Chapter 2488 - 2496: Breaking Promises

Lu Shiqi couldn’t help but let out a light hum. What was originally a focused effort to provide Qin Yu with oxygen had now somewhat turned into the feeling of a passionate kiss.

"Yu... now is not the time, after we defeat the enemy, we..." The intense stimulation made it almost impossible for Lu Shiqi to breathe. Fearing that any mistake on her part might cost Qin Yu his life, Lu Shiqi hastily sent a message to Qin Yu.

Not the time? What’s not the time? Soon, Qin Yu found a special spot on the fishtail. Was Shiqi hurt? Why was there a tear in the fishtail?

Lu Shiqi couldn’t help but let out a light hum again.

Quickly, Qin Yu realized what he had touched. With an embarrassed look, he withdrew his large hand. Damn it, what was he doing?

If he allowed Shiqi to lose her focus here, he was afraid he’d end up buried at the bottom of the sea!

Qin Yu didn’t dare to mess around anymore and let Lu Shiqi pull him, quickly shooting towards the ocean surface.

Above the sea, Henderson was in a good mood. The Grim Reaper had been killed by him. All he needed to do now was to obtain the two Divine Artifacts from the Grim Reaper, and that would be a great achievement, and more importantly, his own great achievement!

The best part was that he could select some spoils for himself first, and the rest would be handed over to the Temple.

With a splash, Henderson leaped down from the water column, and with a plopping sound, he fell into the sea! Henderson, being a Psychic of the Water System, was not resisted by the sea at all!

Although Henderson couldn’t directly breathe oxygen underwater using his lungs, as a Water System Psychic, he was completely accepted by the sea! Diving caused him no pressure whatsoever.

Henderson, like a nimble fish, swam rapidly towards the ocean floor.

But halfway through, Henderson was shocked. What the hell? Was he seeing things? Was something pulling Qin Yu quickly ascending?

Henderson rubbed his eyes to confirm that he wasn’t seeing things. Indeed, something was pulling the Grim Reaper up swiftly. To be exact, it was a beautiful woman pulling him up, and she was a breathtaking beauty at that!

Where did this woman come from? Henderson didn’t figure it out right away, but he didn’t need to. As a Psychic of the Water System, Henderson was invincible in the ocean.

Just then, Henderson’s gaze sharpened. He saw the woman blocking Qin Yu’s mouth! This scene really annoyed Henderson. Damn it, why didn’t he receive such treatment?

Henderson raised his hand, conjuring a series of Water Swords, which crazily shot towards Qin Yu! He wanted to turn this couple into porcupines!

Qin Yu’s face turned pale. Without the protection of Purple Micro Battle Armor, these Water Swords could severely injure him, even kill him!

Qin Yu urgently communicated with the Purple Micro Star Ring Spirit, "Activate the backup energy storage immediately!"

"Activating backup energy storage one, countdown, ten, nine..."

Qin Yu was nearly frustrated to death. Damn it, what’s with the countdown at such a time? Can’t we just activate it directly?

As soon as Henderson made his move, Lu Shiqi felt it.

If Water System Psychics are the favored children of the sea, then Lu Shiqi was the sea’s own darling daughter. With a cold snort, and with no visible action from her, a rapidly spinning Water Wall appeared in front of her and Qin Yu!

Putt putt putt putt putt... The Water Swords hit the Water Wall and dissolved at a rate visible to the naked eye!

Henderson couldn’t believe his eyes. His signature move, Water Sword Dance, was blocked just like that? Wasn’t that a bit too unscientific?

Qin Yu was stunned for a moment. Wow! These Water Swords were imbued with Divine Power! How could Shiqi block them? And it looked so effortless!

Although Lu Shiqi seemed at ease, she was actually about to cry! She had just awakened, and her body had hardly absorbed any energy.

Just now, that attack had nearly drained all the energy from Lu Shiqi’s body; she was running out of the strength even to swim! If not for the ceaseless energy pouring in from the ocean, Lu Shiqi would have collapsed from exhaustion by now.

"Shiqi, well done! Kill him!" Without understanding Lu Shiqi’s physical condition, Qin Yu sent her a message through their mental link.

Lu Shiqi gave a wry smile. How could she do anything? She had no strength left at all!

"Brother Yu, I’m almost out of strength."

Upon hearing Lu Shiqi’s message, Qin Yu immediately realized that she was not as relaxed as she seemed. Fortunately, the countdown of the Purple Micro Battle Armor Spirit had finished and it activated the Purple Micro Battle Armor using a backup energy source!

Qin Yu stared at Henderson with grave eyes. He felt that the situation was very bad because Henderson’s gaze was dangerous, hinting at a powerful move in the making.

"If you can block this move, then today I will spare your lives!" After consecutively launching two powerful attacks, Henderson also felt very exhausted!

As he spoke, Henderson closed his eyes with utmost solemnity: "Advanced Divine Power—Divine Judgment!"

As his words fell, a Water Elemental Spear condensed in front of Henderson, radiating waves of overwhelmingly powerful energy!

Qin Yu’s complexion changed drastically! This was an SS-class energy fluctuation; this attack was comparable to a full-strength strike from an early-stage Divine Realm expert! Qin Yu quickly pulled Lu Shiqi behind him, not wanting her to get injured by mistake.

"Only at the bottom of the sea can I experience the power of an SS-class attack! Thank you, thank you for choosing the ocean as the battlefield!" Henderson let out a loud roar and thrust the spear fiercely!

The momentum of this thrust was unstoppable; the ocean water in its path was destroyed by the overwhelmingly powerful energy fluctuations, annihilated at the atomic level!

On the surface, Qin Yu might have had a chance to dodge, but here under the sea, he simply couldn’t evade in time. Qin Yu could only give a wry smile and pushed the energy fluctuations of the Purple Micro Battle Armor to the maximum!

With a boom, the Water Spear struck the Purple Micro Battle Armor heavily! Qin Yu and Lu Shiqi were pushed directly to the ocean floor by the spear, colliding with the sand!

Fortunately, thanks to the cushioning effect of several dozen meters of sea water, the impact with the sand was not severe, and they were not injured!

Beep beep—the Purple Micro Battle Armor Spirit issued another alert: energy consumption was too high, and it would soon revert back to the Purple Micro Star Ring form.

After exerting his full strength, Henderson too was greatly expended, gasping heavily. He fixed his gaze on Qin Yu and Lu Shiqi, disbelief in his eyes. They didn’t seem to have suffered any serious injuries!

Henderson just couldn’t believe his own eyes. Unscientific! His attack had been comparable to that of an early-stage Divine Realm Martial Artist! How could these two be completely unharmed?

He had to admit the Elder’s judgment was correct; Qin Yu did indeed possess a Divine Artifact, and not just one. The battle armor just now must have been a Divine Artifact!

Greed flashed in Henderson’s eyes—several Divine Artifacts and a woman whose aura was extremely pure and clean!

The Grim Reaper must be taken down!

Henderson took a deep breath, continuously drawing energy from the ocean, and charged towards the seabed like a missile!

Qin Yu rolled his eyes and transmitted a message: "Friend, don’t you keep your word? You clearly said just now, as long as we dodged that attack, you would spare our lives!"

"I did say that, so I will only beat you half to death, not kill you directly. As to whether you’ll end up fish food, that’s not something I should worry about."
