world, and I can control the Dragon Flame on this sword. My Lord, I’m useful!"

"Congratulations. Your honesty has earned you a chance to live."

’Was it really because of my honesty?’ Digen thought.

Even a Goblin could see the real reason.

But the dragon was now under someone else’s roof. It knew better than to say more, and simply put on a look of profound gratitude.

The Holy Light around Levi faded. He looked over at Sivia, who was pretending to be aloof but had secretly been eavesdropping. "Lady Sivia, thank you for your trouble. I’ll go to Gonda next month."

"Fine. Since my part of the deal is done, I’ll be leaving now." She nodded, then turned and left without any hesitation. Her figure quickly disappeared from the Lord’s sight.

Levi breathed a sigh of relief. He had been genuinely worried she might be interested in a Giant Dragon’s treasure, but clearly, she wasn’t one of the Five-Colored Evil Dragons, but rather a Silver Dragon, the kind most friendly to humans.

He then rushed back to High Cliff Castle, impatient. Along the way, he ran into the Barbarians, who were training with their arms bare.

With their current physical conditioning, they were completely unafraid of the cold after just a little activity. Some were even rolling around in the snow, steam rising from their bodies as if they were all smoking opium, wreathed in mist.

The new Northern Old People who had just joined High Cliff Castle stared, dumbfounded.

"Chief, is the problem solved?" they asked casually, seeing Levi in a hurry.

"It’s solved." Levi nodded, then gave a secretive order. "Go lock down the area around my residence. Don’t alarm the common folk."

The Barbarians immediately grabbed their War Axes, put on their Armor, and took over guard duty from the Vassal Races. The Feder Archers climbed the watchtowers, their eagle-sharp eyes scanning in all directions.

The core area of High Cliff Castle was now under strict martial law; not even a Snowbird could fly in.

Although the leaders of High Cliff Castle didn’t know what was happening, they all voluntarily gathered outside the Lord’s door, standing like guardian statues. Any suspicious person who approached would be met with their iron fists.

"Alright, talk. Where did you hide all your treasure?"

The Lord took out Digen’s Howl again.

Normally, the system’s inventory couldn’t store anything other than a horse, but it had no problem with the sentient Red Dragon.

Levi had also taken the opportunity to ask what it was like inside. The answer was complete darkness, with no sense of passing time.

"Ahem, My Lord, do you recall that I was slain by my nemesis in the Abyss?" Digen said cautiously.

"Hm? You’re not going to tell me your treasure is hidden in the Abyss, are you?!" The Lord’s gaze turned dangerous.

"No, no!" it quickly shook its head, terrified that a Holy Light Baptism would descend upon it. "Please, allow this humble one to explain."

"My Lord, you should know that the world we’re in now is called the Material Realm, right?" After getting an affirmative reply, Digen continued, "The Material Realm is like the yolk in a bird’s egg, and surrounding it are countless worlds and planes. Although they are separate from the Material Realm, they also depend on it for their existence."

Levi nodded, gesturing for it to continue.

Anyone with a bit of status and power knew of this theory. It was a conclusion reached by those Mages, and it had once been a subject of academic debate for all Mages to study.

It was hardly a world-shattering theory anymore, nothing to be shocked about.

"I was born in a small plane, one with no decent powerhouses. Thus, I was able to grow and eventually rule the entire plane, earning the title ’Crimson Wings,’ which spread through many worlds." As it spoke, a proud expression couldn’t help but appear on its face.

Generally speaking, for one’s fame to spread across various planes, one had to be at least a Legendary Level powerhouse. For this Red Dragon to have fought its way to the thirty-sixth level of the Abyss, it had to be somebody, probably with power around the Legendary level.

However, the pride on Digen’s face was quickly replaced by sycophancy. It continued, "For some reason, a Teleportation Gate from the Abyss connected to my plane. Those Demons began to wantonly slaughter my slaves, and you probably know what happened next."

"In a fit of rage, I charged into the Abyss and went on a rampage. But when I reached the thirty-sixth level, I was struck down and killed by that God."

Digen’s face was filled with resentment.

Levi looked at it as if it were an idiot. ’This guy got used to being the big fish in a small pond. He went to the Abyss and got a harsh dose of reality. I bet he’s learned his lesson now.’

Levi tapped on the table and asked with a calm expression, "So, you’re saying your treasure is all hidden in that plane?"

"Yes. Back then, to prevent me from escaping back to it, the other party also closed the Teleportation Gate to the Abyss. So my home plane definitely hasn’t been occupied by the Abyss." Digen nodded.

"Are you kidding me?" Hearing the affirmative answer, the Lord let out a cold laugh. The chill it contained was enough to freeze a three-foot-tall flame.
