Pillar of Yita
Chapter 2100 - 38: Heart of Chongshan V_2
"Be careful, fall back!"
"Stop casting spells, come to my side!"
But Time Reflection only turned back with a hint of bewilderment.
He saw Miss Nightingale's right arm transform into a pitch-black mist, sweeping towards his direction, with a somewhat anxious expression, as if she had seen something.
But suddenly the rock layers collapsed with a boom, and a crystal-like giant claw burst out from the ground, intercepting the mist just before it could reach between him and the other side.
At that moment, Time Reflection only felt the world turn upside down, the rolling stones dragging him downwards; he only saw that gigantic creature reveal its ferocious face from beneath the rock layers.
A crystal-like giant crab.
Rainbow glanced at him from afar and resolutely turned away.
That was the last sight Time Reflection saw.
In a daze, everything returned to darkness, but the sounds did not disappear; he did not know how much time had passed, but he seemed to still hear the sounds of battle.
He wasn't sure if it was a hallucination, or if he had once again experienced that previous battle, until a violent tremor shook him awake from his drowsiness.
His eyes first opened a narrow slit, and what entered his vision was light.
Orange light, a burning wall of fire, as if flames were burning on a dark ice layer, flickering shadows cast many pitch-black shadows on the gravel-covered ground.
He was still dazed, but instinctively recognized that the wall of fire was a magical effect, an Elementalist's Path of Flame, or perhaps a Magic Guided Crossbowman's Flame Ball.
Then a silhouette appeared in his phantom-filled vision.
Although he couldn't see the figure clearly, he recognized the young man wearing a brown trench coat, with a shirt and vest underneath, wearing a heavy glove, placing a hand on his shoulder and shaking him.
"Hey, are you okay?"
The voice was even younger than he imagined, somewhat childish.
The other turned his head, speaking:
"Tangtang, take a look at him."
"No need to look," a girl's voice said, somewhat impatiently, "I already checked earlier, are you stupid, brother? Instead of this, you should take him to a safer place, didn't you see those things are increasing."
"Tangtang, are you really Milaila's priest? I heard that Lord Goddess's believers are all good-tempered and patient, not like, like you, a bit, a bit..."
"A bit what?"
"A bit fierce and vicious..."
Two murderous glares landed on Fang Hong, who immediately shut his mouth with a lack of dignity.
This conversation made the already dazed Time Reflection even more confused, reminding him of the tone he used when joking with others in the guild chat, but it didn't seem suitable in this current environment.
He groaned, as if he just remembered where this was.
Right, where are those monsters?
Are the others in the group still alive?
As he was thinking, suddenly, those familiar blue shadows once again appeared in his vision. They emerged like phantoms in the darkness, sporadically appearing in the distance.
Time Reflection opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to warn the young man in front of him.
But with a boom, the ground shook slightly, and he instinctively turned his gaze to see a peculiar construct appear beside him.
It was slender, with a pointed hat, pitch-black all over, the edges of its armor emblazoned with golden patterns, tilting its head, raising a dark Magic Guided Gun to its shoulder, kneeling on the ground.
The young man straightened up.
He turned to look at those haunting blue shadows, raising his hand in one direction.
The construct pulled the trigger, and Time Reflection almost felt the air tremble, with fiery smoke spewing from the barrel of the Magic Guided Gun Lance.
A golden beam shot straight out from the clouds, like a meteor streak, crossing paths with the blue shadow. The latter paused, evidently sensing a threat from the blow.
Combat Artisan.
Time Reflection opened his mouth; he had seen Combat Artisans, but had never seen such a construct.
"You can't hit them, quickly leave..."
Though unsure of the other's origins, he still hoarsely tried to warn the young man and his sister of how terrifying these monsters were.
But the next moment, his voice got stuck in his throat.
He saw the young man adjusting his glove, seemingly muttering something, and in his stupor, he somehow understood the meaning:
"Calibrating shot."
The blue shadow sped up, like a blue phantom shooting across the gap.
But Time Reflection heard a loud bang, a golden beam shot from a direction he couldn't see, with a descending arc, accurately hitting the blue shadow's right shoulder.
The golden beam pierced through its crystal-like body, blasting open a large hole, time seemingly froze, and crystal shards splintered and scattered, sparkling as they flew.
Then the crystal monster, due to the immense impact, was flung backward, rolling several times on the ground.
What followed was a series of uninterrupted shots.
The young man stood not far from him, extending his left hand forward, pointing in one direction, and with each point, a golden line or multiple lines connected to the darkness in that direction.
