Chapter 2285 - 94: Armor_2

Miss Knight raised her head to look at the Armor, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes, seemingly caught off guard by the opponent's Strength, yet her hands did not pause at all. She tossed aside the broken Knight Shield and attacked again with her Longsword.

The rusty Armor cleaved through Mei's Shield with a Longsword, emitting a sound with an ambiguous meaning, while it wobbled and retracted its Great Sword, regaining its balance. In that moment, Miss Knight had already reached up close—this rusty Armor bore on its back a Magic Guided Reactor equally corroded beyond recognition, shrouded in a layer of hazy black mist. As Mei approached, the Magic Guided Reactor on its back suddenly emitted a sharp buzzing sound, much like the sharp noise of Overload.

Bright light patterns lit up on the Armor, spreading outward from the Magic Guided Reactor at the center. Subsequently, a Shield was released from the rusty Armor, the ghostly blue light wrapping around Mei's sword edge, causing it to deflect aside and bypass the Armor.

"Magic Guided Armor."

Fang Hong observed the Armor, simultaneously giving Mei a low reminder.

The development of Eteliria's Armor after the rise of Alchemy gradually split into two factions. One faction continuously increased the Armor's weight, enhancing its defensive capabilities with multi-layered armor, and then used the Power of Magic Guided Devices to increase the wearer's Load-Bearing capacity, most of the Iron Guards adhered to this faction.

The other faction, known as Dragon Forging Technique, fundamentally altered the way Armor operated. The Alchemists of this faction crafted the Armor itself into a kind of Magic Guided Equipment, which is the origin of Magic Guided Armor.

Magic Guided Armor, despite its lighter weight, gained the protective capabilities of Fortress-type Armor through Magic enhancement, while also reinforcing flexibility. However, the downside is that Magic Guided Armor consumes a great deal of energy, and is extremely expensive, making it unfeasible for widespread use.

The Magic-Infused Armor in front of them is a typical Magic Guided Armor.

The rusty Armor deflected Mei's Attack, stepping back slightly, issuing a low grunt of appreciation from within the hazy black mist: "Not bad..."

This appreciation left Fang Hong, Luo Yu, and even Mei, who was engaged in Combat with it, momentarily stunned. Its appearance was not very surprising at first, for in such an underground relic, its original owner leaving an Activated Armor or a Construct Puppet behind as a guard is a common occurrence.

However, neither Activated Armor nor Construct Puppet possesses self-awareness, yet the hazy black mist gives off an impression akin to an Undead Creature.

Mei was taken aback, drawing back her sword warily as she looked at the figure, lifting her head to ask: "Who are you? Can you hear us talking?"

But the black mist and Armor did not respond, only raising its sword to block itself, adopting a standard posture, like a statue standing before the three of them.

Though it appeared to be motionless, anyone with a keen eye could tell that if Fang Hong and the others stepped forward, this battered Armor would instantly launch an Attack. Its Great Sword, the size of a door, was no joke.

In the dim light, there was a moment of silence.

Fang Hong turned back, speaking to Luo Yu and Mei: "Let's go together."

Mei hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Fang Hong raised his right hand, and the Dragon Hunter behind him immediately strode forward, with one metallic hand holding the Sword Sheath and the other gripping the sword blade. A bright blade gleamed in the darkness, executed through Fang Hong's manipulation, unleashing a Laido Slash toward the Armor.

Yet the Armor made no noticeable move, it simply laid down the Great Sword lightly, blocking the nearly doubled Attack amid a shower of sparks.

Fang Hong was taken aback, it was his first time seeing someone block a Dragon Hunter's Laido Slash head-on, and in such a casual manner—of course, assuming one could regard the opponent as 'someone.'

But the Armor indeed gave an illusion of battling against a person, for neither magic-borne Activated Armor nor Alchemy-crafted Construct Puppet could be so lifelike.

And the Armor was indeed more agile than an average person—

Having deflected the Dragon Hunter's attack, it immediately launched a counterattack, and Fang Hong felt the pressure mounting because the Dragon Hunter couldn't keep up with its rhythm.

In seven consecutive chases, each was like a gale and torrential rain, making the Dragon Hunter stagger with each strike. Although it barely fended them off, it was merely holding on by the skin of its teeth.

However, fortunately, Alchemists have never been masters of swordsmanship, Fang Hong pointed with his hand, casting another beam of ghostly blue light onto the Armor.

As if digitized Starlight surged from the void, cascading down like a blue Waterfall, gradually forming the outline of a Construct, another Dragon Hunter gradually took shape. Alchemists never prioritize swordsmanship, their philosophy serves solely the purpose.

And the purpose is victory, outnumbering the opponent is only natural.

The pursuit of Alchemists lies in the extremity of Magic Guided Engineering, as for Combat, it is merely incidental.

As soon as the Dragon Hunter appeared, it immediately launched an Attack. Yet, a jaw-dropping scene occurred, Fang Hong was left wide-eyed, watching as the rusty Armor leaned slightly forward, grasping the sword with both hands, and the next moment, a flurry of silver petals burst forth.
